So good! Rapunzel+Robin Hood+Dragon Shifters= the fairytale reimagining you’ve always needed. Such a unique twist on these stories with enough plot twists to keep you on your toes. The relationship between Zia and Ryder is so good and their progression is even better! An absolute must read!

I received an ARC copy of this book and am leaving a review voluntarily.
I really love how this author mashes ideas together so well. This book is both a Rapunzel and a Robin Hood retelling and I love how both stories have their roots respected while also adding in additional elements that add more spice (both literally and physically).
Zia and Ryder have a great relationship. It’s based on some mutual interest, consent and just an overall love for the others’ happiness that is so nice to see. There’s no doubt that they adore one another and it’s so gorgeous to see.
I love how the consequences of a daughter being kidnapped are not just waved away but manifest in behaviors and uncertainty. It makes perfect sense but we don’t ever hate the characters for the choices they make. Because it’s understandable.
Plus…dragon shifters. Dragons automatically make everything better

I was given the honor of beta and ARC reading this amazing retelling. I wont give to much away other then the spice be spicing. rapunzel meets Robin hood with dragon shifters yes 🙏 please. if I could give more than 5 stars i definitely would ✨️

This is the best book in the series so far! You have Rapunzel, Robin Hood, instalove mixed with slowburn romance, cursed magic, dragons, royalty, and so much more! I devoured this book in one sitting as a beta reader, and I had to come back to read it again to make my notes. And the finished version is so much richer and fuller. This is not a book to speed through, though. There are layers to this story, tales woven together with a delicate intricacy. You will want to savor this book. Each chapter, each page, builds an amazing story while showing us incredible characters.

The sheriff is absolutely vile. He is written very much like Alan Rickman in RH: Prince of Thieves, and I loved every moment of it!

Standard romantasy but in the form of a mashup of two very well known European children's stories. It's Rapunzel, but the handsome love interest is also Robin Hood who is also a dragon, because romantasy.
The plot is extremely simplistic, with all feelings felt one at a time and expressed very directly in words. Any obstacles faced are pushed aside with ease, usually within a few pages, but even when not, their solution is never earnt by the characters and instead of showing any character growth, they show temporary character inconsistency at most.
It's also unfortunate that characters from two famous mediaeval european stories (one German, the other English), use twenty-first century American language. I don't mean simple quirks of spelling and vocabulary, but whole anachronistic phrases such as "How are you doing?"
Now all of this would be absolutely fine for a straightforward middle grade book, which for the most part is exactly what this is (albeit entirely redundant as apart from the merger of the two different famous stories, very little new is offered). But we have a major problem, because there's an explicit act of oral sex around the thirty percent mark, and again and more around eighty percent. This is just not suitable for anyone whose reading level this book matches, whether middle grade, or borderline young adult.
At least the boundaries of consent are fully observed when it comes to sex, which is more than can be said for much of this genre, so I appreciate that at least.
Can I recommend this book to anyone at all? Perhaps people who either learnt to read, or learnt English well into their teens and are now over the age of eighteen, who are not familiar with famous European folk tales, and have a thing for being whisked away by a handsome man who then turns into a dragon and is some how all the more attractive for it, and are not fond of character depth, subtext, sub plots, nuance, or plot twists.

I was privileged to receive an ARC copy and this author is so kind. She always sends me a paperback copy (we don't even live in the same country!) because she knows I get headaches if I stare at a screen too long.
This book is my favourite of the Stolen Royalty series so far. One reason is that, with her first two, the MMC was far more powerful than the FMC and - although romantic - it could come across as the the MMC being too forceful. Here they are both 25: he is a rebel on the run, hiding forbidden magic (rather like Merlin in my favourite TV series with Colin Morgan) while she has been an adopted daughter/pampered prisoner, of the very powerful Gothel. I can't say too much here for fear of spoilers, but I loved the twist! Regardless, Gothel loves Zia/Rapunzel, but she loves her like a pet owner rather than a mother who would want her daughter to spread her wings.
So here are Zia and Ryder, just two troubled young people who don't know their own pasts and don't know if they can have a future together. But they have a purpose (I enjoyed the Robin Hood angel, as that happens to be my favourite cartoon) and they meet friends on the way.
I also like the way Zia may be autistic, or it may be the result of her spending her first 25 years unable to leave the tower, but her social difficulties are something that I, and a lot of readers, will relate to.
Great book! I will definitely read it more than once.

Tower of the Lost Princess by A.R. Kaufer is the third book in her wonderful Stolen Royalty series and this time she takes on not just the story of Rapunzel but also Robin Hood, blending them together to create a magical romance full of dragons and delight.
Though it is the third book in the series, each book works well as a stand alone retelling, so there is no reason not to pick this one up first, especially if you are a fan of Tangled.
Most of us are familiar enough with the beats of both Rapunzel and Robin Hood to appreciate how elements of both are woven together here, but the addition of the dragon shifter element adds originality. Readers who are familiar with the series will know to expect some spice and steam ( and not just from the dragon!) but for new readers be prepared for some sizzle.
The heart of this book is the relationship between Zia and Ryder, and though it did not get off to the best start, seeing how it grew and strengthened over the course of the book was a delight, I loved how caring and considerate they were of each other, and was absolutely rooting for them despite the obstacles they faced. Speaking of those obstacles, I did think that the one real flaw I could find in the book was just how easily some of those obstacles were overcome without any major consequences but that being said, I was here for the romance and that I cannot fault.

If you love Rapunzel, you’re going to love this dragon-shifter retelling! While it’s book three in the series, you don’t need to read the others to dive into this one (though I’ll definitely be going back to catch up on the first two). The author does a fantastic job weaving in the core elements of the original fairy tale while also dropping fun nods and Easter eggs to the movie.
The relationship between Zia and Ryder was a unique blend of instalove and slow burn. Their initial meeting sparks that instant connection, but because of the choices—and mistakes—of others, the true development of their bond unfolds gradually and in a really heartfelt way. I especially loved the reveal about the possibility of them being mates. Ryder’s honesty and willingness to let Zia make her own choice made their romance even sweeter.
This was such a fun and refreshing retelling, and I can’t recommend it enough to fans of fairy tale twists. If you enjoy retellings with magic, heart, and just the right amount of romance, definitely check this one out!

This book is a continuation of the Stolen Royalty series, but as it is its own story, you can read it on its own straight away. However I would recommend the other books too, because they are like this one, a really good read.
The story starts like your usual fairy tale and feels like a retelling of Disney's Tangled. However this book took me to places I wasn't expecting, from comets, treasure hunting, dragons and even Robin Hood, this book takes many great elements that would be excellent on their own and blends them seamlessly into a charming romance that keeps you guessing where its going to go next.
The only minor grip I would have would be the main protagonist herself Zia. She is well written and the romance between her and Ryder is sweet, but personally I didn't find her to be very likeable. But that's just personal preference, many readers would likely think differently upon reading this.
That is why I urge everyone to check it out and judge for yourself. Well written and imaginative, another strong and enjoyable continuation of an already great series.

Auto buy author for me, I can say I absolutely loved this story!
You don’t get the original Rapunzel experience, you have a lot of twists with it. Of course, the main characters are Ryder who is Robin Hood and a dragon shifter. Then you have Zia who is Rapunzel and I will let you read about her magic😏
I felt like I was watching Rapunzel but at the same time not because of how many twists and turns you go through. Not to mention the emotional damage!!
First 6⭐️ book of the year for me, have your tissues ready and go in your reading hole because you’re going to binge read this☺️

I loved this wonderful Rapunzel retelling by Autumn Kaufer, which is also a Robin Hood retelling! Two wonderful stories in one! Zia (Rapunzel) and Ryder (Robin Hood) find each other when he climbs into her tower searching for a lost artifact. They become linked by a curse and have to find the lost artifact together in order to break the curse. I loved the charming fairy tale feel of this, with archery tournaments, a comet to see, some spicy scenes, and dragons! This was also fun because as the traditional Rapunzel fairy tale unfolds, there are some fun twists, and lots of gray areas with the characters. I always love a story with interesting characters that aren’t entirely black and white, and there were lots of morally gray moments in this that made the storytelling interesting! And all the dragons! Love this series! 5/5 stars.

I hardly know where to begin with this author and her amazing fairy tale retelling smash ups! These are AMAZING And just when you think the story is over? You realize you’re only at 50%!!!!
Zia- Rapunzel raised in a tower and only knowing the simple joys and her mother. However she is completely unaware of the outside world or of certain rules such as magic being forbidden…. So when a certain man crashes into her tower, and magic binds them together? She must leave her tower
Ryder- the Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest and always trying to make life better for others, but harbouring a massive shifter secret! He found an object and it cursed him… He can’t control his shifts! And now he’s crashed and SHE is bound to him… such a little Thief
Gothel- they stole what was mine so I will steal what is theirs! I shall raise my Petal. This doesn’t go as planned at all! (So many secrets here and I will not spoil)
Parents and Royal responsibilities are TOUGH! That’s all I will say!

Another amazing retelling from Ms. Kaufer! I loved so many aspects of this story, from the romance, the subplots, the action, and most of all the beautiful HEA! Ryder is defintely swoon-worthy and I couldn't get enough of him! He is my top book boyfriend of the year! The romance is interesting, in that the MFC starts with instalove, falling for him from the start, but nothing really happens until nearly 100 pages in, so it's def a slow burn! I practically yelled at my kindle for them to kiss!
Gothel was an amazing character. Villain or victim, mother or collector, I'll let you decide! She is such a well-written and complex character!

Many thanks to AR Kaufer for the chance to read an arc of this book. Those opinions are still my own.
Tower of the lost princess was a sweet romance, a mix between Rapunzel and Robin Hood, with a twist.
The mashup was done well and the twist provided some unexpected elements.
However, I felt like something was missing.
Every obstacle was easily resolved, usually in a few pages.
Everything was immediately addressed as soon as an explanation was asked. And that explanation was immediately accepted, without much proof.
Zia and Ryder told each other every secret after knowing each other for less than a day. It was the same with their feelings, that developed pretty quickly.

It's not exactly a bad thing and if you are looking for an easy read, with likeable characters and a sweet romance, then that book is for you. It just wasn't what I expected from it.
Tower of the lost princess was a sweet romance, a mix between Rapunzel and Robin Hood, with a twist.
The mashup was done well and the twist provided some unexpected elements.
However, I felt like something was missing.
Every obstacle was easily resolved, usually in a few pages.
Everything was immediately addressed as soon as an explanation was asked. And that explanation was immediately accepted, without much proof.
Zia and Ryder told each other every secret after knowing each other for less than a day. It was the same with their feelings, that developed pretty quickly.

The chaos of moving prevented me from bingeing this in one night, but it couldn’t stop me from reading despite exhaustion. I am OBSESSED! I loved the character’s development throughout the novel— Zia becoming more confident and following that eagerness to learn about the world she was sheltered from with an open heart and Ryder turning from being stoic and anti-romance to falling HARD. Autumn Kaufer blends Rapunzel’s story with Robin Hood’s in Tower of the Lost Princess. This is book three in the Stolen Royalty series, so if you’ve read the others then by now you know she does a paranormal twist on the stories and let me tell you what— I enjoyed dragon shifter twist on this story. The only thing I’m sad about? Ryder is fictional 😭🤣

Tower of the Lost Princess is about Zia, resembling the famous “Rapunzel” in many ways as she was stolen from her family by Gothel as a babe and raised in a tower. But when a magical mystery man named Ryder crashes into her tower and sparks the magic of a curse that binds them together, what will happen to Zia’s carefully constructed life and Ryder’s broody loneliness?
This was a great read. I like that it resembles multiple other stories and fairy tales such as Rapunzel and Robin Hood but also has its own entirely separate structure and plot and magics. I was pulled in knowing it was based off Rapunzel stories but I was pleasantly surprised by the actual novel itself and its merit as a separate story of its own. Hugely recommend!

Rapunzel? Check! Robin Hood? Check! Steamy romance, action, mystery, adventure, and a villain so evil you rooted for his downfall? Check! Parts of this story had me in a chokehold. The author's writing style kept me immersed. I did feel lost once or twice, thinking it was a plot hole or inconsistency, but after slowing down, I realized everything is explained. This is not a book to skim or read quickly. There is so much nuance and so many layers to this incredible story!
If you're a fan of Tangled, Robin Hood, dragon shifters, and shadow daddies, you need to read this book! Thank you to the author for sending me the ARC. I am holding my breath to see what comes next in this amazing series!

This was an amazing instalove, dragon shifter, fairy tale retlling romance! This story has it all. I intended to read the ARC sooner, but life happens. I am kicking myself for putting it off as long as I did. Zia and Ryder's relationship goes from strangers to reluctant allies, to friends, then finally to lovers. It was instalove, at least on her part, but getting to the romance felt like a slowburn. This story has so many layers, woven together, with humor, grief, heartache, and more. I cannot wait to read the next book. This is an autobuy author for me, and I will defintely be purchasing my shelf copy!

Thank you A.R. Kaufer for a complimentary copy of the book for review. Thoughts and opinions are my own.While this is book 3 in The Stolen Royalty series, if you haven't read the previous books (like me...working on it!), you won't be lost! This book definitely stands on its own. I liked the way the author pulled in elements of the original Rapunzel fairy tale as well as several nods/Easter eggs to the movie, as well as drawing inspirations/more Easter eggs from the various iterations of Robin Hood! I liked that the story stood on its own but I also found myself smiling when an Easter egg popped up and I could give it the old "I understood that reference".
The relationship between Zia and Ryder was an interesting combination of instalove and slow burn! While their initial meeting led to a decent helping of instalove, because of the actions of people who refused to take responsibility for their actions, the way their relationship fully developed was actually really sweet. The reveal on the mate possibility was intriguing and I liked that Ryder laid everything out and let Zia choose to take the chance.
Zia was pretty decent. A little naïve, but all things considered, it's not surprising. She was very smart and I loved how she stood up to John when she went back to Sherwood. She also fought off the sheriff (slimy git that he was) and I liked(?) that she wasn't just lying down to take it. It took a minute to get there, but I also liked her telling her parents off. I did wish there'd been a little more resolution on that front, beyond the whole "we are royal and it's what we do", but at the same time it fit what we know of her parents. I'll admit I didn't care for the fact that Elizabet lied about Gothel that first time; jealousy or not, that situation wasn't handled well at all.
The connection between Ryder and Gothel was surprising. It explained a few things, but didn't excuse Gothel's actions. I will admit to feeling a slim bit of sympathy regarding what happened, but at the same time, since she refused to take responsibility for her actions, that erased all feelings of sympathy I could muster up. I did find myself laughing a little when she presented Ryder with the mate possibility and he was like "great, I'll go talk to Zia" and she was standing there with the "wait, what?" because you know she was hoping he'd run away.

This Robinhood Rapunzel Mashup was sweet and I enjoyed it. This romantasy was interesting, loved all the nods to the originial stories and I appreciated the new twists like this Ryder aka Robin Hood is also a dragon shifters with a full body tat, shadows, horns, and wings! This is a slow burn with tension, yearning, and a little spice here and there to keep you wanting more. Did I mention he braids her hair?? Zia aka Rapunzel, is still locked in her tower in this version, only to be discovered by a treasure hunter whose been cursed by an artifact he stole, holding back his magic and he must find it again and return it before the curse becomes permanent. Only his magic unintentionally gets bound together with the woman in the tower. She's forced to go and help him on his quest, only to fall for him in the process. With rivals in the way, Mother Gothels intervening, and her new life becoming apparent, will he still have a place in her world??

Tower of the Lost Princess is an amazing mixture between Robin Hood and Rapunzel. A delightfully whimsical tale about a girl trapped in a tower and falling for Robin Hood. This book goes the whole range of emotions from evil sheriffs to dangerous dragon transformations. The love story makes the heart pound. A perfectly horrible villain with a bit of a heart that almost made me feel sorry for her, but not quite. Dragon shifters, strange magics, and a terrific love story. It had everything! There are bonus easter eggs if you've read the author's other books and a few nods to the inspirations to the tale.

This was a super quick and easy read. If you like fairytale cross overs and retellings this is a cute book! There were several inconsistencies that did bother me.
HOW did their magic get bonded??
HOW did Ryder manage to get injured/not see/hear the spying when he stated several times he has “excellent senses”?
But I did love the tension between Zia and the king and Queen and the big twist.
Overall this was a very cute read and if you are a mood and vibe reader and not looking for plot inconsistencies then I would absolutely recommend this!

ryder who is robin hood and a dragon shifter, zia who is rapunzel but with magic. their adventure was so entertaining to read about. perfectly written as Kaufer is known for doing. this book definitely had me submerged in the story the entire time. lovable characters, villians we love to loathe, spice, tiwsts and turns, magic, and shifters whats not to love. yall go grab this as soon as it drops it will surely become one of your top reads.

This was a quick and somewhat spicy retelling of Rapunzel mixed with the Robin Hood story. The dragon shifter part was a nice twist to the story and I enjoyed the issues in the story related to it. However, everything in the book happened very quickly and I don't feel like I was able to connect to the characters that much because of it. For example, I wish there could have been more time of us getting to know Zia and Ryder (and them getting to know each other) before she admitted to falling in love with him. I enjoyed the story overall but it felt a bit rushed to me.

I found myself immediately immersed in this magical retelling of Rapunzel! Kaufer does an astounding job combining Rapunzel, Robin Hood & dragon shifters. From beginning to end there are so many twists from the original stories to make this the author's "own" as she keeps the readers guessing the outcome. There are several characters to love, especially Zia & Ryder, & just enough villains to hate. Oh, and those love scenes give just enough spice to keep you reading for more!

Easy and short read. A retelling of rapunzel x dragon shifter.
I really want to love this book but it failed to meet my expectations. A little bit too fast paced for my liking. FMC and MMC fell in love with each other a little too fast, and quite easily if you guys asked me. I want some yearning, baby. Well, we did get that later into the book so yeah. Also, the plot inconsistencies really bothered me a lot.
But oh, I was taken aback by some spicy chapters in this book. I was so unaware that this is an adult retelling haha. My bad ><

Rapunzel retelling? Yes please!! This book was so good. I mean a retelling that literally takes a twist on what Rapunzel was all about. Zia just wanted to go out of the tower and see the world, explore the place her mother had told her it was bad. But when this handsome man comes to her tower and takes her with him, she sees that all that her mother had told her was a lie. Shifters, thieves, mates, lies, secrets. Well, this book has it all. Loved it♡

I’m on the fence about this one. I liked it well enough, as Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Tangled were some of my favs to watch, but there were some aspects that I just didn’t like.
However, despite that, it was still a cute read. There are a few scenes that will make you smile because it brings back memories. And the whole dragon shifter thing was interesting as well!
I’m definitely looking forward to what Princess comes next.
