kINK: An erotic thriller

Rate this book
Emma Reynolds is beautiful and young and smart and has almost everything she’s ever a wealthy husband, a charming home, and a successful career. But something is missing. Erotic memories—scenes from a few lustful weeks in college—consume her thoughts. Emma’s conservative husband no longer measures up to the breathtaking pleasure of her dreams. She wants the fantasy. She wants the fairy tale.

But fairy tales were first meant to frighten.

Emma acts shamelessly on her wicked desires and finds herself drawn into a dark world of surrender and lust that even her wildest imagination could never have conjured. kINK is a shocking tale of deception, blackmail, sex, and a catastrophic collision between hedonistic fantasy and sadistic depravity. When Emma’s wanton actions force her to choose between her reputation and her staid husband, she makes a fateful decision, leading to a disturbing climax so twisted it will take your breath away.

Includes a shocking alternate ending.

I was born in Arizona a long time ago and still live in the Phoenix area with my wife and three children. My family also includes three big dogs and several cats. I received my undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Colorado State University in the 1980's -- before the internet.
I have been a writer for many years. My writing career began more than twenty years ago with cowboy poetry, which I recited at gatherings thoughout the Southwestern United States. I am the author of two novels. They are both thrillers, but they are very different from one another. I tend to write the kinds of stories I like to read. My diverse list of literary influences includes classics by J.R.R. Tolkien, Charles Dickens, and William Shakespeare, humor by Baxter Black, political thrillers by Tom Clancy, and yes, even erotica by E.L. James.
During the day, I am a busy veterinarian in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Writing is my hobby, so if it takes some time for me to complete a project, please forgive me. My plan is to write a novel per year. The third is already in the works....

Good story. Well written.
I think the full name, Kink: An Erotic Thriller is misleading. There's not all that much sex in the book, and though what is there is BDSM-ish, it's not over the top. If it were a movie, I'd guess it would be R-rated.

The one thing I didn't like was the alternate endings. It has been a few months but I think I liked the second one better, but already had closure.
