Life is full of ups and downs; things do not always go as planned, and to acknowledge this truth is our greatest strength. But most of us tend to exaggerate our problems instead of accepting them and then moving forward. When will we realize that It's okay to not be okay? It's okay if people misunderstand you; it's okay to make mistakes; it's okay if your plans fail; it's okay to lose some friends. And having acknowledged this, we must take steps to learn from the experience and grow from it.

In this book, Jaya Kishori Ji, renowned spiritual orator and motivational speaker, offers thoughts and advice to help readers understand what they are going through and navigate their journeys to make their lives more meaningful. She shows the way forward, so that people can gain some solace and are able to handle situations better. The book comprises of 47 chapters and each chapter (barring the last one) is no more than 2-3 pages long. The narrative is simple and profound at the same time. Each story and advice will leave you introspecting.

With gentle humour and wisdom, and by including her own life experiences and some life-changing stories, she conveys that ‘It's okay to have problems and issues in life. Everyone does.’

P.S. I was browsing through Facebook when I serendipitously found an advertisement that the renowned spiritual & motivational speaker — Jaya Kishori Ji had written a book and it was scheduled for launch on 28-Jul-25. I immediately opened my Amazon app and searched for the book and pre-ordered it. When the book reached me a few days prior to the launch date, my joy knew no bounds. A few chapters into the book, I realized that I should share this beautiful book with a dear friend - I looked up for a Hindi translation on Amazon and was so glad to find it. I sent the Hindi version to my friend as his birthday present.

One of the things that struck me the most was how practical and relatable the advice is. The book doesn’t just tell you what you should do; it helps you understand why you feel the way you do and provides realistic solutions to work through those emotions. In particular, I’ve learned so much about managing my anger. There are moments when I feel overwhelmed or upset, and the teachings from this book have shown me ways to step back, breathe, and regain control of my emotions before they spiral.

Jaya Kishori’s debut, It’s Okay . . . is a gentle, thoughtful guide for anyone navigating stress, self-doubt, or emotional struggles. With a mix of spiritual wisdom, personal anecdotes, and practical reflections, the book reassures readers that setbacks and imperfections are part of life’s journey. Written in simple, compassionate language, it feels like a conversation with a friend who reminds you to pause, breathe, and accept what you cannot control. While the tone is spiritual, it remains relatable and accessible, especially for young readers seeking clarity and peace in today’s fast-paced world
