If you’ve ever whispered, “I just want to feel like myself again,” this book is your answer.
It was difficult getting through a book that relies too heavily on ChatGPT for content and delivery. I was looking forward to this read, but it fell too short
While this book is simple and covers what feels like pretty basic information, I genuinely loved reading it and really connected with the message. As someone who constantly feels the need to control everything, takes on too much, and struggles with anxiety 🤣 it made simple changes feel attainable. One of the biggest takeaways for me was realizing that I can choose to slow down, let go a little, and just chill. I KNOW IT SEEMS SIMPLE BUT ITS NOT. So this book gave me exactly what I needed to hear
Read this short, but inspiring book twice for introspection and reflection. Softness is a radical act in a culturr that equates speed with success, slowness is where clarity begins. Peace is not passive, but a powerful active choice.
This should be required reading for all high school students before they are pulled into American adult productivity culture coerced by capitalism and bullying.
If everyone resisted by slowing down in this country there would be far more happiness and far less violence and inequality and more authentic community.
Thank you for this valuable guide for living the gentle life.
This book is amazing! A permission slip in book form to allow yourself to live in a way that honors yourself. The world we live in is all about taking from us. This book is all about giving back to ourselves without guilt. I recommend anyone who is overworked, stressed, or has a hard time saying 'no'....read this book! It's one of those special life changing books I will return to again & again!
"This is your permission to soften. To slow down. To come home to yourself."
There isn't necessarily any scientific backing or even spiritual backing behind this, but it's still so filled with truth that I can't imagine anyone would argue. The Soft Life Handbook simply reminds us how to life with an unhurried compassion for ourselves and holding onto the things that give us peace.
I love that this short book talks about softness without telling us to neglect all responsibility. To put boundaries into place with grace and kindness. And it encourages us to listen to our own needs and bodies without telling us to forget everyone else. The author of this book seems to have a good head on their shoulders.
This is a beautiful book of reminders that we could probably all benefit from having on hand!
this book gave me a long waited valuable insight and provoking awareness by encouraging me to sustain inner peace and self territory while living in this attention seeking chaotic world. thanks for letting me enjoy reading and sharing excellent book
This book came to me at the perfect time, as I transition into retirement, a time to slow down, to soften and relax into a new pace. It’s a beautifully written book, that feels nourishing and calm.
This is a quick read but a useful reminder that life can be less crazy if we nurture softness in our lives. It reframes things like planning, giving and goals.
