Holding On
How does a person decide if their own life is worth sacrificing to save another?

Shame holds onto a past that haunts him. Damaged by the parents that should have taught him unconditional love; they imprisoned him with violence and disregard. Even now, Shame struggles to find both the independence and love he deserves.

Knowing the blood that runs through him is stained merely by reputation, Hem seeks acceptance while he searches for ways to redeem himself in the eyes of those that have judged him his entire life.

Together the two have committed themselves to one purpose; protecting those they love the most.

Mace Cash is Hem’s younger sister. Although they share the same mother, Mace’s father despises Hem and his position within the family.

Sadey Lyons has loved Hem all of her life. Swearing to save herself for him, she’s determined to wait for him for as long as it takes; wanting only for him to see her as the woman she has become and not the little girl he’s always cherished.

When Hem and Shame meet Doc, the President of Lights of Peril Motorcycle Club, their lives take a dramatic turn. Finally escaping from a past that has controlled them, they find themselves living free.

But neither of them have known peace for long...

This is their story of love, loyalty, and heartbreak.

The Way Home
Where do you begin to put back the pieces of a shattered heart?

“I’m letting you go today, it’s time.”

Finally, Sadey is ready to say goodbye to the only man she’s ever loved. With the help of Shame and Mace she’s learning to breathe on her own again; one day at a time.

Her hopes are high and her world is finally coming into focus.

Until someone from her past comes back to help her heal, bringing with him more heartbreak and confusion than she could have ever believed possible.

Ace loves her. For six months, he’s watched her suffer from a distance. Knowing it isn’t his place to see her through this, but no matter the risk, he can’t stay away.

“Sadey, I’ve missed you, okay? I’ve thought about you. I’ve missed being here. Do you understand that? I’ve missed being around you, touching you, holding you, and laughing with you. I missed you before I even left town that night. You chose Hem. Not that it was any kind of competition, but you were with Hem. I was never even given the consideration.”

Emotions are high as further truths of betrayal are exposed, leaving everyone to pick up the pieces once again.

Toxic
Told through Shame’s point of view, the final installment of the Lights of Peril MC takes place on the ‘implied’ wedding day.

Shame is plagued with doubts surrounding his love for Mace. He loves her. He’s loved her since she was five years old, but feels he doesn’t deserve her. This uncertainty is surfacing while struggling to forget the loss of his tragic childhood.

“What if the trigger has already been set and I’m going to wake up one day and realize I’m my parent’s son in their way of evil? The thought sickens me. I’m no good without Mace. I never have been. She’s the one person in my life I would refuse to live without. If I ever treated her and Ryder like my father treated my mother and I, it would make for an easy decision. I would kill myself.”

Shame’s childhood wasn’t filled with happiness and love. It was heart wrenching, and abusive. Used by his father and resented by his mother, a young Neil struggles through his days waiting for an escape; a savior.

“As he seethes his anger onto me I feel the spit from his words land on my face and in it I smell his whiskey and coke coming down like rain over my blissful day. I’m working for them now. I’m nine and I’ve just been interviewed and hired for my very first job… running drugs.”

But once meeting Doc, Lynda, Mace, Hem, and Sadey - his life changes from desolate to hopeful.

I just couldn't do it. I got part way into the second book and Sadie as a character annoyed me so much I just couldn't stand it anymore. :( I wanted to put some baby powder in my hand and slap the ever loving shit out of her.

I'm not sure if it was AC Bextor's intent to write the character that way or not. Truth be told, AC is a great writer and tells a good story. I just couldn't stand dealing with Sadie's inane stupidity, having everything handed to her on a silver platter only for her to turn around and be such a sniveling god damned brat.

Honestly, how someone could be so loved and turn her nose up at it is just beyond me and it really bothered me. This series gets rave reviews and those reviews are well deserved, this series just wasn't for me.

This was a gift and I have never been a happier receiptent! I do love a good MC story and this box set was more than I could have hoped for. Having received them together was great because I couldn't stop myself from finishing the entire trilogy.

The world created here was refreshing. It wasn't completely swamped by the club and allowed the reader to see the lives of the characters beyond the club's walls. Following the intertwined lives of tough, sexy and occasionally dangerous Hem and Shame was beyond fun. Between their extracuricular activities and the family drama that unfolds I was hanging on by the seat of my pants.

Although the base of the story revolves around the siblings; Mace and Hem, I have to say that it was the secondary characters that stole my heart. Shame made me swoon, sweat and brake through all the stories. The final story told from his POV almost did me in. My beautiful, broken stubborn man made me love him all the more. Sadey...my god, she was unfreakinbelievable! She was the best, hot mess I have ever read.

I will never listen to "Kiss Me" without tearing up again. The writing was beautiful, fast paced and very funny. I felt like I had stepped into a familiar and comfortable world filled with crazy characters that were wild and yet believable. That's not to say that I wasn't knocked on my behind. There were plenty of OMG moments. I hate spoilers so I won't reveal any, but there were at least three clear moments when I shouted out loud because of what I read.

I found myself yelling at my Kindle on more than a few occasions. That in my book is always the clear sign of an amazing story. Three books and I have to tell you that I could've read three more. From beginning to end, the story of these characters was well traveled and nicely wrapped up...but...I still would love to see a novella of some of the others. Hell, I'd love to see a few shorts that focus on the main characters down the road. What I wouldn't give to see Shame dealing with his family!

All in all I loved the Lights of Peril MC series. It was a fun, fast and exciting set of stories that grabbed me from the first chapter.

Overall books rating will have to be 2.5 STARS

Thinking that the third book would be a POWWOW nope not even, it just gave me lots of eye-rolling, boring, how we go again and gosh can you not Mace so yeah I know Shame is sexy as hell but it still didn't faze me being all that interested.

I'd love to rate this more but the book just had this flat line feeling that I was expecting anything different. Guess I'd have to say that the third book was OKAY cause it was all in Shame's POV.

This series seriously sucked me in. I originally intended to read just the first one during our night before the Cleveland Author Event, but what occurred was an all-night binge read extravaganza. I literally couldn’t put this series down. Shame and Hem are delicious alpha male bikers. They are bad to the bone and sinfully sexy even though at times they need a good kick in the pants from their woman from time to time. The intensity of this book series is off the charts. The first two books literally ripped my heart out from time to time. I found myself a crying mess at the end of book 1. My husband even woke up to make sure I was okay as I ugly cried my way into book 2. This MC series is gritty, exciting, and romantically hot as hell. Shame stole my heart and soaked my panties while Hem frustrated me and turned me on all at the same time. Bextor’s characters are insanely genius. I loved this series and can’t wait to dive into the next one by A.C. Bextor.

I really, really wanted to love these books. I had been looking forward to them. I love MC books, and I like them to be unique. This one did fit that bill, in terms of plot line - WOW! However, I couldn't connect with the characters. I found that too many times I was surprised by some dialog or action because it didn't fit the way their personality had been portrayed elsewhere in the story. Ace was a complete enigma to me.
I read the first two books to see what the story line was. And that was pretty great! There were twists that I didn't see coming, and I love that! However, I found by the end of the 2nd book, I was tired of the dynamics, and how I couldn't make sense of them to keep up with the story. So I have to say that the third book was a DNF for me.
However, if you like the grittier MC series, give this one a try. The plot is worth the effort, and the box set is a great deal!

I absolutely LOVE this series!!! This was the first books I read from AC Bextor and she immediately became a favorite author! I love her writing style, it's smooth and flows well but pulls you in and won't let go till the end. Then you'll be begging for more! This has a unique but amazing storyline, very likable characters (ok, I love Shame & Hem!!), it has the angst & action, definitely has feels, intimate scenes hot enough to light up your device, and of course sexy as sin bikers that make this one hell of a story!!! Once you start reading this series, don't plan on doing anything cause you won't be able to put it down till you've read to the last page!
I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for an awesome MC story! You definitely won't be disappointed!!

No heroine backbone!!

These could have been a hell of a lot better if the heroines would have a damn backbone!! I was so pissed that everyone of them did not or would not stand up for theirselves. That alone pissed me off!! Then the third book had half of the first book repeated in it. I read Aces redemption first before these and was hoping the heroines would grow a backbone but they didn't so I'm def not buying the rest.

wow. I loved this series

How could you not love his series. Hot alpha male bikers, friends turned lovers, best friend journeys, coming of age, second chance love, crazy mysteries to piece together, and a heart breaking cry rolled in for good measure.

This one had it all. And the final novel really gave you everything you could ask for as an encore. This was great truly.

Absolutely amazing books

Loved this series!

Fall in love with these four main characters. You'll laugh, root far, cry with and be mad at but most of all adore them and all their faults.

This book is about two guys becoming brothers due to life circumstances. They become involved with an MC .

Couldn't put it down

I love this series all of it! I was only disappointed that in Shames search to find himself he left out the birth of his own child and his and Mace reactions to life changing events of loosiing her family and how he felt when she was taken . . .

This series covers Mace, Sadie, Hem, and Shame. It gives a look into finding each other and building their lives together. There are funny parts to counter the stressful scenes but an interesting series

While I found the characters compelling, this is some of the worst writing I've come across. Not sure what anyone else thinks, but I was stunned at how bad it was!
