Why is it when Mikhail says that to her, Bristol looses all thought? She melts in his hands, enticed into submission. He’s intoxicating, driving all common sense away. She craves him even though she knows she shouldn’t, but she knows he’ll always keep her safe. Will he let her go, no; does she even want him to? Never!

She's back in Las Vegas and is looking for a job on her own merit without weigh of the Rork last name but is unsuccessful because she had been black balled because of dear old daddy. Her dad offered her job to work for him to help rid the city of all it's criminal element. But Bristol doesn't want to work for her dad.
Bristol is at her roommates from college Lilia wedding as one of her bridesmaid and is not having a good time because she doesn't fit in with that crowd. Additionally, she was constantly getting unwanted advances men for dances that she didn't want until Mikhail stepped in and saved her for the second time in her life. Mikhail had been watching her all night and was drawn to her. They danced together and flirted and ended spending a passion-filled night together and leaving the hotel room after while she was asleep. It was the best sex for both of them a night that they wouldn't forget and they believed that they would never see each other again, unbeknowing to them that their paths would crossed again soon when Bristol witnessed the death of Sergio Mikhail's mentor, friend and surrogate father. Sergio was murdered and video evidence showed that Bristol was the last person to see him alive and that he whispered something in her ears right before he took his last breath. Mikhail was pissed that Sergio was left unguarded which made it easier for his murderer to get to him.
He didn't understand why they wasn't at their post which would prevent his murder from happening. Bristol was at the wrong place yet again and Mikhail must save her before word gets out that she's a witness. He knows that once his enemies see the video she'll become a target. Sergio knew that his time with the Dmitriyev family was coming to an end soon and knew the perpetrator and planned for such leaving Mikhail clues and info as well as his debtors and how to get his money. When Mikhail sees the video of Sergio dying and talking to a woman he recognized her immediately that she was the bridesmaid that he had his one night stand with at his sister's wedding. He tracked her down and bring her back to his house for protection from the killer. But not before giving her a good spanking and a good fucking.
As they spends more time together he realized that they shared a past connection. As the two grows closer together they must uncovered the real
perpetrator and the connection to her father. She must choose between the love of her soul mate and the loyalty to her father. The two went on a journey of trust, violence and bloodshed while falling in love.

She has just passed the bar and has moved home to look for a job as a lawyer. Under normal circumstances, there worlds would collide….Mikhail’s sister Lilia is getting married to an Italian prince, Giovanni Costa, from the Costa Cosa Nostra Family. Bristol and Lilia were roommates at Yale together, and now, on her special day, one of her bridesmaids.

Bristol’s stunning beauty had grabbed almost all of his attention for the whole fifteen minutes that he was at the rehearsal dinner the night before. “I’d watched her as she’d sipped her wine, doing her best to fade into the group. But nothing about her could hide in the shadows. As per standard for Piper’s Mafia Romance stories, it is dark in places, violent at times, passionate in places, full of secrets, loyalties tested and let’s not forget the heat between Mikhail and Bristol. The chemistry between them is off the page! A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

She’s a bridesmaid in her college roommates wedding, sitting alone at a table during the reception he approaches her. She knows who he is, but all he knows is that she’s a friend of his sister. Their attraction is undeniable and after some verbal sparring, they agree to one night no strings attached. It was unbelievably spicy and memorable for both of them. But neither expects to see the other until faith brings them back together again. When she witnesses a murder of someone he was close to he decides to take her to protect her and to get answers. From the title, I was expecting a little primal kink, but this is not that book. This is definitely a mafia drama. There is a strong mafia family drama arc that runs through the story. There are also secrets from the past that unite them in unexpected ways, and it becomes a lot to unravel. I liked both of the characters and their chemistry was off the charts steamy. I just really wanted more on page time for the two of them. The author lays out a whole twisted tale and takes you on a ride. If you like a deeper layered plot, this one might be for you. If you like to keep the extemporaneous plot lines to a minimum and focus on the romance, this one might not be for you. It’s well written of course you get your happily ever after.

Mikhail Dmitriyeu is Pakhan of his family. He worked hard to get that position. When it comes to business or war, women and children are never part of it. Bristol is looking for her first job as a lawyer but keeps getting rejected. It seems that she has been blacklisted due to her father. Being part of her friend’s wedding party, she meets Lilia’s brother Mikhail. One passion filled night that can never be forgotten between these two. When a murder puts Bristol in Mikhail’s hands, things heat up. He knows she didn’t kill his friend but she knows who might have. Can these two make things work and find out who the killer is?

This is intense. The connection between these two if just fate. I did have a feeling though. And all the gray areas from the past to present, WOW. I can understand Bristol’s frustration as well as Mikahil’s possessive nature. I do love that she can kick butt. She is a great woman to have by his side. When she was finally able to remember what Sergio said, I felt heart sick for Mikhail. And the Irish mob, you know that isn’t over with. I want to know which of the brothers will be next to find his lady. No one can top Bristol.

Piper Stone has become a go-to author for me. If she writes it, I'm going to read it. Her dark mafia romances pull me in with the amazing characters and exciting worlds. This book delivered on all accounts. I was hooked by the action and excitement from the start. I especially love how all parts of the story come together in the end.

Another thing I love is that Piper Stone writes fantastic FMCs. Bristol is intelligent, feisty, and strong. And don't get me started on the MMCs, not only do they know how to treat women in the bedroom but most importantly out of it too. Mikhail is a sexy beast of a man with a heart that only beats for his woman.

The passionate scenes are written so well that I practically melt and overheat.

A fated romance with coincidences and suspense to ramp up the tension!
I was caught from the first chapter with Mikhail’s test by his father and mentor over retaliation against the Irish that could have gone horribly wrong. Thankfully, Mikhail saves a young girl from certain death while getting her father’s heartfelt thanks for saving her, and sets the stage for the rest of the book. Fast forward 10 years and Bristol feels out of place at her college roommate’s wedding. Or that is until a male guest won’t heed her refusal to dance and Mikhail steps in to protect her. The two hit it off and then some, but it’s just one night. Yet neither can forget the other while denying that it can go anywhere because of who they are, the head of the bratva and the mayor’s daughter. When Bristol delivers pizza to her sister’s best client, it’s only to walk in on his murder. This has Mikhail taking Bristol in to his world to keep her safe with the murder of his mentor. While the two fight against time to discover the Irish’s connection with the Mayor, neither can walk away from what may be the perfect soulmate for each other. How will it all end? You have to read to find out and don’t expect to put the book down until you turn the last page!

Bristol is back in Las Vegas after completing law school and passing the bar in Nevada. She has been invited to a bridesmaid in her roommate's wedding.
She encounters Mikhail when he intercedes on her behalf when another guest is making advances. They spend a spectacular night together, but Mihail leaves her before she wakes. She never gave him her name.
Later, she is a witness to the murder of his closest advisor. She escapes, but surveillance lets Mikhail know she was at the scene. He kidnaps her to find out what Sergei told her with his dying breaths, and also to protect her since she was a witness. Thus begins the back and forth between the Mikhail and Bristol.
There is a HEA ending, but there are quite a few twists in the plot which kept me glued to my Kindle.

This is the first in the Dmitriyev Bratva, this one is about the current Pakhan, the oldest son, Mikhail. He is at his sister's wedding and one of the bridesmaids catches his eye. Both act blasé about how much the other affects them. She goes with him to a private bar for a drink where he lays out terms, which she agrees. That night leaves a mark on both of them.

When his mentor is off and it comes out that she was there, he needs answers, they only to get them is from her. She is not forthcoming and he will punish her until she tells him the truth.

Mikhail is morally grey but looks out for his family and has lines he will not cross. Bristol thinks everything is black and white, good or evil; until life teaches her otherwise. She is just a woman strong enough to be his Queen.

Mikhail was a young man who save a little girl twenty years before and today he is still saving her.Bristol was that little girl.Mikhail is a Pakan who is legitimate but people from past are jealous over what Mikhail and his family have aquire over the years and now they are trying to make it look like Mikhail and his family are dirty.They go so far and kill Sergio ,Mikhail's mentor but Sergio had a feeling his time was coming and he left behind hints and who also was behind his death.this story was so beautiful, written well,fill with ton of jealousy, greed.But it had character where Mikhail may not of believe Bristol at first but his dreams wouldn't let up and she always believe in him even when she hated him.

What a wonderful Mafia read that will have you on the edge of your seat. This book is so good that you will want to read it in one sitting. I found this book impossible to put down. Makhail was trying to find his place in his Mafia family and saves a little girl in an amusement park as explosives go off. Many years later when Mikhail becomes Pakhan and sees a woman at his sister’s wedding (Bristol) and becomes infatuated with her. The connection they feel between each other is unfathomable until Bristol starts having flashbacks from her childhood. I don’t want to go into anymore details but this is a book you don’t want to miss.

It doesn’t matter that you were at the top of your class or that you passed the bar exam on the try. Her father is the mayor of Las Vegas. He wants her to start a commission getting rid of the “mafia families” especially the Russians. She doesn’t want to work for her father. The Russian Pakhan takes women and uses them to scratch his itch. That is, until he meets Bristol. They're flirting leads to a one night stand full of really hot, five alarm fun. Mikhail’s BFF is murdered and Bristol is tied up in it. This is a great book. Please read the trigger warnings first.

Loved Mikhail he is one hot sexy over the top possessive alpha.
When Bristol comes across a murder it is Mikhail who again comes to save her.
This book has some very hot scenes, with drama and great characters.

Bristol graduated top of her class at Yale Law. Now she just wants to get a job on her own merit and not her father's name. One mistake at her friend's wedding is going to cost her more than she realizes.

I was enthralled by the characters. Both strong and sure. The story was good, entertaining.

Mikhail is the definition of over the top, and I kinda loved it. Bristol actually holds her own, which made their arguments and chemistry fun instead of cringey. The pacing was uneven, like half mafia drama and half smoldering tension, but it somehow worked. The flashbacks tied into the present better than I expected, and that connection gave their relationship some weight. I did wish the romance had more page time instead of constantly being interrupted by murder plots, but the spice was worth the wait. Piper Stone clearly enjoys writing morally gray chaos and I was here for it.
