Mr. Visconti may be an elite athlete, but an elite author he is not. He would have been better served to find a co-author to guide him through this project. And no doubt he would have had no problem finding such as person since he has so many connections! He would have come across more humble if written in the second person rather than the first. Way too many "I's" for my liking. That said, I learned a lot about figure skating and the history of the sport. I was impressed by Mr. Visconti's drive and his family's support of his endeavor, as well as his own continuing support of skating after his heyday ended.

This book was amazing! As a former student of Gary Visconti, this was a great opportunity to hear all of the amazing stories that he told me in writing. To read about what his childhood was like is something, a kind of connection, I cannot describe. Gary was my first coach and this book was a great way to bond with him again, ever since he retired and moved away.

Really 2.5 stars. A lot of name dropping and needs more organization. I wanted to rate this higher as the author has some great stories to tell as well as a very long and amazing history.

The entire motivation for sharing my life and lessons learned was a fun challenging project. Written for young people nine and above, simple, easy, fun, lite read. I stated in my book I have stated n my book , my skills are not an author, my design and concept and message is simple, never give up !! People of all ages need encouragement and a little guidance. Having been blessed with great mentors in my life, we ALL can achieve our GOALS. The book is the K.I.S.S. ( keep it simple stupid). And my life has been keeping everything in perspective. Enjoy.
