My Grumpy Firefighter Daddy

From flirty texts to falling hard… now he doesn’t remember my name.

It started with a wrong number.
I should’ve deleted it. Instead, I replied.

Jack Reid was all fire and fury. He was bold, gruff, and unexpectedly funny.
I was hooked before I even knew his name.

This mistaken identity continued for a while, but we got serious once he figured me out.
First coffee. Then Dinner at my place and kisses that made me forget how to breathe.
And Lily—his smart, sassy daughter with glitter on her shoes and a heart big enough to break me.

I fell hard for both of them. Trips to the park, special time with Lilly, and late nights with Jack!

As the Charge Nurse in the ER, I received a call stating that an incoming firefighter was in critical condition. I knew it was Jack before I saw him.

Now he’s broken. Bruised. And doesn’t remember I exist.

And now I will fight for a man who’s forgotten he ever loved me.

First Sight attraction but will it last?
Hilarious and Charming ! Right from the start when Karla answers a wrong number on her phone and gets chewed out about dumping his friend! She doesn't tell him that he's SO wrong and just runs with it ! It's hysterically funny and so is her best friends, Becky and Cindy, who egg her on !! Becky is the funny chaos of the two and Cindy is more the clipboard hugging, logical friend who is still in on the fun ! And his daughter, sweet, take charge, funny, charming, 6 year old Glitter obsessed Lily almost steals the show. There are plenty of emotions in the story especially when Jack screws it all up when laughing with his fellow firefighter Cruz. That man is going to have to grovel if he's really serious about Karla. Things also hit the fan when it comes to his job. Is he is going to lose his job? Will his fellow/friends and firefighters stand by him or will they prove to be fair weather friends? Who are his real friends and family? His sister Becca is always there for him but it's mainly his job to weather it all and he's tired. But he's used to not being enough. Karla doesn't see him that way and neither does Lily, she adores him !!!
It has a heart warming Epilogue done in style. I got this as an ARC and loved it ! I'm keeping it to re-read and laugh again !

This story follows Jack, a firefighter and Karla, an ER nurse’s chance meeting. What follows is full of tension, passion, drama, and romance. I got a little lost in the story in the first part of the book but the ending makes it worth it.
The author writes such beautiful descriptions throughout. “Smoke rolls low across the ground as we secure the perimeter, curling around our boots like it's alive and knows the danger hasn't fully passed.”
The characters are lovely, who does not want two badass best friends to have your back. This cute feel-good romance was an enjoyable read. This was an ARC review.

Jack and Karla came into contact with one another due to jack getting the number wrong for a friend that thought he had his heart broken, now there is an undeniable connection between them and they can’t stop their thoughts to going back to that conversation they shared.

The second time they meet each other face to face and the connection between them is palpable but I don’t think jacks worried about that more about Lily getting the help she needs. However after their third bump in, jack takes the step and asks Kayla out for coffee and neither thought they would show up but glad they did, now they are seeing each other but then jack puts him foot in his mouth when he out at a coffee shop with one of his coworkers and says something they he truly didn’t mean but Karla is there but jack didn’t know until later when he shows up with an injured member of his team and her while Demeter towards him is cold and calculated and that’s when he realizes she had heard what was said. Now he’s got to win her back but she’s not ready to trust him yet, he needs to show her that his words he said are true. Things are going well then there’s a fire and the injured firefighter is no other than jack after Karla witness's the whole event she goes into nurse mode to safe his life BUT then there’s this mysterious women who shows up claiming to be his fiancée and that throws Karla for a loop. He never mentioned this women and this women is doing everything she can to keep Karla away. When jack finally comes to and doesn’t recognize the women who is his fiancée Becca steps in and show her that this is the ex-fiancée and now that Karla is there he remembers her and the road to recover starts and she is not going anywhere.

Now if we could just get the happy ever after, but the plot thickens which I did not see this coming at all. Jack is now under investigation for the act of heroism he took to rescue that little boy even though he was injured. But there are falsified records and who is behind it the freaking chief if his station, this is his chance to get back at jack for making him miss a promotion and the chief thinks he’s getting away with it. But he’s never met Becky and Cindy, they are in it to get to the bottom and will find the truth, for now jack is safe and can finally resume his happy ever after with his soon to be wife Karla who fits perfectly in his life and they are each others homes.

Oh, my, my…Nelly Adler has a knack for choosing really hot guys for her book covers, and this one did not disappoint. This hot firefighter can fight fires around me anytime. Karla is an ER nurse. Jack is a firefighter. A grumpy, broody, gorgeous firefighter. They become friends until he gets injured, and he can’t remember her. This is their story.

This was a great book, and I appreciated the emotional depth of the bond between Karla and Jack. I also enjoyed the relationship between Jack and his daughter Lily. It was awesome that Karla had a genuine interest and cared about Lily, because she was a little cutie

“My Grumpy Firefighter Daddy” by Nelly Adler

-Jack, a broody firefighter, meets Karla, an ER nurse, and sparks fly amid hospital chaos. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.

Gossip, rumors, and past scars test their bond, but friendship and fierce loyalty shine through. The pacing wavers early on, but the heartfelt ending delivers emotional payoff. A wonderfully sweet epilogue.

A feel-good romance with quiet heroism, passion, and genuine warmth.

The story reminds me of the song,”Find out who your friends are”.

My Grumpy Firefighter Daddy by Nelly Adler was an amazing love story. Karla and Jack's story started as a wrong number but turned into a relationship. Karla is a nurse and Jack is a firefighter, then one day he ended up hurt and doesn't remember her. This is their story of finding what they once had and more. I loved this story. Nelly Adler has an amazing way of pulling you into her stories. This is one of those stories that you won't want to miss and will be glad you added to your Kindle.

The writing was chaotic, the plot full of inconsistencies and the author should have at least made sure about main characters last name.
