⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Stunning Enemies-to-Lovers Romance That Will Leave You Breathless The Mountain Knows is everything I didn't know I needed! Paige Mohr has created a masterpiece of longing, yearning, and a love so powerful it literally transcends memory itself. Sloane is traded away like she's worthless, married off to Owen Knox who treats her like a burden he can barely stand to look at. The tension between them is INTENSE—but there's something underneath all that hostility. Their matching burn scars, the way he instinctively shields her from flames, the fragments of something neither can quite remember... I was HOOKED from the first page. The banter between these two is absolutely chef's kiss. Even when they're at each other's throats, the chemistry crackles off the page. Mohr perfectly captures that delicious enemies-to-lovers dynamic where you can feel the yearning and pining beneath every sharp word. And when the truth starts surfacing about what really happened the night that marked them both? My heart couldn't take it! What makes this book so special is how Mohr weaves mystery, romance, and destiny together. The mountains chose Sloane and Owen for a reason, and watching them uncover their hidden connection—a bond forged in sacrifice and written in fire—is absolutely devastating in the best way. Some loves are too powerful to forget, even when memory fails. The humor balances perfectly with the emotional depth, and the arranged marriage setup creates such delicious forced proximity. Every heated glance, every moment of reluctant protection, every crack in Owen's icy exterior had me SWOONING. If you love enemies-to-lovers with soul-deep connections, arranged marriage romance, and the kind of yearning that makes your chest ache, The Mountain Knows is an absolute must-read. This book proves that the heart remembers what the mind has forgotten—and some loves are truly written in the stars (or mountains!).
I absolutely loved this book! Finished it in 24 hours because it gripped me from the beginning and I couldn't put it down! The chemistry and tension between these characters was beautifully done, and so raw with emotion and healing. This story had so much heart, you could feel it in every word. Of course, in true Paige Mohr fashion, fantastic banter is incorporated and I found myself laughing out loud a few times. But mostly, this book is full of emotional depth, healing, and recognizing inner beauty. I highly recommend this lovely romance story that tells about two emotionally broken people who were destined from childhood to be together, and who ultimately heal one another's old wounds.
I binged "The Mountain Knows" in one day. The storyline is addictive, unique, and beautifully written. The characters are realistic, loveable, and well-developed. This story is dramatic, heartfelt, hilarious, heartbreaking, joyful, and romantic. It is about fate, familily (both blood-related and found), and everlasting love.
