Rate this book
Retired on a disability pension after being shot in the hip, FBI agent Duncan Wyatt is bored to tears after making a full recovery. His hum-drum existence comes to an abrupt end when he is recruited by ATF to work undercover in the Florida Keys. A Keys native, Wyatt not only knows the territory, but the target of their investigation, his high school sweetheart of twenty-five years ago, Katherine Wolfe. Wealthy Miami based industrialist Xavier Estes, a first generation born Cuban has long been suspected of gun smuggling to Cuban rebels by ATF. His suspected accomplice is Keys resident Katherine Wolfe and her sons. Once Wyatt shows up in the Keys, the pot is stirred and the fun begins. Kate’s right hand man is Walter, Wyatt’s father and a small-time, bitter criminal. Walter hates Wyatt with a passion and would just as soon shoot him as spit. Kate, while cynical of Wyatt’s sudden appearance in the Keys also finds the old spark of their high school days and tries to bed him. Wyatt, in the midst of the investigation somehow finds himself involved with a local stripper named Lo-Lo Del Ray that may or may not be his undoing. Estes, ever suspicious of everything decides to take matters into his own hands and sends a team of hit men to the Keys to kill everybody. Key West Takedown is filled with twists, turns, surprises, sex and humor and is a page turner to the end. Start to finish it is one hell of a fun read.

Too much unnecessary profanity

Wrong use of nautical terms ,such as " maps" are called "charts" and reference to " look to starboard ,what's that ? Left" ..port is left starboard is the right side of the boat .but it was a good pass the time read and will feed others by Lamanda

Key west takedown

Interesting thriller with very little mystery but enjoyable to read and easy to come and go as you went through the tale. The series is a good one for entertainment without a deep philosophy continuing unchecked throughout the book.
