Appointed: Your Future Starts Now

Everyone wants to feel significant. We look for significance in our achievements, our relationships, our appearance, our socioeconomic status. But our true significance is found in none of those things.Using her experience with an abusive relationship as a backdrop, Autumn Miles acknowledges the struggles that so many women face as they pursue significance--struggles that can lead to eating disorders, self-harm, depression, and other types of oppression. Through her own story and her experience mentoring other women, Autumn shows readers that their significance is found only in Christ, and that no matter what lurks in a young woman's past or how she feels about herself, significance is obtainable--now.

I started reading this book in middle school, I believe, but I put it aside for years when I only had a few chapters left. It just kept being thrown back into my "to-finish" pile. For some reason, I could never bring myself to just give up or give it away. So, I finally finished it last week and honestly it was worth finishing. Autumn makes some good and uplifting points!

This book helped to remind me of so many of the truths I have learned over the years. Great book for anyone needing to grow in faith, or be reminded of the truths they already know. Author is authentic and backed up everything she was saying with scripture.
