A beautifully written and designed devotional that gives hope for healing for those who have experienced hurt or harm within the church community. Incredibly supportive and highly recommended!

I received a copy from the publisher for review.

This is a new-to-me author, and this was a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed the artwork, the setup, and the overall feel of the devotional. I am very strict about the devotionals I read, and this one checked every box for me.

I love the four sections of the devotional: the hurt, the hard, the hope, and the holy. It gives a progression of hope through this faith walk that many of us face as believers.

The devotions themselves are short, yet impactful. They include a Scripture and then a question to journal through to help you focus on that devotion for the day and apply it in some way. The quotes at the end of each day are beautiful and lead to a moment of deep reflection.

The flow of the devotional is seamless; I never felt "out-of-place" while reading and going through it. I never wanted to stop, found myself wanting to do multiple days at a time. Even the end pages allowed me to go in-depth to write down more for each section, which was helpful.

This gives room to heal, to feel, to explore those emotions deeply while giving you the hope and space to lean on Christ through it all. Natalie Runion did a phenomenal job at writing this devotional and I highly recommend this to all women.

Natalie Runion truly speaks right to the heart, the heart of a person and the heart of an issue. And this devotional is no different. I’m not much of a devotional girl because I usually find them too fluffy. But not this one. This one has meat and I so appreciate it. It doesn’t shy away from speaking the truth in love with a little fun quips and brutally honest stories as well. This devotional is perfect for someone overcoming the church they have experience from the the people of the church—and maybe confused that with hurt toward God. She is direct and loving and encouraging at the same time. I think the very last devotional of the book was my favorite, though. They were all so unique and poignant. Highly recommend.

**thank you netgalley and the publisher for a review copy of this book. My opinions are my own.

It's built as a 40-day companion to an earlier book and the devotional walks you from church hurt toward healing. It's written for the weary but willing so expect encouragement over controversy. The daily format sometimes circles the same ground but the tone stays gentle throughout.
