An awe-inspiring read that will help the reader to fully grasp the gravity of the Eucharistic sacrifice of the Mass, and the demands that are placed on us by God in His desire for us to love Him. Though large sections of the book delve into theology, first of the True Presence and then of the Mass as representations of different aspects of the Life of Christ, (and even then, smaller sections elaborating on Mass's ceremonies), these foundations are necessary for the appreciation and understanding of the Mass. Rich with stories of holy men and women, saints and various blessed and venerable Catholics, the book demands faith of the reader to believe in what generations of Catholics have readily accepted. Especially after the failures of modern catechesis in the Church, this is an important read that will surely change one's life, view of the Mass, and Catholic faith for the better.
