Please note--this novel is offered in TWO different 1) A spicy/open-door version with mild explicit language and intimate scenes 2) A sweet/clean/closed-door version with no language and only kissing. I want ALL of my readers to feel comfortable, so please choose the best version for you.
Dr. Helen Chu doesn’t believe in Christmas miracles.
Not after the year she’s had.
When her best friend’s reckless, infuriatingly hot brother moves in after a surfing accident, her silent nights are officially over. Teddy Wright is all bad boy charm, temptation and chaos wrapped in tinsel and twinkle lights.
But when Helen’s ailing mom mistakes Teddy for her boyfriend, there’s only one thing to play along. Soon they’re making a list of fake dating rules and checking it twice.
It’s supposed to be easy as gingerbread pie. Just a little holiday make-believe. 🎄 Except for the one-night stand they never talk about. 🎄 Except Teddy’s giving her looks that could melt a snowman. 🎄 Except one mistletoe kiss that turns more naughty than nice. 🎄 And those fake feelings? They’re starting to feel dangerously real.
Now Helen’s grinch of a heart is at risk of being completely unwrapped. If she’s not careful, this Christmas might burn more than just cookies.
Full of cozy tenderness, and holiday magic, Holiday Love is a flirty, swoon-inducing, page-turning, fake-dating romance about second chances, family, and falling for the last person you expect. Read if you like forced proximity, one bed, grumpy sunshine, reverse age gap, Christmas chaos, emotional angst, and happily ever after (HEA).

Soooo!! This is my third DNF of the day! Hmmmm, obviously not tooooo thrilled about that but what can a girl do!
So I read the first four chapters of this and just couldn't get into this one at all. This is being sold as a holiday romance ... That was not the vibe for me. This was odd. It was not cosy. Jarring would be the word I used to be honest.
The MMC Teddy literally dies in the first chapter! Then in the second chapter we meet the FMC, who is his doctor. The FMC and MMC have previously had a one night stand - no judgement, but I personally do not associate that with a Christmas romance vibe - and now the FMC is trying to save his life after he was drowned in chapter one - going against hospital policy. I mean does this sound festive to you?? This was a mess! THEN, we discover the FMC's mum is also dying ... This was depressing. I thought this was going to be a more fun Christmas read ... Plus, there was a lot of medical scenes - author is a doctor which is fine -but the FMC drew the MMC's blood and it was just a bit too graphic for me after all the death and depression. I just don't want to read about that sorry in my supposedly holiday romance book.
Yeah, not my vibe. Too medical, too dark and too depressing! I want cosy, Christmas, love vibes! DNF from me!
Oh, how I’ve absolutely loved this series! I was so excited to get Teddy & Helen’s story.
Who doesn’t love a good holiday romance!! Teddy & Helen were perfect. The banter, the tension, and the emotion in this book had me hooked. I absolutely loved all the holiday vibes! I am a sucker for a good redemption story & seeing another side of Teddy, just made me so happy. I loved the sweet/caring side we got to see & how much he felt for Helen! This was a beautiful story about growing with change, friendship, family, and healing together. While this story had the humor, the spice, and the holiday vibes, it also had an added emotional aspect about dealing with grief. My heart resonated so closely to parts of this & had me tearing up! Melissa Dymond did an amazing job with this story!!
Thank you for the early opportunity to read Holiday Love!
This was such a charming holiday romance! It’s the kind of book that wraps you up like a warm blanket on a snowy night full of heart, humor, and the perfect amount of festive cheer. I adored the chemistry between Helen and Teddy from the very beginning; their connection felt real, tender, and full of spark.
I loved that this story had both laugh-out-loud moments and sweet, emotional scenes that gave it real depth. Helen’s perfectionist nature and Teddy’s easygoing charm balanced each other beautifully, and watching them navigate old feelings and second chances made me grin the whole way through.
It’s cozy, a little spicy, and completely satisfying it’s the ideal read to kick off the holiday season. Fans of opposites-attract and best friend’s brother tropes will absolutely fall in love with this one. Thanks to the author for the gifted arc.
Really cute story about Dr Chu, aka Helen, and surprise patient Teddy, who was her one-night stand after his sister’s wedding a year ago. They haven’t seen each other since then, and all of sudden he’s her patient in the emergency room after a surfing accident. After she’s able to resuscitate him, he has to recover from all his injuries and he can’t manage to navigate his former living quarters, so of course she had to take him to her condo! From there, things definitely heat up, and her mother somehow thinks they’re dating, so they put on a show for her, and it gradually becomes not fake.
This is a great, easy read with a really wonderful conclusion. I highly recommend!
Five stars!
I received a copy of the digital ARC via the publisher and NetGalley. My review is voluntary.
This was my first read by this author, and I enjoyed it so much! It’s my second Christmas book of the year, and it was such a great choice. If you’re in the medical field, you’ll especially love this one!
The banter, the tension, and the pacing were all spot on. It kept me turning the pages the whole way through. The emotions were written beautifully, and I loved watching their relationship grow. Definitely add this one to your TBR! 🎄💉📖

Thank you to NetGalley, Victory Editing, and Author Melissa Dymond for the arc. All thoughts in this review are my own.
Holiday Love by Dr. Melissa Dymond is the perfect festive escape, quick to read but full of heart. The main character? A strong, independent doctor who suddenly finds herself living way too close to her best friend’s younger, reckless, bad-boy brother. And let me tell you… the tension? Whew. Scorching.
This book has everything: thick emotional moments, grief that tugs at your heart, personal growth, second chances that feel earned, and a romance that’s both swoon-worthy and real. Oh, and there’s just the right sprinkle of holiday magic throughout that makes it feel cozy without being cheesy.
The family dynamics are messy in the best way, relatable, raw, and emotional, and the chemistry between the leads is chef’s kiss. If you’re looking for a holiday read that’s fun, flirty, and a little deeper than your average rom-com, this is it.
Grab your blanket, pour some wine, and get ready to fall in love.
I just loved Helen and Teddy! Their chemistry and banter was so good. I love the way they supported each other as friends first before becoming more. Even with their past of a one night stand and not talking for a year. Helen encouraged Teddy to follow his heart and what he wanted to do with his life and Teddy supported her quirks and encouraged her to try new things.
I found Melissa’s books on NetGalley and this is my second book of hers I’ve read and I’m obsessed with her voice and writing style. There is actual crack in her books, I just stayed up till 1am binge reading this book for 3 hours.
Best friends brother AND fake dating tropes, also don’t forget it’s a he falls first and harder😏
A wholesome holiday romance, with some hard hitting topics included. An enjoyable read and I enjoyed Teddys and Helen’s romance and how they brought out the best in each other. I struggle with a miscommunication trope and just want to shake the characters so that’s always frustrating. And it will seem silly but I’m not sure the logistics of the steamy sections with a full length leg cast being on, I genuinely don’t think it’s possible! Overall, a good read!
°❀⋆ Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
4/5 ⭐️
Love me a slooooow burn.
I made the incredibly grave mistake of reading and finishing this at work as I have been DEPRIVED of the ability to scream and punch my pillow. I felt all the emotions with this one - anger, grief, happiness, you name it.
Helen and Teddy must be protected at all costs. They are both such honest, vulnerable and emotionally intelligent people, and I literally could cry just remembering that part with Helen, Teddy, and Gina at Helen’s apartment. Just as much as Teddy, I hate that Helen has almost no idea of how good of a person she is like HELLO - she is what I strive to be and more wtf
I love their characters but I wanted nothing more than to yell at them every single time they miscommunicated about the fact that one or the other was unaffected by the one night stand.
A few things:
I wish we knew more about what happened that night that Teddy went surfing and ended up in the ER. I feel like this was a huge part of the story, and we didn’t really get to explore much of it.
Differentiating between past and present. Unless it was starting at a new chapter, there were times where we’d jump timelines and there wasn’t anything to initiate it like italicizing or saying “1 year ago”.
The holiday aspect of this book. Despite it being called holiday love, it really wasn’t giving much holiday.. Other than it taking place around Christmas time, really nothing about this was giving holiday. It just wasn’t very Christmas-y to me. Maybe just a me thing, I’m a white Christmas type of girl so the California setting wasn’t doing it for me.
ANYWAYS
I really enjoyed this, and I appreciated the cute little doodles and visuals throughout. This was super cute, super funny and just AHHHHHHH love
Is it too soon to be reading holiday romances? I don’t think so because I’ve been diving into them since summer. This book is set in California with the holiday spirit present under the warmth of the sun and the crashing of the waves.
We have Teddy and Helen. Helen, the self-sufficient ER doctor with strict schedules, and Teddy, the charming and chaotic party boy, are forced to live together after an unexpected “accident” upends both their lives. They have to deal with their insecurities, their one night stand, their hidden feelings, and the aftermath of everything that happened.
I really liked how both characters help each other grow, but also deal with a very delicate topic in their lives. Some secondary characters cause some conflicts and a couple of them also grow throughout the book.
This is more than a holiday romance. We have lighthearted moments, funny moments, and deep conversations. I enjoyed that it focused on the characters finding themselves, taking risks, learning to communicate, speak up about what they really want, and heal themselves to love each other. I also loved that it included character art all throughout the book.
Thank you Melissa Dymond and Hayling Bookstorm for the early copy and for making me part of the street team. This is my honest opinion.
This was a sweet festive romance, with lots of chaos, unexpected feelings, angst, tension, and a hea. I loved Teddy and Helen's journey, the initial awkwardness, all the flirting, fake dating, redemption, and how they bring out the best in each other. It's cosy, funny, light-hearted, and the characters feel honest and relatable as they both figure out what they want and need from each other and from life. The fake dating rules are hilarious and I love their banter and chemistry, and the awkward situations at her parents house as they figure out their new boundaries. It fits so well with the festive season, and gives off that second chance Grinch feel. It's an entertaining story of navigating interfering friends, career changes, insecurities and conflicts, a splash of miscommunication and their secrets catching them out. I loved the dual pov, and seeing how hard they try for each other. There are 2 versions available, so you can choose between open and closed door romance.
Fake relationship romances are my absolute weakness, and the moment I spot that trope in a book, all my self-control goes right out the window. I just know I’m in for a good time! That was exactly how I felt when I started this one, and it completely delivered. On top of that, it also has an age gap romance, which has been growing on me more and more lately. The mix of the two made for such a fun, emotional, and completely bingeable read.
One thing I have been enjoying more and more lately is when books include flashback chapters. When done well, they add so much depth and emotion, and that was exactly what happened here. The flashbacks provided important context, giving the story an even stronger emotional core and helping me connect more deeply with both characters.
This is a slight spoiler, but as someone who has lost a parent, I truly felt the emotional weight behind certain scenes. The author handled those moments with such care and sensitivity that it made the story feel even more authentic. It is rare for a romance to balance humor, tension, and heartfelt emotion so seamlessly, but this book does it beautifully.
All in all, I really loved this book. It delivered everything I look for in a fake relationship story while also giving me a few pleasant surprises along the way. Since I see this is book three in the series, I will definitely be checking out the other books as well. If they are anything like this one, I already know I am going to enjoy them just as much.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**
“You’re brave, Helen,” I say. “Not because you never mess up. Because you keep trying anyway.” ~ Holiday Love was phenomenal and exactly what the reader has come to expect from Melissa! This one felt like it extra/resonated with some of the feelings, though. I absolutely loved getting to see more of Helen and her story line was not the way I expected things to go, but it made her journey so beautiful as she blossomed along with Teddy. Now, we all know fake dating is my catnip, so that was just the icing on the cake! Teddy growing up and figuring out what he wanted was an adventure, and I loved getting to meet more people from his world this time around, as opposed to Gwen and Jenny. And I have thoughts that I hope come true there 👀Anyway, the holiday vibes meet Baywatch were absolutely there and they hit the spot. The tension in the background, both sexual and mysterious? Always there when it was needed. The romance? The journeys to self-love, and the new pathways opened up? My heart. I cried multiple times, almost as much as I swooned and laughed out loud and I had so much fun reading this. And Sam! We stan Sam on the this account! Well done, again!
I received this book from NetGalley as an ARC. I must say that I did not realize it was part of a series until I was finished reading so it can definitely be read as a standalone.
This book served its purpose for what I wanted to read at the time. A quick, cute, easy read. I do plan on picking up the previous two books in this series.
This series. This book. So amazing. All the feels!
I was so excited to get my hands on Teddy and Helen's story. I am a huge fan of a redemption arc and I just knew there was going to be so much more to Teddy, than only Gwen's "lazy" brother.
Nothing is better than a couple who just brings out the best in each other. I don't think Melissa can write a story where the characters end up having amazing redeeming qualities.
The spice, the tension, the character growth, the angst, all absolutely amazing.
You get: • Contemporary Romance • Spicy • Holiday Read • Doctor FMC • Sister's Best Friend • Forced Proximity • One Night Stand To More
I highly recommend this one & the whole series.! Available on KU, ebook, and paperback (November 3rd).
Holiday Love by Dr. Melissa Dymond ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 stars)
My first Christmas read of 2025 — and what an incredible way to start the festive season! Holiday Love is everything I want in a holiday romance: flirty, emotional, full of heart, and just the right amount of spice. It’s a fake-dating, second-chance love story that had me hooked from page one.
We follow Dr. Helen Chu, an ER doctor who springs into action when a near-drowning patient arrives—only to realize the man she’s saving is Teddy, her best friend’s brother and the guy she ghosted after a one-night stand a year ago.
Teddy, still living life without direction, wakes up to find the woman who walked away now saving his life. When he’s discharged with a full leg cast, Helen insists he stay with her until he recovers. It’s supposed to be temporary… until Helen’s mum mistakes them for a couple, and suddenly, they’re fake dating for real.
This book is packed with warmth, chemistry, and heartfelt emotion. Helen’s growth felt raw and relatable, while Teddy completely stole my heart. He’s written with such sensitivity and depth that I couldn’t help but root for him.
Melissa Dymond beautifully balances lighthearted festive fun with heavier themes like cancer and grief, written with such compassion and care. It’s a story about love, healing, and finding joy again.
I couldn’t stop smiling, laughing, and tearing up. If you’re looking for a cozy, emotional, spicy Christmas read—this is it.
Tropes I loved: 🎄 Fake dating 🎄 Forced proximity 🎄 One bed 🎄 Grumpy x sunshine 🎄 Reverse age gap 🎄 Christmas chaos
Releasing November 3rd, 2025, and I highly recommend preordering it! Huge thanks to NetGalley, Dr. Melissa Dymond, and Lexi Davis for the ARC—this one’s going straight to my “holiday favorites” shelf.
So, I didn't expect to fall in love with this book as much as I did. I know it was never explicitly said but it was very clear that Helen was neurodivergent and it's pretty awesome seeing that kind of representation in books.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the artwork that was in between some of the chapters. MORE AUTHORS PLEASE DO THIS! THANK YOU!
I really adored Helen. A lot of her story broke my heart but I loved that even though she had the insecurities that so much of us do, she wanted to be better and was stronger because of it.
Teddy was adorable. I want one. No notes.
There were some heavy themes in this that dealt with the death of a parent and a parent sick and close to death. That's definitely something that should be taken into consideration before reading. It hit me a little hard when Helen had some sweet but very heavy moments with her mother. Absolutely had me sobbing.
There is a bit of spice. I wouldn't call it the spiciest book I've read but there's quite a few scenes. Maybe 3.5/5 on spicy level.
Major spoiler though: if you don't like 3rd act break ups, this book doesn't have one and you'll be very happy. I personally cannot stand them.
Anyway, I thought the writing was actually really well done and I felt like the characters had fantastic chemistry. I actually can't wait to read the next book in the series as I assume it's going to be about Jamie and Lindsey.
The only complaint that I have with this book was in the beginning when both of them mentioned the age difference. It was weird and unnecessary when they are only 4 years apart.
Holiday Love” is everything I want in a festive romance—warm, cozy, emotionally layered, and just the right amount of swoony chaos. Melissa Dymond blends classic holiday tropes with a fresh emotional depth that kept me turning pages long past my bedtime.
Helen, an ER doctor with a carefully structured life, finds her world knocked slightly off balance when Teddy Wright—her best friend’s irresistibly charming brother—crashes into her routine after an accident. A misunderstanding leads to a temporary stay, and suddenly the two are sharing space, moments, and feelings neither of them planned for.
What I really enjoyed was the balance: ✨ The chemistry is instant but believable. ✨ The holiday setting adds warmth without overwhelming the story. ✨ The tension builds naturally as both characters open up, collide, and grow. ✨ And yes—there’s a sprinkle of festive spice for readers who enjoy that.
While the tropes (fake dating, forced proximity, friends’ brother) are familiar, they’re executed with enough heart and sincerity to feel comforting rather than predictable. The emotional beats land beautifully, and Teddy’s character, in particular, surprised me with his vulnerability and growth.
Final Thoughts: A cozy, heart-melting read perfect for anyone who loves holiday romances with charm, depth, and that slow-burn “I’m falling for you and I don’t know what to do about it” energy. A perfect December read—and one I’ll be recommending to fellow romance lovers.
I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have received an advanced copy of Holiday Love from the author! 🫶
Holiday Love is the absolute perfect read for the holiday season and I loved it with all of my heart! 🥹💕 It is such a heartfelt read that made me laugh, cry, and smile throughout my time reading it! 🫶
I love that the author has two versions of this book: a spicy version and a non-spicy version in order to cater to all readers which is amazing! 😍 As soon as the story started I was honestly hooked! ❤️ What would you do if you were an ER doctor and the patient brought in happens to be your best friend’s brother and the guy you hooked up with a year ago? That is the situation Helen, an ER doctor happens to get herself into when Teddy is brought into the ER after a surfing accident! 😱🙊🤯 I will not be spilling anymore details on that front because you need to read it and find out the rest! 🤭 I will say though that the romance in this book is beautiful! 🥹❤️ It’s dual POV so we get both Helen and Teddy’s POVs and we also happen to get flashbacks to a year ago. The flashbacks and the current day seamlessly fit together so well and I honestly couldn’t put it down because it was so good! 😍
If you love romance books, forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine, dual POV, fake dating, and a book that is perfect for the holiday season then this is the book for you! 🫶
Holiday Love is the adorable third installment in author Melissa Dymond’s Holiday Romance standalone series. It was my first Christmas book of 2025, and I truly could not have made a better choice! In the pages of this book, Dr. Helen Chu, E.R. physician, is the ultimate perfectionist. She prides herself on her excellent workplace performance, always taking great care not to appear too weird or awkward around other people. But when her friend Gwen’s brother, Teddy, is rushed in one night after a surfing accident, Helen loses her cool. If there’s one person who can get under her skin, it’s Teddy. I won’t reveal more of the plot, because all the romance fans out there need to read the book for themselves and discover every cute, funny, and thrilling moment just as unexpectedly as I did! This story kept me on my toes, yet it was simultaneously incredibly comforting and cozy. For me personally, Helen is one of the most relatable FMCs ever. What’s more, while I read the story with spice, there is also a sweet version of the book. It’s a given that I’m going to go back and read the other two books in this series before Christmas comes around. I’m so thankful to Melissa for granting me access to an advanced reader copy! The final copy arrives November 3, so mark your calendars!
Holiday Love was the perfect transition for a holiday read for me. If you love forced proximity, reverse age gap, second chance and best friends brother definitely check out this book!
Holiday Love focuses on Helen and Teddy. The two have a rocky history after they had a one night stand together a year ago during Teddy’s sister’s wedding. They shared an amazing night and the relationship never continued. Fast forward to present day when Teddy is brought into the hospital Helen works at after a surfing accident. Helen treats Teddy even though it’s against policy and it lands her in trouble.
After being discharged from the hospital with a broken leg, Helen takes Teddy to his home but determines it isn’t safe for him. So what’s the logical thing to do, then invite him to live with her obviously?!? These two have amazing chemistry right off the back and I loved the past and present flashbacks to add depth to their relationship.
Teddy brings out this relaxed and carefree side of Helen that not many people get to witness. Helen challenges Teddy to do more with his life and helps him find purpose.
I absolutely adored this book and can’t wait to read more from this author.
Thank you @melissadymondauthor and @netgalley for the advanced copy of this book.
Thank you to The Nerd Fam for the opportunity of the eARC and thank you to Dr Melissa Dymond for the gifted eARC.
"Hands on the bar. You'll need to hold on for this"
Spicy Level 🌶🌶🌶🌶
One Night Stand to full blown romance? Check. Injured MMC? Check. Insecure FMC? Check. Surfing? Check. Steam? Check. Jealous Non-ex? Check.
I loved this Holiday Romance! I loved the reflection back on their one night stand and how they come to the point in the book where they can't resist each other. Helen is a typical work focused girlie! Who bends the rules to do what she thinks is right. I adored her transition from shy and timid to actually taking everything by storm and trying new things....all thanks to Teddy. And who wouldn't love Teddy? Vulnerable after his accident, his love and compassion towards Helen grows and they end up where you want them. In the spare room, with those mirrors. Hot. I hope Jamie and Lindsey get a book because I would love to see their hate turn to love.
I marked it as a 4 as I would have love to have found out what actually happened on that beach in more detail! And Anthony's payback would have been top tier.
All in all, a great romance with spice with snow and wonder.

4.5⭐️ Thank you Netgalley and Dr Drymond for the eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was a fantastic, easy romance read and I just lapped it up! Admittedly the FMC was a doctor and that always adds extra points for me (especially the medical accuracy - chefs kiss!). Our FMC Helen has to make a choice when a one night stand she had a year ago (with her best friends brother!) on the brink of death after nearly drowning! The storyline then divulges from here with some fake dating and forced proximity and I just lapped it all up! There’s also dual POV and dual timeline to give us the nitty gritty on that night a year ago!
For the author herself - I was obsessed with all of the artwork that was sprinkled in. I also love the fact that there’s a spicy and also a sweet version if you wanted a close door romance! I ofc read the spicy version and the smut scenes were phenomenal!
A book so good I immediately bought the back catalogue of her Christmas books!
I really enjoyed this book. It had forbidden love, best friend’s brother and fake dating. All of my favourite things in one.
Helen is a super smart, dedicated doctor who falls for her patient/best friend’s brother Teddy. There’s only one thing, they hooked up last year and he ghosted her. Now they’re playing house and fake dating to keep her mam happy. Are you intrigued yet?
I loved Helen. She struggles to communicate with people and makes friends and I totally relate to that. Then you have gorgeous Teddy who is head over heels for her but she doesn’t think she is good enough for him. I loved how they both help each other grow and get past their difficulties. They compliment each other well.
The book starts with a bang and I was gripped from the start. There were some very emotional moments in this book and one chapter in particular had me sobbing my heart out.
I love that there are two versions of this book available, open door or closed door. It’s nice to have the option to include everyone. I opted for the open door version and would rate it 2 🌶️. It had some spicy scenes but they were minimally descriptive and not the focus point of the story.
Overall this was 4.5⭐️ (rounded up to 5 for Amazon & Goodreads) for me and I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.
Holiday Love is the ideal holiday romantic comedy to start my favorite season of the year, since it captures the chemistry, emotions, and love shared by two apparently opposite people. The tale of Teddy and Helen was perfect. They were a wonderful match, and the way their tale was revealed was exquisite. For the narrative that was being told, everything went smoothly. These two are actual individuals, and you cannot convince me otherwise. They seemed so plausible. Their sentiments, shortcomings, and insecurities were genuine and unadulterated. I adore them to the core. The romance and chemistry were perfect. I was captivated by the narrative and quickly devoured it. I really loved the supporting cast and everything they brought to the story.
A special thanks to the author, NetGalley, and the publisher for providing the online Advance Readers Copy (ARC). Christmas came early this year for me.
I loved this, it was a fun, heartwarming holiday fake dating romance. The chemistry and banter between Helen and Teddy was perfect. Helen was so relatable, always feeling you need to prove yourself, and that you’re weird and awkward because you get anxious and start overthinking things to say to people you don’t know well. Teddy feeling lost and like a failure who doesn’t know where he wants his life to go. The way they balanced each other, and supported each other throughout made the growth of their relationship feel real and well earned. The author handled the topic of grief, in its many stages, of loss of a parent (prior history), to parental terminal illness, in a delicate and thoughtful way, but please check TWs before reading.
Thank you to NetGalley and Melissa Dymond for the ARC of Holiday Love.
Holiday Love is the perfect light hearted holiday romance. I read it in a single day. I loved that we got to see flashbacks of Helen and Teddy when they first met throughout the story. Their relationship was adorable and it had me kicking my feet multiple times throughout. I also love that this story has no third act breakup and instead is a story on how Helen and Teddy’s relationship developed with some hurdles thrown in along the way. This is the 3rd book in a series (I have not read the other 2 yet), but it is a true standalone. You can also read this book as open door or closed door (which I love!) A perfect read if you’re looking for something festive (covering thanksgiving and Christmas!)
