During his brief stint as a prisoner of the Order, Draco Malfoy notices that Hermione doesn't look to be doing too well. He had always assumed that, given her brilliant mind and gentle nature, those on her side would ensure she is taken care of. Evidently not. Must he really do everything himself?
-
OR: Dark Draco decides he'd rather like to keep the pretty Healer for himself, since it seems no one else can take proper care of her.
I think what turned me off was that I wish there was more of like a reason why he wanted her so bad. Like maybe if the book had more time of him being the prisoner instead of her, so then I could like see the relationship develop from like a normal standpoint. But like I don’t knowsomething just isn’t right but like it’s not wrong enough for me to like DNF or just to stop enjoying it. I usually avoid books that like keep secrets, and then like unload them all at the end or not at all, but I literally went into this blind. I had no idea what I was going into except for like the summary that’s on good reads, but honestly, like the vibes are here and it fit to have all the secrets revealed at the end and not like sprinkled throughout the story. If that makes sense, I don’t really know how to explain it, but I’m not mad. I also usually avoid time travel, but I had no idea it was in this, but honestly, I’m not mad either because it made sense to the plot and like I could see it as like the author like opting out of finishing the story in the reality it began, but I didn’t like the reality it began in anyway, so I’m not mad. I know I keep saying that, but I don’t know what else to say, basically I felt that there was no hope for the original reality, so I’m glad it’s not the one that was permanent.
Towards the end, I wasn’t like rushing for it to end, which tells me I was having a fun time so that’s why it’s four stars even though like I’m not used to reading things like this, or even from this universe, I’ve never even read Harry Potter, but I’ve seen the movies like 10,000 times.
Edit – giving this five stars because I literally can’t stop thinking about it. It like popped up into my head at random times during the day and then I just get sad because the parts that went into my head are just sad parts. But it was so good I would totally reread it. Honestly, I totally would. Btw it’s the 21st rn. So it’s been like 4 days and I still think about it lmao.
Another one down-lilyisthatyou 🎵

was not a fan of the first part of this book. I don’t love fics where H is seen as weak and dumb, and that’s exactly how she was in this one, at least for the first 60-70%!
I did love the twist at the end and how the last 20-30% of the book played out! that kind of saved this fic for me tbh (but still doesn’t erase erase not liking the majority of how this one started lol)
I initially felt like the twist was kind of a cop out and kinda just lazy writing, but I actually think it saved the whole fic!
“Why am I weird?” he asked, reaching forward to tug at the long, billowy fabric of her dress. “What? Just because I kidnapped you?” She laughed and he smiled wider. “How could I have left you there?” he asked softly. His voice was suddenly less light than before. “Hm?” His serious eyebrows lifted after a moment, in amusement at the stunned look on her face. “Because, you know, I think that would have been the weird thing to do…” he said, trailing off with a teasing lilt.
the first time i read this i dnf cause i wasn't wild about the dom/sub stockholm syndrome dynamic and how OOC hermione was, but then i read this authors entire backlog and im OBSESSED w her stories, shes my fav fanfic author by far. i swear i havent felt this thrill for someones writing since danielle lori, so i had to give her most beloved fanfic another shot.
i still am not sold on the hardcore dom/sub dynamic. i just dont buy it for hermione that she'd ever be so undecisive and unambitious. i also don't find the 'let me handle EVERYTHING' part of bdsm titilating. like some things sure but the collar, choosing clothes, food, etc its just too much for me i would find it so belittling and paternalistic but i know that level of kink is soothing for some people so im not judging.
however i just loveeeee this authors characters and writing so bad. no one writes SIMP DRACO like she does i swear. i smile ear to ear reading all her fics hes just so doting and they are so cute 😭😭
- compulsively readable - the spice is well-written - I’d say this caters less to people with a praise kink and more to those with an infantilization kink? - this has no business being a Dramione fan fiction. It could be its own book with its own characters, because neither Hermione nor Draco have anything in common with their canon selves. I think canon Hermione would actually bash her head in a wall if she read this. - the story contains the biggest deus ex machina I've ever read
kinda hard to rate this fic cause the first half would’ve been like a 3-4⭐️ to me, but the last half really redeemed it, did not see that twist coming but it was so good! Liked this psycho simp Draco (lol) but thought the Hermione was too unlike her og character
Whatever brand of man this is, I’m here for it. I think every Draco should be this obsessed with Hermione. Exactly what I wanted and more. That twists were unexpected but truly elevated the story. The last third was actually insane. A+ plotting.
Whatever is wrong with Draco in this one, I want a man like that. “And who takes care of you Hermione? I’m starting to think it should be me” Gran fan de las historias donde solo Draco se da cuenta de lo horrible que trata el lado “Bueno” a Hermione y la PROTEGE Y LA CIUDA Now I know kidnapping is frowned upon pero a mis ojos se redime en la forma en la que se pone a sus pies y el se vuelve su completo esclavo del nivel de devoción. Psycho simp and I’m here for it. “You might have noticed already. But I’m a little unusual, I like control. Handling things” GIVE ME!!!! FAN!
3.5 i really enjoyed this fic, it was different than any i've read before however, there were some points that i wish would've been mentioned like Nott's motives for turning Hermione in, how the Order did without Hermione and if they ever attempted to get her back or simply resented her, what actually was going on with the war (since Voldemort was dead and the commander was Narcissa). i mean, i knew they were trying to find Neville's wand but other than that, why was everything so caotic and dangerous. also, i wish we had gotten more insight on Draco's views of Hermione through their Hogwarts years. i actually thought Draco would go back in time until they first met but that would be a waste of time and kind of weird to get in the body of his 11 year old self. other than that, i just wished to know how much Hermione was able to 'recall' and if Draco ever ended up telling her that he actually came from the future
I loved yearning Draco throughout this entire book, he was just so perfect like *chef’s kiss* perfect in terms of yearning, obsession, protecting her, etc.
I would’ve loved to know where his obsession with Hermione started and it would’ve been better if this was revealed in the flashbacks he ‘saw’ in the Time Turner Cabinet..
Also would’ve loved him being a prisoner longer than Hermione and idk more chapters in the new timeline he created/managed to fix.. I would’ve loved to see how he’d pursue her with past knowledge but fresh circumstances..
Hermione’s character also lacked a certain level of depth which I can’t explain..
Regardless of all of that, the narrative is so unique and is genuinely stuck in my head. Beautifully written albeit my opinion of how the story could have gone and the author definitely improved their writing style over the course of the book.
Cheers to the author for keeping me hooked, never stop writing <3

I enjoyed this one and read it in 3 days but I have to say a simp Hermione is not my favorite. I’m all for a possessive Draco and he definitely delivered but Hermione came off as weak at times when I think her character could have been much stronger. Also the nicknames were plentiful which I don’t always love but I understand it’s a personal preference. The plot was unique but felt rushed in a few places, especially around some main character deaths. I loved the alternate version of their story at the end. I kind of wished there was even more to it. Their banter was fun and exciting.
I am not sure how I came across this but I’m glad I did. This was my all time favorite version of Draco by farrrrr. The way he coddled and did everything for Hermione without even asking had me folding so hard. And the praise ☺️☺️ had butterflies in my stomach holy shit. wasn’t a huge fan of the time jump but I was satisfied with the happy ending
Listen, I can’t say I didn’t sign up for this because I did since I read the tags and I also wanted to try something new. Safe to say, I will not be broadening my palate. I think you cannot avoid characters being at least a little bit OOC when it comes to fanfiction, however in this case they felt like entirely new characters to me. Which is fine, however I didn’t like this Hermione. I’m sorry but I like my characters with at least a bit of personality besides anxiety. Draco’s character was overall tolerable, however I think the course of his feelings changing from possessiveness and obsession to love (and including the other two) wasn’t very well executed for me. He pretty much acted the same from start to finish. That being said, this was mostly enjoyable. The intimate scenes were written well, and I especially enjoyed the last third of the book after the twist. It was also strangely satisfying and intriguing to read about a version of the world where things did not work out for the better.
These Dramione fics are genuine full-form fiction and essentially cohesive novels, not to mention time-consuming, so I have made the executive decision to contribute them toward my reading count and reject the notion that it’s cheating, amen.
I can’t remember when I started this fic but I had been following it as a WIP and know with certainty I finished it as soon as the final chapter aired so. . .
I for the most part rather, guiltily, enjoyed this fic and was anxiously anticipating every chapter but it wasn’t as impactful as Green Light (holy shit this would literally be my favourite book; Dramione fanfics are being published now so please PLEASE Green Light next PLEASE I NEED it) or Isolation or Manacled for me.
This fic certainly would’ve benefitted from having an outline or structure. The ending was quite rushed and lacked any set up—it felt as though the author perhaps wrote herself into a corner.
This could've been a 5 star read. It had sooo much potential, but I wanted more with the ending. I thought we would get to see more of Draco redeveloping the relationship with him and Hermione.
Anyway, I did really like it tho. I did not see the time travel part coming, but I did think there was no way everything was gonna go that wrong and something crazy not happen.
Once again, I hate Ron. Like omfg. I didn't expect Theo to betray them like that, tho. Theo's usually one of my faves. I do love a fic with a good Pansy tho... her and Neville (it's giving bsp).
Honestly, I loved Draco and Hermione's dynamic. When he kidnapped her just to take care of her...love! Even the way he was winning her back, I was obsessed with. It made me sad, though, to think that Draco had all those memories from the other timeline, but Hermione didn't. And he had to wait so long to be with her again...ughhhhh.

Set during the war where Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort have both died but the fight continues between a rapidly losing Order and the Death Eaters led by the Commander and right hand man Draco Malfoy who has ascended during the war as the new General.
Draco Malfoy is a prisoner of the Order and that is where he first establishes his relationship with Hermione Granger. He sees her gaunt, exhausted and abused by the Order for her healing skills. He promises to "take care" of her and when he escapes, he makes good on that promise and kidnaps Hermione.
What develops is a fascinating and unusual relationship between a powerful, dominant Draco Malfoy and a physically and emotionally exhausted Hermione Granger so consumed by the war.
I liked this one way too much and if you have a praise kink, this is definitely for you!
Not my fav Dramione - I don’t love fics where Hermione’s withered away to nothing even though she’s vital to the Order. I guess it depends how the author depicts how tired and overseen she is. I didn’t like Draco in this fic until he went back in time to fix the timeline. He actually seemed sane in the ending even though he had an unquenchable desire for control. I think I’m just not a fan of this type of possessive, toxic, and dominant Draco. And the ending was so sudden??? Lots of fics reference Hermione having Stockholm Syndrome but this is the only one where it actually felt like a legitimate claim. Anyyywwaaayyyys!!!

Ohhhhhh yes. The unstable but fully composed and tender Draco vibes are immaculate. Guys this is actually so peak I have to reread each scene multiple times. Okay now hes going the kidnapping route. . . This man is not right in the head, run girl run (or don't 🫣). Oh Draco is GONE GONE. Holy candle scene, he's scary y'all, I'd be freaking out if that was me. Is it bad that I love PTSD/worn out hermione, one of my favorite tropes. Is this the first fic ever where dolohov isn't horrible to hermione?? . . . . . . Uhm. Anywayyyy. I need more, I need Hermione to see his memories of everything and remember 😭

this had all my favourite tropes wrapped up in one story. writers like this make me feel so sad that i won’t ever have a draco. really well written love my dark draco x soft hermione. pansy and long bottom got me a bit choked up and they were such a small part of the story.
It's like if the author asked me what are your favorites things to read and then she came up with this like NO NOTES tens all across the board cannot believe how good life is
rr 3/7 amazing, showstopper, incredible, perfect, groundbreaking, never been done before, avant garde, revolutionary, unparalleled, phenomenal, divine. Any couple that has THIS much groveling, obsession, "good girl", "do as I say" and "behave" is a 5star read #TO ME. God bless
Wonderful dominant Draco (like a dragon) that loves with such force that he does everything in his power to oblige to her wishes. From a present where Hermione is at the end of her energy stocks and finally get someone to take care of her (even if it means kidnapping) to going back in time and try to make her fall in love with her.
This story WRECKEd ME. Are kidding me.. crow had me tearing up. This story was 10/10. I love love loved it I could not put it down. Reading it everywhere I could.absolute banger magic. Love love loved this Draco. I also loved how This book gave half dark - war vibes think auction, and second half is happy think Draco malfoy and the mortifying ordeal of being in love - great combo
i feel legitimately depressed to be finished with this fic 😩 one of my all time favorite draco’s. the way he dotes on hermione is everythinggggg. i’m so sad she didn’t fully remember their time from before but i’m so glad that he gets to give her everything she wanted <3

Another WOW…I was on pins and needles through half the book it seemed like. It was a unique story with an interesting twist and lovely bookend storytelling. Totally captivated from start to finish. Just brilliant.
This is interesting to try to rate. The storyline is dark, and the first 2/3 of the book is a little disturbing. I just couldn't imagine rooting for the couple. And yet, the last bit of the story was so good and turned the relationship into one I hoped succeeded. Wild ride, for sure. 3.5✨
If this finished with only the first part I would not have liked it as much! However since we got the second part after his time skip I enjoyed it a lot more. Draco and his obsession, it really shows but also kind’ve endearing.
