"Your disappointment and feeling like a failure are emotions that are temporary. Witness them and you will less them pass."

It is a very well-narrated philosophical book. The storyline involves the childhood of nine cousins and friends. They grew up in the same household. They learn various philosophical aspects from Saira, who is the eldest of them all. But there is more to it, the story discusses the important role played by the five elements (i.e., Earth, Water, Fire, Earth and Air) in our lives. The language is lucid. Well explanatory and interesting. Kudos to the authors Shivi Dua and Gaurav Dua.

You might like to wander through a few artistic journals — they’re full of sparks and surprises.

My Shape by Shivi and Gaurav Dua is a book that is a mixture of both fact and fiction. This book is mainly a philosophical one and is weaved into a story to help the reader understand how the five elements (Fire, Air, Water, Earth and Space) play an integral part of life, how it transcends anything we could ever imagine and not just as our reason for living.

I love how the authors managed to tell a story so as to make the concept of understanding the message they are trying to put across a lot more easy to understand, even if someone is just a beginner. I would even say that, if you pick a chapter at random, you may not understand the storyline but you will understand and learn something. For example: Wisdom around a waterfall talks about how every drop of water in a river does not know with every turn and fall that it's eventual journey will end with its destination being the cast oceans. In the same way every mistake we think we make isn't something to feel defeated over because it only acts as an experience to be better.

Overall, it might seem like a heavy book, but once you immerse yourself into the world of the nine characters, you'll understand the world and the teachings it has to offer a lot better.

Book Name: My Shape
Author: Shivi Dua

Genre: Fiction

"Everyone around is our mirror and reflects our own being."

"My Shape" by Shivi Dua is the story of Aditya who came back to his home after 25 years. The story progresses in a flashback along with the cousins of Aditya. The book mainly focuses on the understanding of five elements Fire, Air, Water, Earth and Space and their role in a human's life. The book discusses the evolution of mankind and the contribution of five elements to the evolution of mankind. The novel has beautifully portrayed the childhood of Aditya and his nine cousins. Kudos to the author for writing such a great novel which on one hand, it lets you understand the psychology of a child that how their mind evolves, and, on the other hand, it will let you introspect your ideas, your thoughts.

Talking about the language and narration style of the book, the language is lucid but slow-paced. The story is philosophical, so you have to go slow while reading and give time to let the information sink in. I would recommend this book to those who think that whatever wrong happens is all their fault or who thinks that they can control the outcome according to their desire. I liked this book as it helped me understand myself in a much better way.

"When we are doing something, but are also doubting it, refusing to accept it or questioning ourselves whether we should be doing it, we are out of sync with our action."

Do read and don't forget to share your views in the comment section.

✓The story revolves around Nine kids who grow up in the same household and learn various philosophical aspects from Saira. The book gives us a clear insight about the 5 elements namely, water, air, fire, earth and space. I've always been keen to learn something new about cosmos, mythology and philosophy. This was a treat for me. The characters compliment the story perfectly. The story is not slow and the way of narration is worth appreciation. The language is lucid and the vocabulary is easy to understand. Overall a wonderful read. Highly recommended.

Dwelling between the timelines of Aditya's childhood and his present, My Shape by Shivi Dua and Gaurav Dua has to be one of the most conceptual book about the intricacies of life I've ever had the pleasure of reading.

My Shape begins with Aditya's homecoming after 25 long years, to the place where he owes everything to. As Aditya flutters back home, he recalls vividly his memories of the past, the lessons that were instilled in him and his cousins by their certain mysterious and enigmatic friend Saira.

As Saira, bequeathes upon them the teachings and the meaning of the five essential elements : Fire(Kojin), Air(Byar), Water(Ezili), Earth (Achal) and Space (Sookshma), Aditya along with his cousins imbibe the necessary values which enable them to shape their lives.

Bordering upon both fact and fiction, My Shape is a beautiful book inside and out with an easily accessible language and can be picked up by adults and children alike.

*Recieved as a review copy*

The book is based on the five elements i.e. air, water, earth, space and fire. The author has used the story of 9 cousins and friends to portray these five elements. There are 37 chapters in total .
I just finished 'My shape' within two days. This was such an easy and quick read although the pace of the story is a bit slow. But the story flows really smoothly. The narration is the soul of this book . The story also keeps the reader busy . It is short and nice. As I've mentioned already, the book is divided in chapters, so it's really easy to read. It was a good experience and very unique way of understanding the five elements. Had a good experience reading the book.

Deep insights with a clear life explanations!

Wow! I can't express myself exactly how this book cherished and enlightened me. I did not came across such a book of clear explanations that is connected to the space with the five natural elements which held us in every move of our life which in turn explained practically and makes the readers understand fully to enrich their life better.

Amazing work throughout the book with a perfect sense of words, emotions, internal feelings, relationships, family, soulful thought, motivating, understanding, spirituality and everything that needs for a human being to live in this world wholly.

Colorful pictures, diagrammatic representations, flowcharts and illustrations are fantastic which in turn gives more clarity along with the powerful words that has been penned.

The introduction in the beginning shares us a basic knowledge of the five elements, Part 1 explains the relationships of the individuals and the situations, Part 2 takes us to deep insights of these elements to understand well.

It's a wonderful initiative and a plan of work taken to the readers to produce a better understanding of the concepts through a fiction that rewards us. Great idea!

The cover of the book added a super cool effect that attracts us easily to have a read and I can say definitely it satisfies our pick.

"My shape" is a perfect selection of title which helps us to shape our mind and soul.

A special appreciation to the authors Shivi Dua and Gaurav Dua. I extend my gratitude and respect to both of you for presenting us a beautiful book.

Its a treasure for me!

I wish all the human beings who exist in this universe have to read this book to live a completely soulful life.

Highly recommended to read and leave a meaning to your precious life.

Have a purposeful read!

Book:- My Shape
Author:- Shivi Dua & Gaurav Dua
Format:- Kindle
Rating:- 4/5

The book is divided into 37 chapters. Author describes how and why the human body is made up of 5 elements i.e. Fire, Air, Water, Earth and Space.
The authors explains that how Space is vaccum but it's everything a human is made up of.
The most admirable fact about the book is it's captivity. Words and sentences are so simple that any beginner (reader) can easily understand the things.
Readers will find the answers to the following questions by the end of the book.
• How can just 5 basic components create innumerable forms; that too all unique?
• Is giving human his/her physical form the only purpose of these 5 elements?

I suggest book lovers to read the book if they wish to know more about Spirituality. The authors have done a marvelous job by showcasing spirituality as the deepest inner feelings within a human soul.
Practical healing is presented in the form of fiction which is the most striking factor in the book.

Now coming to the storyline. The story revolves around Nine cousins and friends living together. The eldest of the siblings Saira has a vast and deep knowledge about philosophy. She teaches various life strategies to her siblings that could just overcome life's most difficult challenges.

I would suggest all of you to read the book as it reflects some of the harsh realities of life. You will be able to understand yourself and your motive as a human being via this book.
The story ends with a beautiful message:-
Ultimate success of human being lies in being able to accept the present moment. Wealth, Fame, Power, Knowledge are all temporary.

Thank You.
Happy Reading!

Let's start with something simpler, a question maybe? Fire, Air, Earth, Water and Space are simply just elements or are they something much more? Well, they certainly have aided in the evolution of mankind but are they capable of helping us understand ourselves and our lives better and play a an important role in our lives or are they just simply physical elements? If we look at it from an overall perspective this is what this book 'My Shape' is trying to address but is it just that what this book does?

#japreviewslit

'My Shape' is a book that has many, many characters which can be slightly confusing initially as the book keeps moving forth and backward in time but once you understand the family tree and the characters it gets simpler. It's a story of 9 friends and cousins who are growing up in the initial parts of the book and are learning about life from the eldest, enigmatic and intellectual Saira. The cousins grow up and the book also explores their messy, entangled adult lives.

"Our dreams should not take us away from living the present fully. Anything that takes our focus away from what we are experiencing in the moment is bound to bring pain."
The book tries to help you establish a deeper, more natural connection with your soul and the universe. It is not completely fiction and not totally fact, but uses a mix of both to help us understand the world beyond the one we inhabit.

Even though the book is well written, it felt like at multiple times it was just giving us life lessons than moving forward and although there was a very evident attempt at merging the storyline with life lessons it doesn't completely blend in and there's something that feels incomplete which makes sense considering the fact that it's a debut novel and a good attempt.

How can I find and put together the suitable words and write a review about one of the most informative book. One of those books that provoke such intense feelings that either you worship them or you utterly hate them. There is no middle ground, this is one of such books.

I have to say this, when I started reading this book a fair amount of things look Alien to me. I couldn't understand anything. So, I kept it and took sometime then again I gave it a read. After that I can connect everything.

In this book, the authors clearly explain about various facet of human disposition that is visible to our insight. From this book I learned that our human body is made up of molecules and which are directly connected to the nature of universe.

This book talks a lot about fire, air, water, earth and space. The authors clearly gave an explanation about the link between human body and the five elements. Saira, our protagonist, her understanding about spritual and psychological thing is far better than an adult. She usually make her nine younger cousin's learn about this. She knows the connection between nature and the evolution of mankind.

This book has two fold, one is the story part and the next is the part which gives us the circumstantial grasp about PANCHA MAHABHUTAS and it's correlation with mankind. I am going to stop spoil here.

My favourite book? I don't know. There are so many. But I don't think any other could claim to be more loved than this one. There is a lot to learn from this book. I would totally recommend this to everyone especially students....

The book “My Shape” is a nice read that is a blend of fact and fiction. This book explains how the five elements namely Fire, Air, Water, Earth, and Space not only constitute the physical realm but are also our mirrors. From the day of our birth, for as long as we stay in this body, and lifetime after lifetime, we are made up of and surrounded by these five elements in their physical form. No matter what we are experiencing in our life at any given time, the five elements form the basis and main core of our experience.

Through the lens of Saira and her siblings, the main protagonist of our story explores their complicated adult lives as each one of them tries to find meaning in their life and overcome challenges. The ultimate success of a human being would be - being able to live in acceptance of the current moment and, hence, being at peace with things as they are in the moment. Emotions would become the route to evolution for human beings.

Also, it sheds light that one’s inherent passion to understand their true potential to the next level drives their movement towards various situations, places and experiences in the divine flow, one is essentially stable throughout, as they only reflect a new way Soham has chosen to experience himself in, through them.

The concepts explained in this book are enriching and rewarding. Also, the characters through this book have explained the profound role of the five elements in order to understand life's experiences. The author has narrated the story in a simple manner for an easier and better understanding of the topic.

This book amazed me in more ways more than one. I was pleasantly surprised by its content.

It talks about the elementals & their role in the world. Also about the purpose of life & helps us reach the inner truth that we hold.

9 cousins & friends who learn about the life & the elements from the elderly Saira & how they put them to use in daily life is what the book is all about.

I feel like every reader of this book will relate to it on a higher level just like I did.

The title is intriguing. The cover is gorgeous. The language is easy to follow & understand.

Book - My Shape
Author - Shivi Dua and Gaurav Dua

" My Shape " by author Shivi Dua and Gaurav Dua is a short fictional story regarding the five elements of the universe i.e. Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space.

Q) What exactly their role in the evolution of mankind ?
Q) Is there a way of looking at these elements that can help us uncomplicate our lives ?

The Five Element Theory are the basic elements of the materialistic world.
Knowledge of these five elements allows you to understand the laws of nature and attain greater health, power, wisdom and happiness. This arises out of deep intuition of how the universe operates.

The Story begins with understanding the role of these elements in our lives through the enchanting tale of nine cousins and friends. Brought up in the same household, the kids grew up learning valuable lessons about five elements and a unique philosophy of life from the eldest and intuitive, Saira.
The story explores their complicated adulthood as each of them tries to find their meaning in their lives, and overcoming challenges using Saira's valuable teachings.

The author crafted each and every chapter very beautifully. Language is easy and lucid with simple narrative style of writing. In the 11th chapter " Aditya meet Saira ", there is also a poem which will attract readers. The cover page of the book is really interesting. Overall it's a good read.

My Shape
Author : Shivi Dua , Gaurav Dua

This book is a story of nine cousins and friends and how they experienced childhood in one house taking in way of thinking from Saira.

5 components are Fire, Air, Water, Earth, and Space. Everything in the book is delightfully narrated.it profound plunges into the reason for human existence and carries us up close and personal with the unadulterated fact of the matter. The fact of the matter is in every case in that general area in Infront of our eyes.

it is clarified in a wonderful manner that everybody can comprehend and even recall it in view of the story.

Every one of the characters in the book are one of a kind and the characters are portrayed splendidly.

The narrating is so astonishing to peruse as the creator passed on everything in a simple manner.

It's reasonable, forthright, striking, bold and fair. Above all, it is point by point. This book is an excursion that should not be taken lightly.

I altogether appreciated perusing this book, as this book has clarified a large number of the hidden ideas in a basic way. This book ought to be perused by the individuals who need to find out about the five essential components of nature, and those keen on finding out about otherworldly and magical topics.

Thought Provoking Beautiful story -

" My shape" is written by two authors Shivi Dua and Gaurav Dua and to be honest it was more of a thought Provoking and stimulating experience . The story is simple yet meaningful ..The initial pages are interesting and as we jump from past to the present years the momentum of the plot is equally maintained .

It opens up in the year 1997 when Aditya is seen returning back home after 25 long years .As he slips down the memory lane of his childhood and his beautiful house the story reaches the year some where around 1968 . Everything has been elaborately described .It shows happy and perfect family including Damodar Prasad the head of them .And his children and grandchildren . Including another important character Saira , who was adopted .

The story shows Saira's intellectual conversations about The "body" between the cousins and friends .She considers the entire objects around as a body including the trees , flowers and so on ....and our body that we see in the mirror is classified as sences ..That help us feel ,see ,hear and touch the other body parts anytime. This book deals with the five physical elements ,that is air ,water ,fire, earth ,space ...This book gives us knowledge about the importance of these elements .

Every one should read this book ..It's divided into Two parts and has an attractive cover With well Narrated plot 👍

I always love to read books that have to offer some useful life lessons. How both authors mixed information/lessons/facts with fiction and made every event, chapter, character relatable and narrated it in an efficient & engaging way was commendable. In-between illustrations were amazing. Chapter titles and poems were very thoughtful. This book has a lot to offer for everyone. As I was reaching the end my expectations were going high and were craving for more and more images. It was very unique how the authors decided to explain the role/impact of the 5 elements of nature on our lives and the Evolution of Mankind. To know more pick up the book.

Sharing the poem from Aditya meets Saira chapter:

The soul shines bright, Through the Dark Night,
As through the sunlight! A mirror of the Divine,
A reflection of the source, A creation of the Creator,
The Soul! It being crushed – is an excuse Of a mind too weak,
To own up being the light. It being in pain – is a cry Of an ego too scared, To accept its transformation!
It being hurt- is a denial, An attempt to look away From change,
that brings growth! The soul stands tall, Witnessing in each moment All the magnificence that it is,
As a spark of the Divine Light, If only My tiny little ego Would allow it to!

Whenever you are consumed by your fears and act out of them, you lose your wisdom.
You lose any faith that you would have had in yourself and in the Universe.
This is when you stop receiving any positivity or support from anyone. When you are gripped with fear, you think of the worst and want to save yourself from it.
Acting out of fear is bound to bring negative consequences because the act lacks love..

"My shape" is definitely the brilliant piece of literature.
It is full of lessons & discussion.
The characters observe the surroundings and through their thoughts, readers are provided with an opportunity to learn new things.
The Authors are fluent and clear in the plot.
The beautiful illustrations attached in the middle of the story increases the interest in the book.
The relationship of humans with the elements & nature is explained in beautiful and the most simple manner.

Meanwhile, the plot is gripping and I admit this book gave me a sleepless night.
Reading this book gives explosure to various aspects that have stayed as a matter of mystery yet regulate mankind the most..
What makes this book special is the morals that it holds in the plot.
The illustrations narrate their own stories.
As a reader, one could take out different lessons according to their understanding and behaviour.
Overall a must read.

This is the most beautiful book I am reading this year. Beautifully prosing away the knowledge about nature, the significance of the five important elements in the natural world was never been so clearer and never made it realize so much meaning to me. Very attractively it articulated the subject which is very difficult to understand as simple as it looks now.

The theme that authors Shivi Dua and Gaurav Dua chose to tell us throughout the book enthralled me. Its' subtle approach about Life, Nature, the Universe, Love, and Relationship mesmerized me.

When Aditya came back home, after a long gap of 25yrs, I was expecting an enticing emotional story of recalling time. Then he met with his cousins and nostalgia wrapped them up. They reminisced about the summers, how Saira taught them valuable lessons of life and five elements of our natural world, earth, water, fire, air, and space. The philosophical way she described every difficult thing, that enchanting lucid narrative has a gravitational power that will work on everyone.

I really enjoyed learning about the five elements, kudos to this enchanting writing style. I liked those cute, colorful illustrations in this book, it makes this book more enjoyable.

Everyone should read this book to understand the five elements of nature.

QOTD: What is your first September read?
AOTD: It is "Lucid Dreams" for me, and I loved the book. It's so beautiful that I felt like it's was a real story than a fictional one!

"My Shape," written by Shivi Dua and Gaurav Dua, is a story based on the Panchabhutas: Fire, Water, Space, Earth, and Wind. Through this book, we will learn how these five elements are related to humans and how they connect to us spiritually rather than just as physical elements. Here we have nine cousins who gain spiritual knowledge from the eldest of the cousin named Saira.
.
Saira has a lot of spiritual and philosophical knowledge, which she uses to let her younger cousins know the importance of these five elements. We humans get busy at work and just immerse in our gadgets but never look at the world with a new perspective, and this book will help you with that. It will open a new window for you to think about nature and the world differently.
.
It's a long yet different book out of the lot. The langue is easy, and it keeps the reader engaging to read. It is with a new log line with lots of spiritual and philosophical elements in the book.

A lot of knowledge in this book

This truly very unique book has an interesting storyline which is very powerful as it teaches us what the five elements are in our life

The Five elements are
Fire
Air
Water
Earth
Space

This book is a very new learning for me as I did learn a new subject of the 5 elements and of course the story is just very inspirational.

The story of 2 families living together in their childhood and there are a total of 9 children which includes the domestic workers also. The childhood has been carefree and fun.

What happens when all of them leave their comfortable abode and move ahead or away in life.

The books focus is on learning or teaching us about how the & elements define our life and how or what can we do to help them in turn help ourselves.

Since this is a very new topic the reading time limit went a little longer than most books, but I am so glad that I took my time and understood the book, as I feel the knowledge imparted in this book is priceless.

The author has definitely tried to simplify it as much as possible as even an amateur on this topic will understand it and enjoy it.

I till date haven't read a book on this subject so I would definitely recommend everyone to read this life transformation book.

Title: My Shape
Author: Shivi Dua and Gaurav Dua

Review

“My Shape” by Shivi Dua and Gaurav Dua is a fictional tale which tries to relate and explain five elements theory (According to which, everything in nature is made up of five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space.) and its role in human lives through the enchanting tale of nine cousins and friends.

Divided into two parts, the first part narrates the story of nine cousins and friends. The story starts with Aditya who recalls his childhood with his cousins after coming back to his home after 25 years. Turning pages of past he recalls how they learnt valuables lessons of life through Saira who talked about the five elements and philosophy of life and how those lessons still hold power in their seemingly chaotic life.

In the second part, the author at length discusses about the five element theory and how this theory drives and plays crucial role to offer solutions to major problems of our lives.

Written in a simple and lucid language, the book is a perfect blend of fact and fiction. Through this book the author once again reminds us about the importance of ancient philosophies which germinated across different civilization and their relevancy in contemporary world and our lives.
