After spending eighteen years running a highly successful logistics company, Arthur Lih happily retired. It wasn't long before he would be called out of retirement to save thousands of lives across the globe.

In 2012, Arthur heard the detailed story of a seven-year-old child who lost his life after choking on a grape. Being a father himself, Arthur was determined to find a solution that would be able to save his child in the event of an emergency and end unnecessary choking tragedies. He used his inquisitive mind and his sharp business and building skills to bring LifeVac to market. Arthur has since forged LifeVac into an international medical device company that has received widespread media attention and saved thousands of people worldwide, ranging in age from several weeks old to one hundred years old.

One might say that Arthur's lifework has already gone above and beyond in changing the world for the better—but it isn't even close to being finished.

In his debut book, Sorry, "Can't" Is a Lie, Arthur shares the uplifting wisdom and invaluable lessons that have guided him through the highs and lows of his inspirational life and career. Told in his down-to-earth, approachable voice and supplemented by classic movie quotes and pop culture references, Arthur's book is a quick and powerful read that is sure to be a fantastic addition to readers' mental tool kits. With opportunities for personal reflection, growth, and even some laughter along the way, Sorry, "Can't" Is a Lie may prove itself to be another lifesaving device on its own.

When I first got this book, it was so small I thought it was a sale ad. But, no, it is a book that Goodreads sent me. It's actually pretty cute and sort of inspirational, in a grandfatherly kind of way. Arthur Lih's family will cherish this for generations to come. It made me smile.
Thanks to Goodreads.

I was excited when I saw this was by the inventor of LifeVac, something that had been on my Christmas list, but...I can't lie, this book just wasn't for me. It's not long, so if you want to give the book a go, you don't have to take my word for it; it will take you less than an evening to read. But I do think my opinion is a fairly reliable one.
