TWO FRENCH ENGINEERS COLLECT AND SUMMARIZE EVIDENCE SUGGESTING GOD’S EXISTENCE
Michel-Yves Bolloré is a computer engineer; Olivier Bonnassies is an engineer and entrepreneur.
They wrote in the Preface to this 2025 book, “This book is the culmination of nearly four years of research conducted in collaboration with a team of around twenty high-level international specialists and scientists. Its objective is unique: to shed light for you on the question of the existence or non-existence of a creator God… Our hope is that at the end of this reading you will have in hand all the elements necessary to decide what seems most reasonable for you to believe.” (Pg. 19)
They observe in the first chapter, “For many people, the desire to be free and autonomous, to be able to determine their course of action entirely on their own… takes precedence over everything else… It is not surprising, then, that instead of stimulating thoughtful discussion, the subject often provokes reactions ranging from annoyed indifference to ridicule… To make our intentions perfectly clear from the outset: the purpose of this book is not to militate for a particular religion… The goal of this book is to gather into one volume the most up-to-date rational arguments for the possible existence of a creator God.” (Pg. 30-31)
They assert, “If we accept the proposition that ‘if there is nothing beyond the material universe, it cannot have had an absolute beginning’ as true, the corollary follows: ‘If the universe had an absolute beginning, then a creator exists.’ … What is remarkable today is that the question of the Universe’s beginning has become a scientific matter, supported by substantial evidence.” (Pg. 54-55)
They report, “Contrary to all the hopes and efforts of materialist scientists, it was proved in 1998 … that the expansion of the universe was not slowing down as everyone imagined, but rather accelerating. This groundbreaking discovery earned the authors the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2011… As a result, it is now difficult to support the Big Crunch hypothesis.” (Pg. 75-76)
They note that the discovery of the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation has proved the Big Bang. “Scientists of the opposition camp seemed most alarmed by the existential questions raised by the Big Bang.” (Pg. 94-95)
They contend, “In 1957, the ‘many-worlds interpretation’ attempts to explain the phenomenon of ‘wave function collapse,’ according to which… Before [a physical system] is measured, what we call ‘reality’ has an infinite number of possible states. But once we measure it, it is reduced to whatever state it had when measured. Where do the other possible states go? To resolve this difficulty, High Everett devised the many-worlds interpretation. He postulated that parallel universes are created … with each measurement, evolving independently from that point forward. The hypothesis has not been taken seriously, though the idea of parallel universes has flourished in science fiction.
They explain, “What is fine-tuning? The origin, evolution, and continued functioning of the Universe depend on around 20 parameters or constants. The values of these numbers were fixed at the moment the Universe came into being and are invariable in time and space… Where do these numbers come from? There are only two possible responses: either they are the result of chance, or they proceed from the complex calculations of a highly intelligent creator God… What would the Universe have been like if they had been even slightly different?… For some of these numbers, a very slight variation by even a distant decimal point would have yielded an unrecognizable Universe…” (Pg. 183-185)
They acknowledge, “Materialist thinkers today cling to the multiverse as their last hope. This theoretical construct… does not offer a solution to the problem of improbability posed by the fine-tuning of the Universe. All the multiverse theories in fact require processes of universe creation which must themselves be extremely fine-tuned in order to generate multiple universes, some of which would be favorable to life. In other words, the challenge posed by improbability is simply transferred to the mechanisms that generate new universes, without providing any ultimate explanation of their fine-tuning… In short, the materialist multiverse hypothesis turns out to be purely speculative and completely powerless to counter the thesis of a creator God.” (Pg. 225)
They ask, “What out-of-reach truths did the Hebrews know about the cosmos and humanity thanks to the Bible? The Hebrews knew that: *The Sun and the Moon are nothing but luminous bodies. *The Universe was created from nothing and had a beginning at a particular point in time… the Hebrews’ worldview is correct on too many points to be the result of chance… [There are also] a number of fundamental, important teachings … [that] had major real-life implications that inspired the Hebrews to adopt a way of life different to that of their neighbors, namely: *The absence of human sacrifice. *A very minimal practice of slavery. *Better conditions for women. *The condemnation of astrology and superstition.” (Pg. 341-342)
They address a number of claimed ‘errors’ in the Bible, such as: “‘*Light is created even before its source, the sun and the stars.’ [They respond] “In the early Universe … light did indeed merge from the primordial Universe about 380,000 years after the Big Bang, long before the stars existed… *‘The Bible teaches that the earth is flat.’ [They respond] “there is not a single passage in the Bible that teaches that the Earth is flat. Where it seems to do so, it is only using a common expression.” (Pg. 366-375)
They ask, “Why didn’t the high priests look for Jesus’ corpse?… It would have been so simple. An absurd charade invented by Jesus’ followers, this supposed resurrection gave them an ideal chance to put an end to the movement for good.” (Pg. 401)
They note “the enigma posed by the return of the Jews to their ancestral land… In the history of mankind, this return is perfectly unique. Nothing else comes close to it.” (Pg. 423) “Can the fate of the Jewish people be explained with a materialistic historical narrative? Is it possible that the history of the Jewish people , its endurance over millennia, its return to Palestine, the prophecies that foresaw its staggering victories in war… the reverse racism to which it has been subjected… are all attributable to historical accident, the product of human forces and chance?” (Pg. 446)
They also cite a number of witness/newspaper accounts, supporting the ‘Miracle of the Sun’ at Fatima. “That a major event did occur and was seen by everyone, even if what exactly happened remains to be decided… to our knowledge, no one who witnessed the scene directly claimed to have seen nothing at all.” (Chapter 21, pg. 472)
This book (which was originally published in France in 2021) is a good compilation of ‘scientific’ evidence for God.

Just incredible.
Over the past several years, my passion, dedication, and desire to read have essentially been the keystone of my life. Not just non-fiction, science, and evidence-based literature, but also fiction-based novels about crime, drama, and deep, meaningful stories.
As a father to three wonderful sons, two of whom are autistic, I have asked myself many times, "If God exists, then why my sons?" As I am also autistic, my mind battles like two enemies constantly at war. Which side wins? That is very difficult to answer. So why am I sharing this, and what value does it have in my review? Quite simply, my mind is driven by a strong relationship with logic. Whether scientific or philosophical, the facts always prevail.
This book has provided me with the evidence to answer a question I have been asking for years. However, it is up to each reader to determine their answer based on the information presented in this exceptional work.
This is the greatest book I have ever read. The author's work, research, investigations, and commitment to delivering, as scientifically as possible, an answer to humankind's biggest question are incredible. Soon, I plan to begin my PhD journey, not out of necessity but out of a desire to use scientific research and fact-based data to prove a theory that could transform a high-risk international industry. With three degrees, two at Master's level, all achieved with first-class honours, and supported by two Academic Achievement Awards, I am in awe of the authors' effort and unwavering dedication. This work has renewed my commitment to my PhD.
Finally, the chapter on Fatima: life-changing.

The question about God can be answered two ways, He either exists or he doesn’t. You’re a believer or an atheist. Being an agnostic isn’t really a third answer. It’s a non answer. If you’re an atheist I doubt this book will convince you. The first half is an interesting overview of the scientific and biological confirmations that the universe and matter couldn’t just happen by chance. There had to be a creator. A tornado can’t go swirling through a scrap yard and a Boeing 747 come out the other end. Yes, I firmly believe in a creator. The second half of the book shouldn’t have been written. It’s silliness. The second half almost made me an atheist. I received this book as a gift. Don’t buy it. I’ll give you my copy.
