Harrison doesn't mind his job. It's easy, pays well and fits in with his boring life. When one of the wind turbines he's paid to monitor malfunctions, he sets out into the remote cornfields to see what's causing it. He never expected to find an alien squid that seems to want the unthinkable from him...After being ambushed and assaulted by an alien squid, Harrison finds himself hurling through space on the way to the creature's planet. Forced to feed the alien, Harrison finds himself in one predicament after another. Together they face giant leeches and shark-toothed aliens. Forced to rely on his kidnapper to survive, he finds himself growing closer to his alien.*Contains hot tentacle sex!*
Man, is this my favorite tentacle erotica, or what? :D
This has everything that I want in a tentacle story: -weird, non-humanoid aliens -ROMANCE -Emotionally safe romance, at that! Unlike most romances, I don't feel that I have to put any triggers on it for emotional abuse. There is dubcon in the beginning (in the sense of "this is a romantic, pornographic fantasy novel and it just feels soooo good", not in the sense of "Harrison was drunk and couldn't remember if he consented"). But honestly? This is head and shoulders over, like, 95% of the romances that I've read. Lou really cares about Harrison and the narrative makes it clear that by the end of it, . -A horrifying-looking alien who is SO SWEET AND NICE AND GENUINE -It takes place in a "closed circle", in this case a spaceship. Guys I have very specific tentacle needs!!!
Valentine really stuffs Lou's backstory to make him as sympathetic as possible, and it works. Even though he kidnaps & fucks Harrison, Valentine constructs a universe in which his actions are understandable. I have such a soft spot for this series - I just wish it would be longer! I want more!
Harrison continues on his adventure. Each part of the story is such a tease. I am actually enjoying what I'm reading though. Does that make me weird? The alien that Harrison calls Lou is more than just a squid and it sounds like there could be more to their relationship than abductor and abductee. It's interesting.
