One Night. One date. One missing man.
After a whirlwind first date, Rebecaa Parks sees his face on a missing persons flyer. But the more she tries to piece things together, the less anything makes sense.
The Face I Thought I Knew is a haunting psychological horror where nothing and no one is quite what they seem.

Wish he would have been caught

Weird finding out what happened in flashbacks. Sad it ended the way it did would of been better if he was the one that got ended and she lived.

4.5 stars. Quick and easy read. Wish it had a longer ending.

A woman gets ready for a first date at the age of 47. She has no kids. Bed married. Has a cat. The date goes well. He gets Wine. Pulls out her chair for her. Eats each one of his food items at a time. She even texts her friend saying that the date was going well. She sees a faded flyer walking into the convenience store to get gas that says missing person. She doesn’t recognize the face, but she thinks she’s seen the shirt before.

They enjoy wine and decide to go walking down the street to go dancing. She believes the hostess is looking at her strangely.

She remembers the green polo from their date. Her credit card is missing when she goes to get gas.

When she went dancing with him, she felt like people were staring – not in a judgmental way, but like they were in awe or seeing something special.

She then sees the same man’s missing flyer in the newspaper and a collage of pictures. One of them he was wearing a Winthrop university sweatshirt.

When they went to a second bar, she stated she went to Columbia for law, and he went to Winthrop. He tells her on their date that he had a brother, but the brother passed a long time ago. She admits she was an only child. They kiss.

She gets home with the newspaper and notices a pretty large amount of mail. The cat is super hungry. The fridge is empty. She goes to the deli to get a sandwich and listens to the news where they say they’re discussing the disappearance of Grayson Sanders.

On the date, he keeps kissing her and asks her to get out of there.

She went on a date with Greyson Sanders last night.

Grayson was making a move on her that it didn’t seem like she was too interested in. She tried to scream, but she couldn’t. She questions if she could be a suspect in his disappearance.

When she goes to the police station to say that she saw the missing guy last night, she sees breaking news that a body has been discovered at Duncan Park. They believe it is Rebecca Parks. She is Rebecca Parks. She looks up at the mirror. She does not see her own reflection. The breaking news states that Grayson is missing and considered dangerous.

Her autopsy report showed roofies in her system. Cause of death was strangulation within two hours of the last sighting. Suspect was seen crossing state lines and consider armed and dangerous.
