While there are instances in the book where I disagreed with Mr. Rosenbaum, the book did what it was intended to do. It made me more interested in what we term the dry parts of the Bible. It helped remind me that God did not put something in the Bible just to waste one's time. It is there for a reason. One just has to take the time to study in order to find it.

this was a good account of the more boring parts of the Bible. it had some good insights worth jotting down and a lot of Trivia on the names and lists of the Bible. easy to read and with a writing style that was conversational and reminded me of my mother (who recommended the book to me.)

An overlooked classic! I love this book and read it twice. It did not gain the popularity it deserved. Mr. Rosenbaum found treasure in the most oft-overlooked portions of scripture.

Basically, this book says that to enjoy the boring parts of the bible, you need to pay attention to the details
