It’s been seven months since ninety percent of the world’s population died, ravaged by a pandemic called THE DEATH. The world that remains is a hostile one. Chaos has replaced the rule of law, savagery has replaced civility and the one rule that everyone follows is, kill or be killed. Devin, Tess and Brianna survived the pandemic but can they survive the world that remains? Each new day presents challenges and threats but they are persistent and do what needs to be done. Their goal is to find a safe place and they believe that is where Tess' fiance is located. However, the road to him will be treacherous and the guarantee of success is not certain. After narrowly escaping the clutches of Chancellor Horton; Lori and Travis have taken refuge in an old ranch house in northern Colorado. Once safe, her mind has turned to her unborn baby. Without a cure, the baby could die within days of birth. A cure exists but is locked inside the very place she just escaped from. There are many questions left but the greatest one for them all. Will they survive long enough to find the answers?

The 2nd Born About The Extinction of the Human Race
HEY has penned the 2nd Novel in the apocalyptic of the Death series. The survivors who remained from the first novel continue to exist in a hostile environment. They attempt to relocate list ones even as a hostile government develops a new virus to continue the termination of the unwanted. This is an excellent excellent read for the genre.....ER
Terrible female characters. Although in the beginning they are described as tough they make stupid, brainless decisions while all the coolness is reserved for the male characters. And in the end it's the men that shine. This also impacts the dialogues. Although the story is interesting I won't read the last part.
I'll start off saying that I liked the book. but Lori, the more they fleshed out her motivations in life the more I started to dislike her(spoilers) she married David to just leech off him and then cheats on him then he takes her back but later on she still goes after Travis (who apparently just forgot about Tess temporarily) but still GOD her part ended in such a soul crushing depressing way. but over all, great survival series
ok I'm hooked. 444am just finished. try it, you'll see. pulls you in and you have to finish. fast paced and need to read to conclusion. good series but I'm so tired.
Sad. :( This book seems to me to be more gruesome than the first. I listened to this book on Audiobook and the way the narrator does the female voices is so annoying!! Moving on to the third and final book. I hope the Chancellor is tortured to death.
