This was such an incredible story highlighting mental health issues that are so rarely represented in MMCs. No, but for real I was rooting for this man like so hard………how can you fault the guy who just wanted to be a dad!!!!!!!

Book two in this dark romance DDlg series and WOW. Kate said “let me outdo myself real quick,” and she absolutely did. Xander and Quinn’s chemistry was off-the-charts delicious — like can’t-stop-reading, need-a-glass-of-water levels of good. And the smut? Straight-up FIRE. Alarms. Sirens. Sprinklers. 🔥

Quinn has officially claimed the title of my favorite little from any of Kate’s books. Her sass? Top tier. Her heart? Huge. Her loyalty? Unmatched. She’s the kind of character you root for with your whole chest.

And Xander… tall, tattooed, possessive Daddy energy? Say less. He was perfection wrapped in ink and attitude.

I absolutely adored the way this book highlighted mental health — real struggles, real emotions, and handled with so much care. It added so much depth to the characters and to the story.

This book was just so fun, so spicy, and so easy to devour. I loved every second.

I have been waiting for Xander’s story and it did not disappoint. Xander truly is a heartbroken cinnamon roll who has a hard time dealing with his trauma. Like my heart truly broke for him. But when he finally got to be with Quinn it was like he was starting to feel alive. While Quinn my beautiful darling has been through hell but still remains a ball of sunshine🥺. I truly love her personality and how she always made others feel safe around her. Also lemme get into their smit scenes because it was sexy I enjoyed the daddy kink idk🤭.I am truly happy they were able to get their happy ending and I can’t wait for the rest of the brothers’ books!

WOOOWEE THIS BOOK. I thought I loved Cash Savage but Xander - woof. The man's face is next to obsessive in the dictionary. I was also so so happy to see Cash + Jordyn in this book and I loved the friendship between Jordyn and Quinn. It felt so real and I loved seeing Quinn get all the support from her found family!

I really liked the way Xander’s healing process unfolded, and it really helped solidify his character for me. We love consistent men!

I read this book in 1 day - it was fun, spicy, and just the right amount of unhinged (a lot). I loved it and can't wait for the other Savage brothers' books!

okay anywayyyy... so i actually like this a lot more than book 1! the "daddy" kink still isn't my favorite thing, although clearly i don't mind reading about it that much lol. but i do find it pretty unrealistic that the entire Savage family shares the same specific kink. whatever, i guess reading these kinds of books does force you to suspend your disbelief anyway.

with that out of the way, let me just say that this was way more emotional than i was expecting (in a good way). Quinn dealt with SO much in this book, but it didn't take away from her sunshine demeanor. she wasn't naive or stupid, just determined to still be a positive and happy person despite everything that had been thrown at her throughout her life. i was so proud of her standing up for herself in the end, which ultimately pushed Xander to heal and become the man he needed to be in order to keep her. speak of the devil, Xander was also surprisingly soft underneath his very gruff exterior. he also has been through quite a bit of shit before ever even meeting Quinn. this story and the grief and struggles both MC's had to work through was raw in a way that endeared them to me from the start.

this one was nowhere near as mafia-heavy as the first book, but still filled with plenty of things to keep the plot interesting and fast paced without seeming too unbelievable.

Quinn is a ray of sunshine, working 3 jobs, paying her mom's outstanding bills and struggling to even afforded a decent meal, all that with a smile.
Xander dealing with his own demons, heart broken from being scammed by a gold digger. add to that his dad was murdered not too long ago, so he turned to alcohol to find solace.

When they meet, Xander can't help but fall for Quinn. he obsess over her, now his main plan is to make sure she is taking care of.

Quinn with her outgoing personality, and her line of work ( she is a bartender at the Savage entertainments ) she attract all kind of evil men. But don't you worry my Man Xander Savage will make sure they are all 6ft under lol

This was a raw story, real daily struggles, the way real people deal with grieve, with abandonment, the weight of what society except of a parent child relationship.

I loved this story so much, a HUGE THANK YOU to Kate and Smuthood PR for this ARC.

Book 2 in the savage sins series and it was pure delish😍

Kate said let me out do myself from book one and she absolutely did! I loved this story and her writing. Xander and Quinn’s chemistry was delicious and the spice was spicingggggg🔥🔥

Xander is grief stricken and drowning in darkness when he meets Quinn, a struggling woman working three jobs and who’s been through a lot of trauma. There intense attraction leads to an obsessive romance. Xander is tall, tattooed, possessive, and gives daddy energy. He was lit perfection wrapped up in ink. Quinn is now one of my top FMC’s, her sass, heart and loyalty is unmatched. I loved the way he loved and took care of her.

I loved how Kate highlighted mental health, trauma, and real struggles. It just added so much depth to these characters. I love the found family and how Quinn and Jordan instantly became besties💜 Loved this book! 5⭐️Can’t wait for the next brother!

This one was different than the rest of Kate’s Daddy Dom books, but still so freaking beautiful. This one hit me hard with the combination of both Xander and Quinn’s traumatic pasts. It took so much for these two to finally come together and they continued to fight it throughout the entire book. This one was not a fast paced I’m your Daddy and your my babygirl this was I want to but I’m too traumatized to let myself fully give into you and it made it so much better. I cried so hard for these two throughout the entire book because neither on of them deserved the disgusting crap they went through, but could not move past. I feel like this book will hold the most beautiful place in my heart as neither Xander nor Quinn would have found each other and the safety they found together if they did not have the beginnings they did. Their chemistry was absolutely burning and once they gave into it, it made for the sexy spicy scenes ever!!! I loved this one and I feel like this is one I will definitely pick up again specifically because it shows you can find happiness even when you’re not looking after going through a traumatic experience!!

I freaking loved this book. Xander was obsessive, protective and possessive but who cares when he makes Quinn his whole world.

The perfect storyline that was unexpectedly emotional 🥹.

I went into this thinking it was smutty daddy kink and it was, but it was also a journey of healing for both characters. Xander and Quinn just had so much love for each other and they slotted together like two puzzle pieces.

Savage Obsession really throws you into the deep end from page one. Poor Xander, the man is already talking about putting a bullet in his head, drowning in whiskey, and making every possible bad decision (including the giant “absolutely not” of drinking and driving). I knew immediately he was going to be a lot.

Quinn, meanwhile, is out here talking to her cactus, juggling three jobs, and trying to take care of her mom in recovery. She’s soft and sweet but also tougher than she looks, and I loved her for that. And honestly? Some of her storyline hit way too close to home, especially the stuff with her mom. The guilt, the grief, the “why wasn’t I enough?” spiral… I felt all of that with her.

Their chemistry is chaotic in a way that somehow works. Quinn bossing Xander around had me smiling, and Xander immediately deciding to buy the bar she was fired from was hilarious in that over-the-top possessive romance way. And the brothers? Loved them. Cash telling Xander it felt like they were losing him too genuinely hurt. Trey and Jordyn were standouts, especially Jordyn refusing to let Xander drink and drive (THANK YOU).

The only downside for me is that some conversations between Quinn and Xander felt repetitive, like they kept circling the same emotional ground. And the ending with the ex came off a bit rushed, I wanted more fallout or tension there.

Still, for my first Kate Oliver book, I enjoyed it. The found family pieces were great, and Quinn’s growth, especially standing up to Xander about the drinking, made me root for her the whole way through. I’ll definitely go back and read Jordyn and Cash’s book next.

When a misdelivered check lands at his door, he does the decent thing and takes it to its rightful owner. He doesn’t expect a curvy and gorgeous Quinn Summers to open the door, shining the first spark of light he’s seen in a long time.

Quinn is hustling to keep her bills paid and her mother cared for. After a brutal breakup her life is nothing but work and exhaustion. So, when her mysterious neighbor shows up with the check, she’s been desperate for she’s more than grateful. He’s magnetic and his presence impossible to ignore and though she knows better she can’t resist the pull. One kind gesture turns into dinner, marking the beginning of embers between them catching fire.

This Daddy Kink/Age Gap romance is pure indulgence. Xander is ruthless in the world and unflinching in his protection, but with Quinn he’s both punisher and worshipper. Discipline wrapped in devotion.

The Savage brothers live rent free in my head and I’m already counting down to the next book in the series.

I genuinely enjoyed this book.
Xander and Quinn were truly adorable. The way that Quinn broke down the barriers that Xander put up and held him accountable towards the end was honestly, strong girl shit.
Xander was the perfect blend of unhinged and soft. The love he immediately felt for Quinn upon first meeting her was just feet kicking adorable.

I do feel as though there were continuity issues where things/timelines didn’t really add up or make sense. However, I am also dyslexic and I was speeding through the pages of this book because I just wanted to see Quinn get the daddy she deserved.

I also truly enjoyed the banter between the brothers. Getting extra glimpses into Jordyn and Cash’s continued relationship was also just a pleasant cherry on top.

Overall, I think Xander is my fav Savage (for now).

This book, this story….its beautiful. It’s about healing and forgiveness. It’s about not giving up when times are at their hardest. Keeping family close.

Kate Oliver can’t write a bad book. I read everything she writes and I read them again and again and again. They’re my comfort reads. So when I get a new book to add to my rotation…instant joy.

This is Book 2 of her Savage Sins series and we have seen and met Xander a couple times by now. I believe we first meet him in her Syndicate Kings series. Ronan’s book. 🥵 I love that series so much. And then of course we meet him in Cash’s book, which is Book 1 of Savage Sins series. These 4 brothers recently lost their dad. Prior to that devastating loss, Xander experienced ultimate betrayal by his girlfriend at the time. His ex-girlfriend now. That broke something in him and he was not coping well and muting his pain and feelings with whiskey. Too much of it.

His life is instantly altered when he and Quinn have a meet-cute in their apartment building. He can’t stop thinking about her and can’t stay away. She quiets the storm raging in him. And she can’t stop thinking about the muscly, tattooed, grumpy, but so damn sexy man that randomly delivered mail he accidental received. He makes her feel safe for the first time. He ‘sees’ her and cares for her. Instant chemistry.

He saves her. She saves him. They have both experience trauma and loss in the past. They are helping to heal each other in ways they don’t understand. I laughed. I cried. I had to fan myself several times. 🥵🥵🥵 Seeing Quinn and Jordyn form that bond together- AH I LOVE IT.

Okay so another thing I LOVE about Kate’s books (I love so many things about her books tbh) is that we see little Easter eggs of her other series in the midst. Like Caspian from Dark Ops Daddies. I’m excited for his book. Oh and the little nod to the girls’ makeup line in the Syndicate Kings. Love it!!

Anyway. Enough rambling. Go read this book but I suggest reading Cash’s book first, Savage Revenge, for the best experience.

Added this to the my tbr solely based off the daddy kink and I ate it up. Xander is a daddy in all forms and I loved him. He’s so possessive and obsessed with Quinn and I love that kind of energy in a MMC. Plus, Quinn is so sweet but not afraid to show a feisty side and I love that for her! The tension between these two is intense, but I also love how this book showcased the more vulnerable and emotional side, especially in regards to their mental health and past trauma.

Great read! Definitely not what I was expecting in the best ways!!
This book was a lot more emotional than I thought it be, both with pasts that haunt them and having a hard time moving on from those traumas. There was angst, banter, delicious spice and to top it off a great family.

If you like your book boyfriends protective, a bit unhinged and a total red flags then this book’s for you! But also if you’re looking for a couple that help each move past their traumas, in whatever way they decide(😉please see above 🚩) look no further!

I devoured this book in one sitting, ONE 😭📚 And somewhere between chapter one and Xander losing his mind over Quinn, I gained a brand-new Daddy. Xander Savage… ohmahfuckinggawd 😮‍💨🔥 The man is a walking bundle of red flags, trauma, obsession, and violence and I still fell headfirst in love.

The way he cares for Quinn? So damn sweet 🥺 and then immediately feral. He takes “touch her and ☠️” literally and I couldn’t get enough 😭🔥.

Quinn brings out this soft, desperate side of him, the broken, rage-filled man suddenly breathing because of his sunshine girl ☀️🖤 Their connection is messy, intense, and addictive. I couldn’t stop reading.

I'm totally swooning over here! I don't know what it is about the daddy energy Xander gives off, but I'm here for it!

I loved Quinn and how hard she was trying to make things work. She had such a big heart and I loved that Xander swooped in to give her what she needed! It was the perfect grumpy x sunshine story!

Xander's history tugged at my heart strings and I loved seeing him get closer to his family again. The closeness of the Savage brothers is one of my favorite things about the series and I can't wait for more!

This is book two in the Savage Sins series, and it was perfection.

Xander is dealing with the grief of losing his father and isn't handling it well. He's angry, he is working too much, and drinking too much. He's slowly pulling away from his brothers because the loss of his dad is really hard for him.

Quinn is single and working three jobs to help pay for her mother's care. Her mother always chose men and drugs over her growing up. Even though her mother was never there for her she feels responsible to provide for her group home care since she cannot live on her own due to the damage from the drugs.

When Xander and Quinn meet he realizes she needs someone to take care of her, but she's feisty and strong and stubborn. She won't be in a relationship with someone who has a substance problem. Together they navigate this difficult journey of grief, loneliness, and getting healthy.

ARC Review of Savage Obsession Book 2 of the Savage Sins Series by Kate Oliver. This book is part of an interconnected series but can be read as a standalone. I don’t have enough words to say how obsessed I am with the Savage brothers and this series it's one of my favorites. This book is definitely a 5 star read for me. I absolutely loved this book, I couldn’t put it down there was never a dull moment. An unhinged, protective, obsessed, morally grey mmc who only wants to take care of her is my absolute favorite kind of MMC and Xander does not disappoint he is the best, throw in his daddy kink and his stalking tendencies and I’m in love even with all his red flags. Those spicy scenes are fire. Aside from the spice I also love the depth, and emotion in this book even though unhinged at times I love that it’s about healing from your demons and personal growth and finding the person that makes you want to be the best version of yourself. Quinn has gone through a lot throughout her life with having a drug addict for a mom. Xander has been through a lot as well being screwed over royally by his ex and then with his fathers death. They both have been hurt and have walls up. Xander doesn’t trust anyone except his family after what happened it has hardened him. Quinn is so strong and independent even with everything she’s been through she is still so sweet and bubbly and tries to see the best in people. There wasn’t suspense and mystery in this book like the first one this was more straight forward and about them finding each other and being together, healing, the daddy kink and how he will protect her at any costs and kill anyone who’s ever hurt her and I absolutely loved it, I loved reading every bit of their unhinged beautiful love story. This is a 16 year age gap, neighbors, morally grey mmc, grumpy/sunshine, stalker, daddy kink, he falls immediately and hard, curvy fmc, spicy, slow burn, dark vegas romance. This is Quinn and Xander’s story. Xander Savage is 40 and he runs Savage Entertainment with his 3 brothers in Las Vegas. Quinn is 24 she lives in the same apartment building as Xander and works at 3 of the Savages Casinos. Xander and Quinn first meet when he drops off her mail that was accidentally delivered to him, he falls for her instantly when he first meets her she is attracted to him too and doesn’t realize at first who he is and that he’s her boss. Xander has demons and trust issues from his ex. He’s afraid he can’t fully love Quinn because he’s broken but she is his sunshine and helps heal his heart and he is her Daddy and protects her and makes her feel safe. There is no third act breakup which I love I hate break ups but there is a third act separation while Xander works on himself. I love Quinn and Xander and love that they found each other and got their HEA. I highly recommend this book

One of her best yet!

I don’t even know where to start. I went through a whirlwind of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I swooned and I raged. This book was one of the best I’ve read all year and hands down one of the best stories Kate Oliver has ever written. The depth and the obsession. I’m hands down in love with Daddy Xander. I can’t get over how complex and truly human he felt. Quinn was a wonderful opposite to him. She’s bubbly and sweet but has a fierce and dangerous streak to her. She takes absolutely no nonsense and may be as unhinged as Xander. I literally could not put this book down. It’s currently 2:30 in the morning and I ha a to be at work in less than 7 hours.

I couldn’t believe I was selected as an advance reviewer. It’s been a dream for a while and Ms. Oliver is one of my favourites. But to be given this honour meant that I truly had to dive deep into this story. My gosh it didn’t disappoint. One of my favourite parts was a special cameo (I won’t spoil it) but I couldn’t stop giggling. When the ride share driver’s name is revealed I laughed until I wheezed because it was soooooo him. I love this book also because it evoked so many emotions. It deals with heavy subjects like addiction and the point of view used for the day’s apart was so unexpected yet pure. I expected to watch one character fall apart when in reality we witness the one left behind and just how devastating and tragic substance abuse is. It affects everyone around the person as well.

While I think Cash is absolutely diabolically insane I think Xander has him beat hands down and I am here for it.

I know I’m raving but I haven’t felt this great finishing a book in years. And I hesitate to say I feel great. I’m heartbroken that I finished this book so quickly because now I have to wait for a new release but I’m definitely going to be rereading this book. I highlighted my favourite parts and cannot wait to go back and revisit them.

Xander is an excellent daddy and ultimately he just wants to make Quinn happy. I cannot wait to read more about the Savages and their empire. And I cannot wait to read about our special guest star cameo and hope to see that book coming soon. Thank you Kate Oliver for delivering a captivating, romantic, unhinged, spicy and delightful journey. You outdid yourself!

This was my first read by Kate Oliver, and it will absolutely NOT be my last. I’m already grabbing book one because I need every drop of Savage Sin chaos this family delivers.

Savage Obsession is book two in the series, and wow, Kate Oliver came in swinging. This story throws trauma, deceit, addiction, grief, obsession, and healing at you all at once… but it also gives you the kind of chemistry that practically hums off the page.

Xander and Quinn? Electric. Addicting. Tender and filthy and heart-squeezing all in one breath.

Xander is the exact brand of broken, broody, grief-soaked danger I love, older, protective, spiraling in his own pain, yet so obsessively devoted once Quinn crashes into his life. He’s the “burn down the world for you, then tuck you into bed” type of man. And the way he is SUCH. A. DADDY. for Quinn??? I bow down.

Quinn is pure sunshine trying to survive the storm, hard childhood, toxic ex, nonstop struggle, and yet she still shines. She sees Xander for who he is beneath all that hurt, and she believes in him even when he can’t believe in himself. Their dynamic is everything: obsessive, healing, chaotic, grounding, and impossibly hot.

The emotional weight is real. I read this while listening to Kate’s playlist and became a complete mess. Xander’s trauma, Quinn’s resilience, the push and pull between them, it all hit so hard. They complement each other perfectly. Quinn lights up Xander’s darkness, and Xander gives Quinn the love and devotion she’s never had.

Kate Oliver’s storytelling is powerful, immersive, and addictive. The Savage boys are absolutely unhinged in the best way, and with two more to go, I already know book three is going to wreck me.

Savage Obsession is the second book in the Savage Sins series. Xander is dealing with betrayal, anger, and depression. On top of that, his father is recently killed, and the only way he numbs the pain is by drinking. He’s starting to drink a lot more thinking it could just quiet the voices and make him forget and not feel anything. Until he meets Quinn. He loves his brothers. He’s very loyal to them. However, Quinn just makes him feel something for the first time in a while. All he wants to do is protect her and fix anything wrong in her life. Will, she let him or will he give her no choice?

Quinn is a warm hearted, kind, and sweet woman. She is barely making ends meat. She’s working three jobs and trying to help her mother, who is recovering in a rehab facility. Everything she has gone through hasn’t broken her. She still tries to live her life with a smile and she’s a friendliest person to come across. When she meets Xander, she is smitten with the tattooed gorgeous man. She knows he’s trouble in the form of a broken and lost soul. She can’t help but feel a pull toward him. She knows he’s struggling because she can see it. However, their chemistry is intense. Will she walk away or ignore all those flags staring at her?

Kate Oliver made me feel so sad for Xander and Quinn. Both characters deal with trauma. Xander is drowning his sorrows constantly thinking about his father‘s murder while Quinn is trying to make ends meet to stay afloat. I love that Xander has his family standing behind him and trying to help him. Also, with everything that Quinn goes through, she doesn’t let it deter her from keeping one foot in front of the other. Her genuine character attracts Xander so much. Their scenes were so hot and I loved seeing all the Savage brothers together. This is definitely an emotional roller coaster. It is filled with heat, angst, drama, heartbreak, and action. So excited for the next one.

**Yes, Please!**

"Savage Obsession" is the second book in the Savage Sins series. I thought I had fallen for the first Savage brother, but then I met Xander. He knows Quinn should stay away from him because he is damaged and too broken for someone as good-hearted, sweet, and pure as she is. However, after meeting Quinn, he can't stay away. His instinct to protect her and desire to hurt anyone who has wronged her in the past are incredibly strong.

Together, they create an intense connection and are truly perfect for one another. Quinn breathes new life into Xander, who thought he had lost it. In return, Xander opens up new worlds for Quinn. But Quinn is a strong and sassy independent woman. Even though it breaks her heart, she isn't afraid to stand up to her “Daddy” and tell him that he needs to get help, or she will walk away. She puts herself first above his addiction, forcing him to take a long, hard look at himself.

This makes Quinn a total badass and brave for doing what she must. Xander becomes an even more swoon-worthy partner by listening to her and seeking the help he needs, not just for her sake but for his own, making me fall even harder for him. I already loved this series and its characters, but I fell in love even more with this installment because the author has truly crafted a world of complex fictional characters who experience real, raw emotional struggles in everyday life.

The connections with family and loved ones, and how they handle their journeys, are beautifully portrayed, complete with plenty of spicy daddy kinks and mafia drama. It's the kind of fantasy we wish we could live out in real life but can only read about. Now, I can’t wait for the next Savage brother to find the woman who will steal his heart and lead him to his happily ever after!

My Thoughts 💭

Where do I start Quinn is fierce she is loyal she has been through the ringer in her life and she is working three different jobs which just so happens to be her neighbors clubs, which introduces you to Xander one of the Savage Brothers now he is very wounded he is very distraught over losing his father and also he can't get over his past relationship rightfully so.

Now many of you are trying to figure out how do these two from totally different worlds meet but yet haven't met before now so it's amazing what one little piece of mail can do 😏

I'm going to say this Kate writes emotional romances that have very strong trigger warnings but this book goes beyond I feel like any other book she written and the way that she does it it is so empowering but yet also so raw with that being said check your trigger warnings because they're not something to just jump into.

I love the push and pull between Xander and Quinn I also love how both of them are trying to find their self worth but also trying to get out of the perception of others and I think a big thing in this book is learning to put yourself before others.

I had several moments in this book where I balled my eyes out but then I had moments where I was enraged for the characters and what they had to go through by the hands of other people.

I also feel like you get a very good snippet of Side characters and more about them, attention to detail is something you really want to pay attention to because it helps you see into the mind of each of them especially because of the different things they both are going through.
