There can only be one Slayer. And others are starting to notice.
Arden shouldn’t be this strong. His Path Energy reads low, but his power keeps rising, and so does the danger. His defiance of tradition and unbreakable will are beginning to shake the very foundations of the Realm Verse System.
Now, with his companions, the rogue Thumper and the wizard Merlin, Arden plans the challenge the ruling noble Pathwalkers and break into the Grand Generational Passing.
But leveling up and gaining new epic powers means diving into deadly Realms like the Emerald Adventure Chasm or surviving the high-stakes games in the Crossroads Citadel World. And if Arden’s ambition draws the eye of the Dragon Supremacy’s most favored scion…
It won’t just be his life on the line. It’ll be his Path of the Slayer.

If you remember book 1 we ended on a cliff it took two chapters to resolve this cliffhanger and set us up on the next and the mountain gets higher and the cliffhangers larger… you need to read this
This is honestly the most well-written series the author has put out. It's clear he's learned from his earlier series (which I've also devoured for tasty snax), and this one? Slayer takes the Cake. Well-crafted meta-humor with a LOGICAL way to insert it into the storyline, a fantastic hero who faces and admits to psychological trauma while working to move past it, and above all it's fantabulous to see under-privileged communities represented as the main hero yet again. I'm Native American and it's legitimately refreshing to see someone who's from a nomadic, tribal culture and has darker toned skin.
Forking love this Florida Man, let's make him legendary!!
Ok but seriously Seraphina is definitely the one he should be trying to get back with and elevate. Even though she broke up with him it was required to save his life - and the fact that she wished he would quit when he was rank 0? So what? She still spent 6 years loyal and faithful to him and him alone, despite everyone else trying their best to get with her by hook or by crook. And even when he got power and turned his back on her, she REMAINED loyal to him.
Seriously, her strength of character is ridiculous. She deserves a happy ending even more than the mc does.
Somehow even edgier than the original! And I'm here for it!
Yep, you read that right! Somehow book 2 packs even more edgy, rough and tumble action into it than book 1! There's upgrades, new powers, a crazy new feeling of impending doom for Arden! New curses! All sorts of stuff, and Arden just keeps becoming more of a shonen anime protagonist if you ask Merlin and Thumper! And the Grand Generational Passing is just about 2 months away! Can the crew get to level 101 in time? My money is on yes, but it's gonna be a wild ride to get there.
I would want to give a 4.5 but I had to round up if anything. TBH, Arden’s attitude pisses me off. Why does he have to be such an A-hole all the time? It’s not cool. Chill the F out, bro.
There were some parts of the book that dragged on and just were, honestly, too boring to not skip past. The story remains strong and entertaining. I look forward to the conclusive 3rd book where some big reveals will finally occur.
I made it half way through the book and it just so... boring. Except for the brutality of the battles (which is totally fine by me, heh) it's almost like three friends doing a bit of dungeon slice of life.
The story is very good keeps you you interested hard to stop reading the characters blend together very well the story line is fantastic can't wait till the next book comes out
But overall the rest of the book makes up for it although I wish we saw crafting more often when the battles were a little bit more strategic and not just Mass chaos
