I read this many years ago, when I was working with a team of inventors. It was helpful with respect to understanding when it's appropriate to go to the considerable trouble and expense of protecting your invention with a patent and when it's wiser to just go ahead, make and sell and take the market by storm. (Some things will return just fine on your investment under trade secret level protection in which you simply don't disclose your secret method of doing whatever it is, and some things you'll do better patenting and licensing the manufacture to others, perhaps. And other things, which are shorter lived, you'd be better off just going forward and making the money from them while the need or the fad lasts). It's easy to read and conversational in tone.
