"Because your ex is watching," he said, leaning back in his seat. "And I want him to see exactly what he lost."
Meadow Russell was supposed to get married in Vegas—to the love of her life. Instead, she walked in on her twin sister moaning on top of her fiancé.
One drink at the bar turned into ten.
One drunken mistake became her new reality.
And one stranger's offer ended in a contract sealed with trembling hands—and a diamond ring.
Alaric Ashford is the devil in a Tom Ford suit.
Billionaire. Ruthless. Possessive.
And utterly uninterested in love—until a shattered girl in a white crop top with "BRIDE" scrawled across it slurs her heartbreak and dares him to destroy what's left.
Their marriage isn't built on love.
It's forged from fury, dominance, and secrets.
Alaric wants control.
Meadow wants revenge.
And what begins as a contract quickly spirals into a dangerous obsession.
This hooked me initially - thanks a lot social media! This read more like a daydream than an actual book or coherent story. The characters didn't have any substance...and they more just-were-a certain way without actually having any grounding over WHY they were that way.
So it reads like half a story… I immediately looked up book 2 so hopefully it’ll be wrapped up there. It has a few plot tropes and is trying to sprinkle a few “50 shades..” in there but a quick entertaining read. 🌶️🌶️.5/5 peppers
False advertising on Amazon. This is NOT a complete series. I am enjoying the story very much and would continue to read just wish I didn’t go into this thinking it was complete and it’s not. Nothing I hate more than starting an incomplete series unaware.
This story continues into 2 more books. I will be purchasing them after reading this one. It is so intriguing, that I can't wait to figure out the big picture and put this puzzle together. Also has some steamy scenes and I believe it is only going to get hotter.
