Shelby knows his special online helper just wants what’s best for him, but he’s not sure how to steer his, hopefully, not-imaginary friend in a more interesting direction. Helping him with his budget and his caffeine consumption is nice, but what he really wants is to figure out where all the Doms are hanging out.
Eddie just wants what’s best for Shelby…mostly because Shelby can’t seem to do that on his own. But when Shelby makes it clear he’s ready to date again after a string of disasters, Eddie has some decisions to make…help Shelby from the shadows like he has been for years or take their relationship to the real world…and the club.
Author’s Eddie contains what is probably considered consensual stalking and an MC who is really hoping his online friend/helper isn’t AI or imaginary. It is a standalone story that takes place after the events of the main Romance and Revolutions storyline.
Shaw Montgomery loves reading, traveling, and family. While not necessarily in that order, they all rank pretty close. Shaw has lived all over the United States and even Germany. While the coast of North Carolina is a favorite place Shaw currently lives in the Western United States. Current wish list places to travel to are Australia, Italy, and Scotland.
When Shaw wants to write about things that are a little more taboo (or sometimes a lot more taboo), Shaw writes under the name M.A.Innes.
This book is 135 pages and the author uses a pseudonym for one of the mc. That name is used 154 times. What in the actual? That’s not only repetitive thing in this book.
I was hoping for a cute story. The first scene was amazing…the rest not so much. Ugh
When am I going to learn to stop blind buying books from this author? I re-read past works and convince myself that a new release will be just as amazing. Ugh FML.
Shelby’s online helper, Eddie, has been quietly guiding him for years—offering budgeting tips, caffeine reminders, and a steady dose of care. But Shelby’s ready for more than spreadsheets and self-care. He wants connection, romance, and most of all… a Dom. Preferably one who isn’t imaginary. Eddie, devoted and discreet, has watched Shelby stumble through dating disasters from behind the screen. Now, with Shelby ready to dive back into the scene, Eddie faces a choice: keep helping from the shadows or finally reveal himself—and maybe take Shelby to the club where fantasies become real.
I loved this story that blended digital intimacy, kink exploration, and the blurred lines between fantasy and reality. I liked that it was a quirky, kink-positive romance about trust, vulnerability, and the leap from online affection to real-world desire. Both men were carefully written so that they felt real although the ending felt a bit abrupt. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.
What I love most about these omegaverse books is how unique each relationship is. This is one I wouldn’t have expected. Being how the other stories were I should have. I’m so glad we got to see Austin again. Silas and him are always fun to read. Shelby is definitely going to become great friends with Austin. I don’t think they realize how much they really have in common. Now those two together on one of the infamous omega nights would be a blast. I have no doubt that Eddie will be aware of all of their shenanigans.
When I first read the blurb for this book I didn’t realise it was part of a series. That said, when I did find out, it said it could be read as a standalone so I decided to go ahead anyway. That was a mistake. The story seems to start in the middle of something, Shelby is communicating with his so-called helpful stalker but here we get none of the lead up to this, the stalking etc. I had so many questions about how he got to this point. There are also a handful of references to alphas and omegas but for the purposes of this story at least it’s completely irrelevant.
It was nice to get a story back in the Romance & Revolutions world and get some time with Austin and Silas. They were as crazy as ever. This time we met Shelby and his longtime stalker, Eddie (or not-Henry, as Shelby calls him). I enjoyed this story, though I would have appreciated seeing how Eddie found Shelby. I liked the fantasy of it, a well-intentioned stalker who only wanted the best for the man who held his interest. Their quirks and kinks matched up well, and I enjoyed their odd little love story. It was fun.
I absolutely loved this story. The characters were amazing and so fascinating. These two didn’t have a typical love story but that’s what made it so interesting. The idea that love doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. This was a fantastic story.
Loved this story. Everyone needs a Not Henry !! From being Shelby's stalker/ life guide to actually meeting him was fun. Thoroughly enjoyed reading ,love it when Austin appears in a book, he just seems to course chaos.
Eddie is part of the Romance & Revolutions series by Shaw Montgomery. It's about Eddie and Shelby. I liked their story. It was sweet, sexy and well written.
I could read about this universe that Shaw Montgomery has created every day. Also that we get cameos, like Austin and Silas. Will Shelby be getting a new job? Loved this!
Being Shelby’s online helper and the one to steer him to make better choices, Eddie has been the one constant in Shelby’s life. But Shelby is spreading his wings a bit and Eddie has to make their digital connection a physical one now too.
A sweet, Dom/sub read that has familiar characters in it with a lovely ending.
