This has "the" love spell and a short story about Nick and Alexa called Second Chances...and that's about it. It's very short...25 or 32 pages depending on where you check.
The love spell is very simplistic...pretty much exactly what we've read about in the prior books but I have to say it was a little weird actually seeing it in print! Too bad I'm not single, I might be tempted! ;)
When I first found this book, I was really excited to get a story about Nick and Alexa. I think they are my favorite couple! But while this story is a bit on the sad side...it has a good ending and a great message that is sure to affect any pet lover! I loved seeing Nick and Alexa still going strong after all this time and that they are both still there for each other.
It's really not necessary to read for the series...you won't miss out on anything. It's just a nice little bonus. ♥

Nick y Alexa son una de las parejas mas memorables que he leido, siempre recuerdo su historia con mucho cariño y una sonrisa enorme en mi cara, por eso quizas muchos pensaran que la puntuacion de este pequeño relato es excesiva pero a mi me conmovio muchisimo, quizas porque hace un tiempo pase por un momento duro similar al que pasa Nick en esta pequeña novela, por desgracia el mio no termino con un final feliz como el de Old Yeller, ya que hace un año perdi a mi amada mascota, la que estuvo conmigo la mitad de mi vida.
En fin, por el simple echo de hacerme llorar en tan pocas paginas se merece las cuatro estrellas, aunque no deberia sorprenderme ya que la autora siempre consigue emocionarme.

Well here we have the famous love spell and a short story about Nick and Alexa. It’s actually a story about Nick and his love for Old Yeller. I liked it. It was sentimental, sweet and very touching and we caught a glimpse of Nick’s and Alexa’s relationship through the years. I loved it.
I liked the introduction on the love spells by the author, as well.

This was a quick yet excellent read from one of my favorite series the Married to the Billionaire Series by Jennifer Probst. It was interesting to see all of the details in The Book of Spells that has created so much success in love with the characters in this series.
Alexa and Nick are my favorite of all of the couples and I loved revisiting them and seeing how life has progressed for them. They are in love as ever with the additions of two beautiful girls. I loved when we were introduced to Old Yeller in The Marriage Bargain and am a huge dog lover so of course this touched a piece of me seeing him so sick. Dogs are not just animals. They become an integral part of your family and I could feel Nick’s pain throughout this short story. This crisis brings out some of Nick’s insecurities but I am pleased to see how Alexa remains by his side and provides her strength and love to help overcome his feelings of unease.
I look forward to reading The Marriage Merger in July and all works by Ms. Probst. Another job well done!

This was a short story that explains the love spell and how to do it. They also give a dinner menu planned for seduction and it includes a recipe from the Conte family. Last is a short story about Nick and Alexa called Second Chances. I thought it was a nice enjoyable quick read!

The Book of Spells was a great addition to The Married to a Billionaire series. Jennifer Probst does an excellent job of providing the reader with all the details of the love spells from that series. It's so much fun to read and makes you want to try it out instantly! And the story that accompanies it is just amazing! It takes us deeper into the lives of Alexa and Nick who I missed so much. It was such a wonderful story - the Rainbow Bridge is something that will stay with me always and I just felt it was a perfect addition to the series. I highly recommend The Book of Spells, only if you've already read The Marriage Bargain and others in the series, but most importantly The Marriage Bargain. I can't wait for the upcoming release of The Marriage Merger, the fourth book in the series. Thank you Jennifer Probst, keep up the good work!!

A short and adorable story about Nick and Alexa. This time their old dog is sick and has to be treated, which causes Nick to go into a negative spiral. Thankfully, he has both his sister and his wife to help him out of it. There are some sexy scenes, and of course some spoilers for the other books (which I didn't mind that much).
All in all, happy I had the chance to read this one, oh and it was pretty hilarious to see that spell again, the one the girls use in this series (or at least Alexa does, I still need to read the other books).

Il passato burrascoso di Nick sembra ormai storia vecchia finché un brutto colpo torna a farlo emergere: Zanna Gialla, il cane salvato da Alexa in un canile, ormai anziano, ha un tumore e, nell’attesa dell’operazione, molti demoni del passato tornano prepotentemente alla ribalta. Riuscirà il fedele amico a salvarsi? E soprattutto riuscirà Nick a ritrovare la serenità che il dubbio di non riuscire a proteggere se stesso e i suoi cari dal dolore, gli hanno tolto?
Potrà relegare per sempre nell’oblio, i solchi che due cattivi genitori sono riusciti a scavargli nell’anima?
Per terminare questo racconto ci ho messo due ore, una per leggerlo, l’altra per asciugarmi gli occhi. Chi non ha mai avuto un cane, chi non è mai rimasto una notte ad aspettare che si svegliasse dopo un intervento, non capirà mai come questa storia possa suscitare ricordi dolceamari tanto intensi, tutti gli altri preparino scorte di kleenex.
L’indifferenza, quando non era deliberata crudeltà, con cui i genitori di Nick l’hanno cresciuto è la causa primaria del dolore che avverte quando il mondo che si è faticosamente costruito rischia di implodere e non si può non essere contagiati dal risentimento verso questa presenza maligna che aleggia nel racconto, attraverso i ricordi e i dialoghi tra il protagonista e sua sorella.
Gli incontri di passione non sono molti e nemmeno particolarmente hot, sono piuttosto come un balsamo terapeutico per una coppia che si ama in modo profondo, che sa fondersi per dare conforto e ottenere forza in un momento di crisi.
Tuttavia l’erotismo è lì, pronto ad ammiccare.

I loved The Book of Spells by Jennifer Probst, it is the official love spell from her The Marriage to a Billionaire Series. I loved reading the details about how to cast a spell to Earth Mother in the hopes of finding your Mr. Right. I especially loved catching up up Alexa and Nick, from The Marriage Bargain, and their daughters, Lily and Maria. For being a novella, it had all the things that I love in a Jennifer Probst love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. It was a wonderful love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud and the bittersweet moments that pull at my heartstrings and cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Alexa and Nick's rescue dog, Old Yeller is sick, and emotionally this takes Nick to the dark side and raises his issues with self-doubt from his past that have plagued him his entire life. I love the heart to heart conversation that Maggie shared with Nick regarding her own insecurities. I loved how his conversation with Maggie, lightened the burden on his heart. I loved all the moments in the novella that help their family cope with Old Yeller's illness and all the possible outcomes. My favorite part was Nick's conversation with Old Yeller prior to his surgery. It was truly heart wrenching. I love how Nick finally realized that he was enough, regardless of what happened to Old Yeller, because of Alexa and his daughters. I thoroughly enjoyed The Book of Spells; I highly recommend this novella.
