What do you get when you mix the pressure of a music competition with a reality show the likes in which the world has never seen?

The chance of a lifetime, or the fall of everything you’ve known.

When Coveting Mercy is chosen out of thousands of rock bands across the country, they have to make a continue fighting for stage time in Houston or chase the dream that’s always been just out of reach?

As long as they’re in this together, nothing can stop them from rising to the top. Right?

For Talia Wesley, being in a band with her husband, Rocco, and her brother, Tannis, has always been her shelter. She’s used to playing it safe, staying quiet, and letting the guys take the lead.

But the spotlight has a way of exposing even the deepest secrets. And in this house, there’s nowhere to hide, and drama means ratings.

As the cameras roll, Talia and Rocco are forced to confront the cracks they’ve ignored for years, and the love they once thought was unbreakable starts to fracture under the weight of things left unsaid.

Because history means nothing if you lose yourself in the flashing lights of an industry that feeds off the pain of its stars.

Maegan Abel was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she still lives today. She has been an avid reader from a very young age and the top goal on her list of things to accomplish was to write and publish a book. During the summer of 2013, while working backstage on The Lion King, she read eleven books in four weeks. After reading her first New Adult book and being introduced to the genre, she felt she could totally relate to it. The idea for Perfectly Broken and the character of Lili was born backstage during that time.

I DEVOURED this book! It was everything I wanted in a rockstar themed romance! If you ever wanted to be in a band/are in a band or dreamed of dating/marrying a rockstar, this book is for you! It's a wild competition between bands on a reality TV show with lots of drama! The scenes between Rocco and Talia were my favorite. Their deep connection and history together made for a heart-wrenching read and I loved every sentence of it! My heart was pounding during the last couple chapters! Bravo! I want MORE!!!

This was so great! A mix of reality tv mixed with a book. Rocco and Talia are already an established married couple. Them and Tannis, Talia's brother enter this reality tv show/ competition to finally make their big break they have been working towards. What could go wrong? Well with all great tv we got secrets and mystery and plenty of drama to keep every one fed. This one will pull you in and not let you go till the last page. I can't wait for the next book because I think Tannis will turn everything upside down.

Ummm. Please tell me there will be a second book!
This book was amazing. I loved the character build and how the band grew.
Coveting Mercy is the name of the band. Talia is the drummer, Rocco is the lead singer, and Tannis is the bass player. Talia is married to Rocco. Tannis is Talia’s twin brother.
This is one of my favorite reads so far this year.

A real addicting read. The rock band meets reality tv show was a fun concept. The dynamic between the band members, fellow members and past trauma showed depth and kept this reader intrigued until the very end.

As soon as I heard the premise of this book, it had me intrigued. This is one story where the characters are pushed to the absolute edge of their limits with the whole world watching them. When secrets and painful memories come to light, what will be left of them and their relationships with their loved ones? How far will they go for fame? And will their choices heal them or break them apart? This story was raw, emotional and gritty. 🎶
