I just finished A Shadow Flame, the seventh and final entry in the Book of One series. I have to admit this series was quite an exciting read. The cast of characters is rich and well rounded. Over the course of all seven books you learn to either love or hate them as they make choices both good and bad. I’m sure you’ll find your own favorites characters to cheer for like I did.

If you’re looking for an epic adventure with magic, swords, dragons, elves, and even the gods themselves than look no further. Each and every book in the series grabbed my attention and just would not let go. Definitely one of the best Fantasy series I’ve ever read.

I thoroughly enjoyed all books from the series and loved following the character's jorney and development. With that said, however, the last book was a bit of a disappointment. The final battle was anticlimactic considering the amazing race leading to the end. I was also very disappointed that we did not get to read more about Aaron who I believe could have made a really interesting protagonist. Considering how important he was to the main plot, it was strange that he was basically completely left out after book 3. All in all, it was a great read that kept me interested and impatient to learn what happens next. The book of one is a great story that has much to offer and I would recommend to any fantasy enthusiast.

i have to say i started the series because it was cheap. On Amazon the reviews weren't that great, mainly due to spelling mistakes/typos. i want to say here that this was one of the best fantasy series i've ever read, and i have read many. The characters are very rich and in each book i got surprised about the evolution of the story that I did not see coming. my friends already got tired of me saying "when will i finally know Ansari??!!!??", lol. i could not put the series down and found this final book a very satisfying conclusion to the series. Jordan please continue to write such amazing stories that kept me awake for hours without end and that transported me into such a rich and imaginative world! well done, i wish there was more...

Excellent story. I waited until the final book to write up a review, so I could review the entire series. Interesting characters, plot, dialog, and complete story. I love the way it ended, giving us hopes of a followup series. Loved the story telling, and the descriptions. A few grammatical errors, but nothing too major. All in all, a very well told story. Another series, that gets added into my favorites. Well done.

Twas terrible. A complete waste of time. I only read a few pages into this one before i got tired of everything. The names... everything. Aaron, Draxis, Calexis, Calthas, Stroma, Kroma, Borrican, Ariana, Ehhlena... Its all very frustrating. Ever since book 2, the series has taken a terrible turn. I really cannot continue with this shit. Got lots of other books to read.

The Book of One

Good read without the usual endings. Good development of plot and characters. Once again very poor editing!!! Misspelled missing words!!

The books of One

Second reading and very enjoyable. It is surprising how much when rereading a book you discover things you missed in the first. If you enjoy reading about good vs evil you will like this book

Warning.. Sorta spoiler. Kinda sorta maybe. Maybe not.

The series is one of the better ones i have read, The ending to the series (this book) is not one of the best. It leaves many questions unanswered, and if the author didn't specifically say this was the last book i would be looking forward to another with anticipation. Sadly.. This is the last book even with its huge black hole of a ending.

seriously WTF?

Don't get me wrong though, The series is damn good.. Just that ending....... Sigh..

A rather disappointing final book in what started as a promising series. The writer constantly reminds of what the characters are feeling but those feelings are fairly predictable and the constant reminder is tiresome. The actual plot ending is nothing special either.
