GENIT was created to stop monsters. Now the monsters are being used to stop them.
After the abduction of one of their own, the shattered remains of GENIT launch a desperate rescue mission to ISLAND X, a dumping ground for experimental creatures and black-budget nightmares. But this time they’re not just facing teeth and claws. They’re being hunted by enemies—old and new—and by a government that will kill to protect its secrets.
A team abandoned. A partner taken. An island that should have been shut down years ago. And a new apex predator that won’t let them leave.
One last mission. One final shot.
If you enjoy books like "Jurassic Park" and "Watchers" you won't want to miss the explosive finale of the GENIT series.
What a tale! Dozens of engineered animals out to grab whoever is too close. And - no place to run! This proves my #1 axiom - use the right tools for the job. The Genit team does just that!! They do not toy with any of the creatures! Plenty of encounters - not all rosy. Somehow Randolph and LaFleur have luck on their side and manage to get off the island. At the end of the book, I like what Randolph is getting into. As with all these thrillers, the genetically altered animal are based on facts. Mr. Tilton really opens the world to new things! I hope he continues with the ideas brought out at the end of the book! Read it and find out!!! I recommend, not only this book, but the whole series!!
This was a fast paced story. While not all the bad guys got their just ending there was some justice meted out. The one thing I liked was the good guys walked away from this adventure with just a few cuts and bruises. This felt like the one that was going to tie up all the loose ends, but it didn't. Some of the loose ends are still around so the MAP hunters still have work to do. Zach Randolph is still around and just as crazy if not more so. I am hoping this series will continue and Zach Randolph will meet with the death he deserves.
This book, as well as his others, each have built on the book before It.I think pot is important to read them in the sequence they were written because you get to know the characters more as you keep reading. I think the books will appeal to adolescents ANF adults. You begin to realize that just !maybe the science used to create the "monsters" just maybe, using an inquisitive mind, could really happen in the future? Scary thought but one your mind can't help thinking. Please read the first one, you'll be hooked! Happy Reading (or maybe Scary Reading)?
I love this series. It's entertaining, engaging, and the characters are loveable. You find yourself cheering on the heroes and gritting your teeth at the evil bad guys. I hope it can continue with more adventures. The drama, fear and terror the creatures produce is exceptional and it's easy to imagine being chased by these monsters. They kept getting bigger and better with each experiment into genetic manipulation.
This was great in a way to combine all the villains together so only a few survive. I was wondering how this was going to become a happy needing. Evil killed evil … that was satisfying. At least they went to the island prepared! Not sure where it is going to go from here as that frequency wave dna generative and mutation frequency sounded very umbrella corporation. Wonder if it will end or get really freaky!
As the story unfolded Mr Tilton reminded the reader of previous story lines of who most of the players were. That was perfect since some of them may have been forgotten and the reminder was very helpful. The story flowed nicely and surprises awaited. Throughly enjoyed this and the ending surprised even more.
This is another great story, but unfortunately, the last in the GENIT series. However, I'm sure this very creative author has more dark conspiracies up his sleeve, as at least one of the bad guys survives this roller coaster of artificially enhanced creatures who are out to kill everything that gets in their way! Keep on writing, Russ!
Russ Tilton does it right! I have read all the books in this series and I loved them all , if you like a creature feature you will love these books. This book has all the mutants plus something new so do yourself a favor and start at the first one and enjoy the adventures.
From the very start to the end, it had twists and shockers. Jake and April once again find themselves in danger. You should read every one of these novels. I hope that there will be more adventures for Jake, April and the Genit team.
A wedding is the perfect way to end this series of books. Wait - did I say end? Nope, not the end. On to more monstrous creatures than ever! Tilton, you better be writing hard, because I expect more outta you!
Great story that tied all of the loose ends up with a bloody and violent bow. But the ending makes one hope there is a whole new twist coming. Will there be more Jessup and Flowers / Genit stories? Hope so!
Much better than the previous book. Tons of action and betrayals. While it does tie up the main story, it still leaves plenty open for potential sequels or spin offs. I'll be interested to see if the author does more with it or not
