After an arduous journey through the desert, the Lost Team finally makes it back to their crashed ship — only to find it ransacked and stripped of everything of value. As they search through the wreckage for anything useful to salvage, Scorpius and his company of mercenaries attack — but both sides are taken by surprise when a mysterious stranger intervenes in the battle!
Agents provocateurs ED BRISSON and RAPHA LOBOSCO send a vital situation report with Lost #4 — cleverly encoded in covers by DECLAN SHALVEY, CLAYTON HENRY, MEGHAN HETRICK, MARK BAGLEY, and JAE LEE & JUNE CHUNG!
Credits include: COMEBACK, SHELTERED, THE FIELD (Image Comics), SECRET AVENGERS (Marvel), ROBOCOP, SONS OF ANARCHY, HELLRAISER (BOOM!) and X-FILES/TMNT: CONSPIRACY (IDW). Plus, you know, a bunch of stuff I can’t talk about yet.
The culmination of the first story arc, as the Lost find their countrymen's crashed spaceship and begin looking for the Book of Omens, before a final confrontation with the bounty hunter Scorpius. This is where some script discrepancies begin to appear, as some rather lethal shots are shrugged off and resolved though "rest." No explanation is given as to the weapons' effect, requiring that we simply accept everyone survived.
Still, pretty solid, with a not-unforeseen twist, but still an amazing final page.
