Hachi tells herself that she's got her eye on the future and her life with Takumi, but she just can't let go of the past and her friendship with Nana and the rest of Blast--especially Nobu. And the tangle gets thicker when Hachi's wedding has to be postponed in favor of Nana and Ren's nuptials. Can Hachi handle another delay in her happily-ever-after?
Ai Yazawa (Japanese: 矢沢あい, Yazawa Ai) is a Japanese manga author and illustrator. Her pen name comes from singer Eikichi Yazawa, of whom she is a fan. Yazawa started her comics career in 1985. She specialises in shojo manga (girls' comics). Most of her works have been serialised in the magazines 'Ribon', 'Cookie' and 'Zipper'. Yazawa's stories focus on young, often rebellious women and their relationships. The characters are always very stylish, and Yazawa herself is known for her sense of fashion. (She even attended a fashion school for some time after high school.) Among her most famous manga are Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai (I'm No Angel, 1992–1995), Neighborhood Story (1995-1998), Paradise Kiss (1999-2004), and Nana (2000-2009), the latter awarded a Shogakukan Manga Award in 2003. Some of these works have been adapted into anime and live action movies.
When I believe this manga is going to bring me some happiness, something terrible occurs, shattering all of my cheerful dreams. The world is so unfair, and so is this manga.
So weird to think that this is where the anime ends. Theres 10 volumes of unanimated content. Idky I thought it was fewer than that. I love this series so much. Wishing for a conclusion everyday lol.
Throughly enjoyed. Mainly how the author portrayed famous couples relationships being shaped by PR and the reception of fans in a “shipping” mindset. It all seemed very real and palpable.
"Nana was someone who made me believe in fate, more than anyone I'd ever met before. I felt that the red string that was about to break would be held together by our matching rings." -Hachi
I'm really enjoying the interpersonal relationships within and between Blast and Trapnest, and Hachi's role in between the two of them. And things are building up with Nana and Ren, as well as Hachi's personal life... but I have to be honest with myself. I just want this series to end with Nana and Hachi finally choosing each other and getting married. To each other. So that's a bit of a distant wish, but I can dream!
Soy demasiado fan. Necesito más información para vivir.
what horrible thing is going to happen? I mean, foreshadowing for 12 volumes? I cen't feeling nervous for how the next volume will start. I can sense a lot of heartbreak for a lot of people coming, most of their relationships are so fragile
So now all the threads are comeing together. I am really confused about Ren cause I thought, from other reviews, that something happened in book 21... but I don't know now. Gosh, this series just grabs at your heart and wont let go!
i finished watching the nana anime last week (gave it a 3/5) and was planning to stop there...but rebekkah (my anime queen), yet again, convinced me to finish the manga since it made her cry. the lord knows i need a good cry so here we are.
so far: i feel more and more content with my 3/5 star rating. idk why i'm doing this either.
