Rachel Malinsky wasn't certain the ad she was responding to was actually placed by a billionaire. Nor did she know if this man would be interested in her very curvy body. Hell, she wasn't even sure she even wanted to be a submissive to begin with. From the moment he started instructing her to do things that terrified her, though, such as stripping for him on video or exposing a breast in public, she was hooked. Now if she only knew who he was or what he looked like…
Forced to Bloom is an erotic romance that engages the mind as well as arouses passion. A BBW discovers the self-confidence she's always lacked when she decides to submit her curves to the control of a rich, powerful man she's never even met.
Warning: ADULTS ONLY! This sizzling story was written for adults 18 and over and includes scorching sex scenes.
Living in the Pacific Northwest, Alexis Adaire spends too much time indoors, cuddling under blankets, emerging from the bedroom periodically to refill her coffee mug and write stories.
Alexis likes to take her readers to those secret, unspeakable corners of their fantasies they barely even knew existed.
i really liked it. i found it fresh for me and hit my mood at the right time. i liked the ambiguity of M and the way Rachel was portrayed. I found this to be a fun and engaging read leaving me wanting to read more in the next of the series. I liked it and I will read more of this series to be sure.
Starts well, but then becomes a six part serial of average 35-40 pages and totalling over £11 or well over $12-13 so no, I’m not going there. Shame, because if it was one novel and priced £4-5 I might have splashed out.
I hate being held to ransom like this on serials. Writers lose out as most of us walk away. 2.5 stars
I was so VERY excited that Alexis Adaire was releasing an erotic BBW romance that not only was contemporary but an intelligent erotic romance as well. What do I mean by that you ask? Well if you read BBW books, most of them are paranormal or wham, bam, thank you mam books and while I do love those books, it’s nice to read a book where the leading man doesn’t change into an animal. Anyway, let’s get on with the story. Rachel is a BBW woman who is looking for some excitement in her life, but is maybe a little scare to go out and get it (in my opinion). But one day she comes across this ad for a man wanting a submissive. It wasn’t quite what the man put that attracted her to the ad, but the accompanying photo. Rachel walks away from her computer, to go to work, but cannot get the image out of her head. When she comes home she finds the ad deleted, which disappoints her, until she realizes that she has opened a reply window in her Gmail…what should she do. This book literally had me on the edge of my seat…what will she do? Her decision surprised me, but not as much as what comes after…I am not going to say anymore other than the fact that the story was well written and I enjoyed everything but the cliffhanger at the end (I have no patients to wait for the net book). Even though I hate serial stories, I am already addicted to this one. Forced to Bloom book 1 earns 9 out of 10 from me.
Rachel responds to a Craigslist ad for a billionaire looking for a submissive. I personally would not meet a man with an anonymous and untraceable email address from a Craigslist ad at an undisclosed location by myself. Did no one teach this girl about stranger danger? When will these naive wanna be submissives ever think with their heads and not with their cunts? Also, what kind of billionaire solicits on Craigslist?
After getting over the sheer stupidity of the main character in the beginning, I thought it was a pretty good read. If you’re into hot as hell exhibitionism, this one’s for you. Writing was good, and there seems to be a promise in the subsequent books of the series.
While I'm not new to the BDSM genre, this was a new and fresh approach to how the sub meets the Dom. I liked this approach a lot. One thing that irked me with the book, however, was the fact that M was completely indifferent to the fact that Rachel is not an experienced sub. A good dom would have understood this and explained things more; not just 'Do as I say.' He also would have asked for her limits and her safe word before ANY type of relationship, sexual or otherwise, began. That being said, I look forward to reading more of this series. I am hooked and want to know if M proves himself to be a respectable dom, or if he's just a control freak.
Maybe someone that does truly enjoy someone like her. Is willing to train her into who she may supposed to be....you never know, start reading the series and see how it proceeds. ...
Well, this was a very short and racy book! With only 38 pages, there is a lot of story crammed in, and you really get the beginning of what I can imagine is going to be a steamy series. We don’t get to know much about Rachel and M, other than what goes on in their sex lives and what they are expecting from one another. This was unlike anything I’d ever read before and made it all that more intriguing. Rachel is looking for a bit of sexual excitement in her life and has taken to Craigslist to see if anything titillates her fancy! When she comes across M’s advert, she knows she must do anything it takes to be selected for the ‘job’! I hadn’t realised the same characters would have their story told over six books, so I wondered where it was going towards the end, and then it said ‘to be continued’, and I realised this was just the beginning. I was really gutted when the story ended, and I wanted to pick the next one up straight away. Unfortunately, I have other reading commitments, so I think I will have to ration myself to one book a month to finish off my reading for the month with a nice short story. This was a great read, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next for Rachel and M.

Nothing says new romantic relationship like a Craigslist ad, right? The narrator answers a mysterious ad looking for a sub. She's self conscious about her size, but she needn't worry.
Very short - if all the books in the series are this length, it could have been combined into one book. Some bizarre details and turns of event, and primarily phone/webcam self pleasuring action; not really enough for me to want to continue the series.
It's an interesting concept and something to consider perusing for a bit longer. Having a platonic, albeit a short distance sexual relationship seems so foreign to my senses.
However, I feel a compulsion to continue to Book 2 of this series. Sex, in ALMOST any form, is compulsive.
It was an interesting read. By no means bad, just creepy. Some of the scenes were hot, but the whole relationship borders on stalking and that’s what I couldn’t get over. The exhibitionism was definitely interesting. I don’t know if I’d read the next one, but if this interest you, I’d say check it out.
I loved the start of this story a bbw down about her appearance looking for something to bring her alive in side, answering an ad to be a sub. Mystery surrounds the secret of who M is but Rachel follows through with his orders.
As a BBW, I was looking forward to the body positive affect, but after awhile Rachel just became incredibly annoying. And so did "M". I didn't feel there was any authenticity of a sub/dom relationship.
Curvaceous, size 14, Rachel answers a random Craigslist ad "Billionaire seeks Submissive" on a whim and gets chosen! Always criticized for her body, she doesn't know if this is a hoax or if "M" really wants her. I can totally relate to Rachel as I have her body type. A great start to the series!
First I would like to say that 42 pages isn't really a book. In fact all 6 books have an average page count in the forty's and at a price of over £2 per book thats a very expensive read. The character M tells Rachel they will never meet and never have sex yet it's a BDSM relationship . Sorry just wasn't for me.
