dash has been on my radar for a long time but i never got around to actually reading it. when i realized it was picked up for official translation (and i saw this gorgeous cover) i dropped whatever else i was reading just to start this

and it did not disappoint. the pace was slow at the start but it did quickly pick up traction when jaekyung (the ml) showed up on page. his dynamic with jiheon is deliciousssss. its still super early but my god jaekyung is a yearner.

he’s clearly been pining away for the mc and he makes it clear to the audience that he’s horrendously down bad…but of course jiheon will not realize any of this for a long time 🙃

as much as i’m a sucker for omegaverse, sometimes it can lack flavor when the characters fall into tried & true tropes/cliche. nothing is wrong with that i do enjoy it on occasion but i was so happy this had ✨flavor✨. it might be omega/alpha pairing but even the way omegaverse is approached and introduced adds an interesting spin to things

i’ll probably end up reading ahead with the fan tl because i’m already invested with the characters so i’m too impatient to wait. absolutely yes go check this out if you like omegaverse! or even if you just want a good slow burn korean novels with interesting and well fleshed out characters

Un libro corto y ameno que más que darnos historia en sí, se siente mas como una introducción. Miparte favorita fue el final, esa “revelación” por parte de Jiheon fue lo que hizo que decidiera continuar con esta historia si se decide seguir traduciendo la obra.
Mi razón de la calificación que pongo es más que nada por los personajes. Para mí fueron algo difícil de digerir, no son naturalmente carismáticos, por un lado tenemos a JK que en bastantes ocasiones llega a ser grosero sin razón aparente y por otro lado tenemos a Jiheon que a veces se sentía como que fingía demencia con respecto a lo mucho que le interesaba JK, esos debates mentales de todo lo que JK hacía/decía y si tenían algún significado…no lo sé, tan indiferente no es jajaja.

Un aplauso al equipo de traducción, la verdad que fue muy fácil de leer y entender.
