We adored the characters we encountered in the story. Weaver was a charming character, compassionate, kind, and lovable. Eddy, on the other hand, was a spirited character, brave, kind, and loving with a wicked sense of humor. We were smitten with her from the moment we met her. Eddy's sister and Weaver's daughter also added a delightful dynamic to the story.

The plot was rich with elements of mystery, suspense, secrets unraveling, unexpected twists, love, laughter, and healing. Eddy truly shines as the central figure in the story. Despite facing challenges, she displays remarkable courage and resilience. She remains strong, brave, and optimistic, prioritizing the safety and well-being of Weaver's daughter amidst the turmoil.

The unexpected revelations will keep you engaged and intrigued. In conclusion, we felt that Weaver made a perfect choice in Eddy as a partner, and after enduring past hardships, he deserved some happiness. The blessings he received throughout the story warmed our hearts. We thoroughly enjoyed the story and found it captivating.

Not A Side Chick was packed full of entertainment, drama, suspense and secrets. Weaver and Eddy had a chemistry that lit up every page and the connection to these characters grabs hold of you tight. Their story keeps you on the edge of your seat and takes you on such a ride that you just can't put this book down. The storyline is unique and one that at times has you holding your breath. I loved the banter between Weaver and Eddy and that these two would stand beside the other in support no matter what. The heat between them was electric and I loved that Weaver reassured her of her beauty. Eddy was a strong character, one that had been through so much and I loved that she stood behind her morals no matter the outcome for her own safety. If you are looking for a book that has a little bit of everything, then look no further because their story has it all and then some.

I couldn't put this book down and I loved Weaver so much, he felt so much guilt about his past. He left his life to start anew. Eddy and Nettie kept me cracking up, I loved them so much... perfect sisters. There you add Bossy in the mix of this crazy pants family and you have a perfect storm. This story had everything and more, I loved reading every word, comma, period and exclaimation mark! Lani Lynn Vale blew me away and I want more. This series is so great and I am loving all these bent not broken men and the crazy women who take them on.

I think this was my favourite! I loved Eddy and Weaver, well especially Eddy! she was Kicka** I devoured this in an evening as I could NOT PUT IT DOWN

Eddy is seriously feisty and so damn strong considering what she is put through and I love the Weaver steps up straight away and is there for her no questions considering they have just met! Weaver is seriously SWOONWORTHY!!!

I have loved all of Lani's books but this one has fast become my favourite. I cannot wait to see how the rest of this series plays out.

Weaver is one of the convicted felon’s that escaped but he didn’t do it willingly. Montana is a far cry from Florida. He meets Eddy when she encounters secrets that need to be outed.

“I think you’re going to be someone that changes my life, Eddy Wheeler.”

A preachers daughter and a ex con. What a combination. Eddy is independent and sassy.

Eddy was my light in the darkness. The one person who didn’t judge me.

There was so much crazy going on in this high octane story that you really can’t put it down once you start. This series just keeps getting better. A little more intense than previous series which doesn’t hurt my feelings a bit.

Vale refuses to put damsels in distress. I love that. Eddy is a courageous warrior with the determination to make a difference and the heart to back it up. She doesn't need to be rescued, she wants to be seen.  Weaver is the bad boy she never saw coming, yet has come to realize, she can't live without. Not a Side Chick is a battle of souls that breaks the heart wide open and leaves a hauntingly, fierce impression.

Weaver and Eddy!
Man I feel for Eddy, after finding out about her parents and then making a plan to get them caught but nothing goes as planned when she gets hurt. And who's there in the hospital to see her? Weaver!
I loved Weaver so much, he was put in such a tough spot and he really thought he deserved to be In prison.
I loved the relationship he had with his daughter too.
I can't wait for the next one!

Oh my the chemistry and drama! So good!

Lani Lynn Vale knows how to write intriguing, interesting and thrilling books that have me on the edge of my seat and craving more. Always.

She also excels at writing relatable and interesting characters that I can't get enough of...and the chemistry/spice...YES. So so so good!

This was another amazing Lani read. I will never get enough of her books. Never.

This book was kind of crazy at times, but I loved every page of it. Weaver was amazing and loving, while Eddy was her own person and wouldn't anything or anyone mess with her or her sister. This book had some dramatic moments, but it wasn't overrun with drama. I loved and can't wait for the next book.
