Reading a lot of this authors work this was a tad different for me. It was not paranormal - her usual genre. But saying this I delved in turned the last page and sighed and then face booked her lol..

FANTASTIC I LOVED IT

I have read tons of Patti's book and this one really did touch the heart. It was great - so very down to earth , so very heartwarming and touching and so very real to life.

The fact also that this book was also set in cairns where I live and The tablelands and surrounding areas I felt as though I was there within the pages. I could see the views, feel the stinky heat (haha) the sudden downpours ,, I could feel it all and see it all. Everything within was so easily envisaged

It was so surreal.

I enjoyed this read very much so , I had tears in my eyes and was so grateful no one was home to see me wiping them away. At one stage my reading was blurred but I read on .. Wanting to find out what was going to happen..

Patti has written ABOUT THREE AUTHORS = its a story filled to the brim with every emotion one could feel. We see love, loss, heartache, happiness, hate, tears of joy, tears of sadness, surprise and if you don't shed a tear within these pages something is not clicking haha.

This book was about moving on, forgiveness , and learning to live despite what life throws you. Learning to take one day at a time, to except what has been, what will be and grab an opportunity with both hands if it feels right. About living after losses of any kind. Take a chance what is there to loose ?

I personally loved the book, we see four women in this story, each with a story to tell. Within the pages we see secondary characters join in, tell there stories - which builds the solid plot and storyline that Patti has so cleverly woven.

I enjoyed all the characters that Patti has penned - from Garry - the heartthrob - to Rodger the gutter scum - and even a character you will find a change of heart to.

The storyline was fluent and grabbed me - I was whisked along with the stories of the Three Authors and certainly would love to meet them in real life. The book event would be certainly something I would be more then eager to attend and it would be fab if it was in cairns :D hint hint !!

A resort for authors to visit !! argh - hold me back !

The characters were very real to life, we all meet people we fall in love with , friends we meet and instantly click with, friends we loose in life due to circumstances , people we don't want to see again.. new friendships that never seemed doable !!

But - Patti did a fab job of creating her characters with flaws, yet also giving us such well structured characters to love and hate.

Felicity - I have to say I felt so very different about In the end. A very strong woman and I loved her in the end. I wont tell to much it will be a surprise. Why does she stick with me - I cant tell, but like I said after you have read it you will also think the same.

I had a laugh or two along the way , even amoungst the tears , we find laughter and happiness. I think its important to have the perfect blend of everything within a story and this author certainly does this.

The ending was perfect. Well delivered, all loose ends tied and left me with a heavy heart filled with both joy and sadness. This will make sense once you have read it.

Would I recommend it - very much so ...

But be warned you will giggle, argh , swoon , and cry..

I had to say I was getting a tad worried in the end - my hea I was after didn't happen till the last pages, but I smiled and my eyelids fluttered and my heart soured.

This is a story that made me feel every page and many emotions. I did not expect to find this many layers in this story and every layer unveiled a solid plot with characters from the beginning to end.

Heartwarming, Enjoyable, tearjerker, story with meaning.

Was given an ARC and honestly would have bought this book.

"Who ever said Love was easy?"

Been trying to think for a couple of days on how to write this review. One, I wanted it to do this wonderful story justice and two I didn't want to be a spoiler.

Patti Roberts is an amazing story teller and although this is a departure from her usual paranormal type of book, it was still wonderful.

"About Three Authors" centers around Becky, a girl who used to love Christmas but a few turn of events has made this holiday nothing to celebrate. She is given a chance of a lifetime to go to Australia for work and interview three authors and their grand opening of a writer's retreat.

From the beginning of this story I was immediately drawn into this story and felt my heart breaking right along with Becky. Throughout the story my emotions felt as though they were being tugged, yes I even got upset with Becky and a few other times her and the other characters made me cry.
Patti Roberts has the ability to draw you into her stories. She writes with descriptions that transport you there when you close your eyes, her characters are all thought out and very believable. She brings you into the story so well that you feel invested in each person and place, as though you could possibly go there and visit with them.

Although this isn't her usual paranormal type of story it is still well worth the read. I know I will be reading it again and again, but the next time I will have tissues ready because About Three Authors will grab you by your heart and soul. You will LOVE this story!!

***"I don't regret this, and I don't regret you. I refuse to regret any of it. Whatever happens in the future, we had this, here, now, Becky Jensen. And I will never forget that. Ever."***

What an amazing story of loss and love! It's the perfect read for Christmas.
I love how the characters developed and how out of loss and hurt, love and friendship was found. It's a story of hope.

Dandelion Wishes

This book is a stand alone I am almost positive :)

Becky's life is fractured. First by her mother getting sick(pancreatic cancer). Then by her mother's death from the stupid cancer on Christmas of all days. Next her father brings around Felicity(her fathers much younger secretary) and introduces her as his new girlfriend! It doesn't seem like it could get worse for her until Felicity becomes her new stepmother(not even a year after her mother died). She thinks nothing worse could happen... But boy is she wrong! Is her relationship with Roger even going anywhere? Why has her best friend being so odd around her lately? Will she ever feel alive again?

Filled with family secrets and betrayals this memoiresqe contemporary romance is sure yo keep you on the edge of your seat! This is the story of Becky's journey to deal with the grief of losing her mother and the implosion of her world while finally learning to let go and learn to live again! It was heartbreaking and uplifting all the while being fully entrancing at the same time. The stream of consciousness writing is very well done and while it takes a bit to get used to was the very beat form for this book to take! I can't wait to see what Patti writes next! I will definitely be reading it... No matter what genre or form it takes!

***This book is suitable for mature young adult through adult readers (especially those trying to come to terms with a loss)

"Never Give Up on Love"

Love is sometimes hard to find. And then, some times, it's hard to keep. In this story, Becky Jensen's life has turned into heartbreaking chaos. Her mother had died from cancer on Christmas Eve the previous year; her father has just remarried, and also her boyfriend was caught kissing her best friend. Becky is having a difficult time moving forward, especially when it is Christmas time again. Her Uncle Steve arranges for her to go to Australia for a week to interview three senior ladies who have been successful authors. They've just opened up The Lakeside Writers' Retreat. Becky has a lot to learn from these three women who help her evaluate her potential for not only success, but also to be hopeful about love. This is a very thought provoking story with a great story line and exceptional characters. It's a steady read you'll not want to put down.

I read this book from my Kindle. When I saw the cover I thought the Christmas season would be involved in most of the book. Actually it mentioned that the main character Becky's mother had died a year ago on Christmas Eve and that was it for the Christmas season. Becky catches her boyfriend kissing her best friend so when offered the chance for a trip to interview three women authors she says yes. The story takes us back to the author's earlier years and how they met to their current interesting lives. Becky, the main character, finds out a lot about herself on this adventure. There is a twist in the book about Becky's life . A good read but not wonderful for me.

This story was lovely to read especially as some of the story is based on FaceBook and the friendships we can make via it. The main story is about a heart broken woman whose life changes overnight after she makes a wish. She gets the opportunity to go to Australia and in just a couple of weeks her life gets turned upside down but very much in a good way. This is a stand alone book by Patti Roberts and although it is a totally different type of book than what I am used to reading of hers, it was thoroughly enjoyable and I definitely recommend it.
