Take a look back into her high school and college days, when she was causing just as much turmoil and chaos. This story's ending is only the beginning of Secrets of a Side Bitch 4, and the dots will connect even more for key players in Simone's vindictive games of love. **** EXCERPT **** My life was over, and I knew it. Honestly, I couldn’t even ask God why. I was reaping what I had sown. I deserved death because I’d sown so much death during my life. For years, I’d lied, manipulated, and terrorized. I lay there with bulging eyes, staring at Jimmy’s knife, not even attempting to beg for a speedy death. As thoughts of my treacherous past blurred my vision, I knew that I didn’t deserve the easy way out. For so long, I had suppressed the events of my past that made me the woman that I became. Yet as I faced death, those events came to mind...

Author of Urban Chick Lit, Erotica, and Contemporary Urban Fiction... Jessica N. Watkins was born April 1st in Chicago, Illinois. She obtained a Bachelors of Arts with Focus in Psychology from DePaul University and Masters of Applied Professional Studies with focus in Business Administration from the like institution. Working in Hospital Administration for the majority of her career, Watkins has also been an author of fiction literature since the young age of nine. Eventually she used writing as an outlet during her freshmen year of high school as a single parent: “In the third grade I entered a short story contest with a fiction tale of an apple tree that refused to grow despite the efforts of the darling main character. My writing evolved from apple trees to my seventh and eighth grade classmates paying me to read novels I had written about kids our age living the lives our parents wouldn’t dare let us”. At the age of twenty-eight, Watkins’ chronicles have matured into steamy, humorous, and realistic tales of women's literature. She hopes that The Epitome of Femistry series will successfully emulate ideal femininity while tackling stereotypes, familiar heartache, and relatable distress in a humorous, sophisticated, and erotic fashion.

Oh Simone, my sweet little psycho...

This book takes us back to Simone's wacky beginnings, and I honestly feel so bad for her. She never had a proper role model growing up, even if her mother treated her well.

Both of her parents tried to steer her in the right direction, but of course, she didn't listen and now we have a whole series of her being batshit crazy.

At one point Simone said she doesn't have any female friends, MAYBE BECAUSE YOU'RE TRYING TO STEAL THEIR MEN SIMONE, THE CALLS ARE COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE!!!

Anyway, I love this series, it's so messy and I'd like to get the physical copies.

Okay so I am hooked on this series. This book explained how, why and where Simone got her craziness from. All I will say is that the apple does not fall far from the tree. She is the product of a dysfunctional family and she plays the part well. I don't condom her psyco actions but I do understand. See you again Simone in book four.

Very enjoyable Series. Simone has been hated by us sooo much.. She is such an evil person, that I figured she must of had an evil beginning.... Well we do indeed find out where her crazy behavior derived.....

Simone has been causing chaos since she was a teen. Lying, wanting what/who wasn’t hers and refusing to accept no as an answer from guys. In her mind, no one was off limits. This only means one thing, her karma is definitely long overdue and I hope that she finally receives it in book 4.

I loved this book, it was raw and inviting. Simone is a person who you will not want as a friend, she will double cross you every single time, and try to steal your man while she's at it... she is sneaky and conniving. But that's what made me love the book. Also you will have to read all of the other "Secrets of A Side Bitch" book 1,2,and 3 to understand what let up to her being the way she is/was. I truly enjoyed it and will be recommending my book club to start the series. Once again, Job well done Jessica Walker!! my new favorite author. I will be looking for the next book in this series because I know your not going to leave us hanging....lol. Take care.

Great book

The Apple doesn't fall too far from the tree...Simone is her mother's child. Simone has been something else to deal with since she was a teenager. I loved her daddy though. He knew what his child was capable of and tried his best to be there for her. While her mother was in denial, her daddy knew the lies that Simone were capable of. Her mother was making me mad how she was willing to put her life on hold for a much who didn't want or love her. This book gave you a deeper look into Simone's life.

Simone been crazy from the start! Lol smh. I loved this book. All the scandalous stuff she did had me not wanting to put my kindle down. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and that's so true because her mama was just as thirsty as she was when it came to a man not wanting them. I loved the lil talk Simone's dad had with her about men. Too bad she didn't take heed to it. The ending had me on edge now I definitely have to read Secrets part 4. Great job Jessica!

YES!!! Jessica N. Watkins DID THAT!

After 4 dramatic, mind boggling and suspenseful reads, I'M LIKE DIZAMN! We FINALLY get the juice on "THE SUPER CRAZED" Simone Campbell! Even before High School she's been a fast tailed, attention seeking, drama queen!

Loved how the author brought us full circle from past to present, highlighting how her parent's estranged relationship and suppressed events influenced the psychotic monster she is today.

BRAVO ‪#‎SimoneCampbell‬ & CAN'T BELIEVE I'M BEGGING FOR AN ENCORE!

Simone's Story

After reading Simone's story, I see why she led such a troubled life. Her mothers behavior for one. The apple didn't fall far from the tree. Jessica Watkins has written another page turning great read that I finished quickly. Ready to read Pt. 4 to see where this story goes! Highly recommend this series to all!

Crazed

Sow. What a crazy story. Simone seems to have gotten her crazed ways from her Mother. I kind of wondered what happened with Saundra & Maurice. Guess Simone is really dead..

THIS BOOK MAY EXPLAIN SOME STUFF ABOUT SIMONE CAMPBELL, BUT IT STIL DOESN'T EXCUSE ALL THE EVIL SH*T SHE'D DONE TO FOLKS: AS A TEEN: SEDUCING A MARRIED NEIGHBOR GETTING PREGNANT BY HIM, FEELING UNASHAMED ABOUT DOING SO; THEN AS AN ADULT GETTING WAYWARD KIDS TO COMMIT MURDER OF A PREGNANT WOMAN SO THAT SIMONE COULD LIE ABOUT BEING PREGNANT BY THAT DEAD PREGNANT WOMAN'S UNBORN BABY 'S FATHER SO OMARI WOULDN'T FEEL BADLY ABOUT BEING WITH HER NON-PREGNANT CRAZY A**; THEN THERE WAS THAT OTHER MARRIED DUDE THAT LIVED IN INDIANA WHO'D GOTTEN WRAPPED UP IN HER WEB BUT SAW WHO SHE WAS & WHAT SHE WAS ALL ABOUT, CALLED HER ON HER B-LLSH-T, & SENT HER ON HER CRAZY A** WAY. THEN, TRICKING ANOTHER WOMAN INTO GETTING INTO HER CAR SO SHE COULD KILL HER; RUINING LIVES, ETC. ETC. ETC.!
SIMONE'S MAMA MAY NOT HAVE SET A GOOD EXAMPLE FOR HER DAUGHTER, BUT I FAIL TO SEE HOW HER MAMA'S DESPERATION FOR HER EX'S D--K EXPLAINS WHY SIMONE WAS HOW SIMONE WAS.
AS AN ADULT, SIMONE CAMPBELL'S LIFE SPIRALED OUT-OF-CONTROL & SHE HAD NOBODY TO BLAME FOR THE THINGS THAT SHE'D CAUSED OTHERS BUT HERSELF. I DO NOT BLAME HER MOTHER OR HER FATHER FOR HER WAYS AS AN ADULT. SIMONE CAMPBELL & ONLY SIMONE CAMPBELL IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR HOW SHE CHOSE TO LIVE HER LIFE THAT LEFT HER LIFELESS IN THE END OF HER OWN SERIES.
INTERESTING SERIES THOUGH, I'LL GIVE JNW THAT.

The saying "The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree".....definitely applies here. Simone Campbell is a product of the woman who birthed and raised her. Cecily and Derek are Simone's parents who lived fast and ultimately had their worlds collide and resulted in a baby neither of them were ready or prepared for. Simone's backstory gave even more of an eye opening look into the reasons why she came to be the character that she was in Books 1-3. Her pattern of fatal attraction and never feeling adequate enough in her own mind started in her teens. This book was a good read, it had a couple of empathy moments, but overall it showed how a girl scorned turns into a woman of the same nature even if the wounds were mostly self-inflicted.

Enlightened.

This story about crazy Simone gave us the background on her life.
She really set up rematch and his friend. She lied and ended up ruining those guys future. She slept with Faye's husband and convinced herself that he was in love with her and would leave his wife for a child when she discovered that she was pregnant. Derek didn't believe that rematch raped his daughter. I found out where she got the craziness from, it was from her mother. I was happy for Derek ad Faye because they actually fell in love with each other; however, tragedy struck. This was a good book.

I have not read ghetto, hood storylines in over 25 years. But my sister recommended this book and I was shocked at how much I liked it. I do wish it was just one story and not five novellas. This story pulled me in because the character development was really good. I was invested in everyone’s lives. I was really pissed at Amari for being such a cheating dog and being so blinded by Simone. And I was bothered that Simone literally got away with murder in the end. I was hoping that in this last book, she would go down! But it was nice to see her backstory to realize that she is her mother’s child.

Oh my God...I’m so glad I read this book. It put things into so much perspective about Simone’s crazy ass self. Unbelievable how even as a little child she was sick in the head and now to the connect the dots...come to find out it’s her momma behavior that allowed this delusional behavior to carry through to Simone’s adult...and then she is still alive .....I’m pissed about that. I wanted so badly for her to be dead...I’m preparing to read book 4 and I know one thing she better leave Omari alone. He has been through enough.

I listen to the audible all in one day. Simone truly inherited her mom’s crazy ways and I gained a better understanding of why Simone was the way that she was. Her own father did not even care for her the way that he should have. The ending seemed slightly tragic however, Simone always manages to get out of it somehow. I have a feeling that some people from her past are going to show up in part 4 which is why this book should be read after reading part 3 and before part 4!!

This was good. It let look the the eye if Simone and see why she is the was she is. I can't believe after all the this time she was just like her mother at least realize that her ways was crazy. The story line is great and definitely take you on a ride through Simone and the only I can do shake my head.

Good Read

Wow. Now I see why Simone is so crazy. But she is way crazier than her mom. At least her mom came to her senses after she hit that boy with her car. But Simone is just a psychopath. I also like how Simone got out of being killed and no one knows yet, but hopefully she gets caught and spends the rest of her life in jail.

This is the best book in the series, so far.
It gives the back story of Simone. She has been boy crazy since kindergarten. I blame her mom for her shenanigans. She watched her mom obsess over her dad for 20 years. Simone was a pawn in her mom’s game, a way to lure her daddy over; a way to talk to him on the phone, etc.

All I can say is this book is good and make you clutch your pearls from beginning to the end.

The character Ciecly is all to familiar. Whether its yourself or somebody you know. And her daughter Simone is somebody you know as well.

Urban fiction

Demonstrated a sick phenomenon where a Black woman crazily lusts after a man who wants her sex only; and her daughter was just like her.
Very mangled and confused ending. Spoiled everything. Should be rewritten.
