DeeDee x Jabari

This was the perfect short to have in between full length novels. It was so short and so good and so welcoming. I've seen this author's name before but never actually read any of her work. After stumbling on another reader's review I decided to read this and I was pleasantly surprised. It was extremely short and it was a super feel good little story.

Cutie Patootie

The story was a real cutie patootie story. Even being so short, I use these as an appetizer for the next story. Bring a friend to a blind date has a brand new feeling for me now after reading this one.

This was such a cute, feel good little break from reality. DeeDee agrees to a double date with a guy she met online, thinking it will be nothing more than a harmless night out. Then he insists they each bring a friend, which already had me side eyeing the situation. But thank God for plot twists because the friend he brings ends up being the real win of the night.

I liked how quick and light this one was. DeeDee deserved someone who actually saw her, and the chemistry she finds on this date felt natural and fun. Jabari was charming, sweet, and honestly the definition of “if he wanted to he would” energy. Short, flirty, and just enough spice to leave me smiling, this was a perfect palate cleanser between heavier reads.

A sweet, soft, second chance at vibes kind of read, and Turtleberry delivered.

Perfect short story

This short story was the perfect length. I didn't feel like it was missing anything or would have benefitted from being longer. Jabari was so cute!

the friend was such a fun little surprise. deedee agrees to a double date with a guy she met online, thinking it’s gonna be a harmless “let me get dressed and get out of the house” moment. then he hits her with the “we should each bring a friend” request — which already had me squinting because… why? 😂 but his friend was a winner anyways lol.
this one was quick, light, and exactly what it needed to be. deedee deserved someone who actually saw her and matched her energy, and the chemistry she finds on this date? natural, sweet, and cute without trying too hard. jabari had that effortless charm — the real “if he wanted to, he would” energy men love to pretend is fictional.
short, flirty, and sprinkled with just enough spice, this was the perfect palate cleanser between heavier reads. solid 4/5 and a super easy recommendation when you want something feel-good and low-drama.

A really cute slice of life short about the heroine who ends up leaving a mediocre double date with the other very hot man on the “date”, who is our hero. It’s steamy, funny, and it has such a great hero. He cooks, he pleasures, and he takes care of the heroine with reverence. Loved him!
