My life is a blur of asphalt and regret, the highway my only refuge from a past that’s bruised and bloody.
By day, I crash in dingy motel rooms, chasing sleep that never comes.
By night, I drive, picking up strangers for fleeting trysts that keep the ghosts at bay.
But then I meet wild-eyed and dangerous.
One night should’ve been enough, but Seven’s touch lingers like a brand, promising something I’m too broken to name.
SEVEN
I’m running from the echoes of cult hymns that still claw at my mind.
Freedom came with a the body of a man in the trunk of my car.
My mother always said I was a lost cause with a pretty face.
She was right.
I hustle my body to survive.
But then I meet Noah.
One look, one spark, and a carefully buried hunger roars to life.
TOGETHER
We’re two fractured souls on a collision course, our meeting a lit match in a world soaked with gasoline.
We could burn it all down.
But when our ghosts catch up to us, will we save each other or become the wreckage that’s left behind?
Dark. Tender. Explosive. Broken Highway is a high-heat MM romance packed with emotion, suspense, and two incredibly broken men doing incredibly destructive things. Toss your bags in the trunk, fasten your seatbelt, and get ready for a road trip like no other. Through darkness, there is light, and the sun always rises on the other side.
Broken Highway is the first novel in a series of standalones. Each book can be read independently, as they are connected only by theme.
What a ride. The story of Seven and Noah is an unforgettable blend of heat, heartbreak, and healing. Their journey unfolds with gripping intensity—layered with tragic shadows from the past and raw, emotional discoveries in the present. Logan Rivers masterfully weaves these complex threads into a high-stakes road trip that’s as much about survival as it is about redemption. The final third of the book nearly had me screaming out loud—it’s that powerful. Logan had me glued to the pages, heart pounding, riding every twist and turn like I was right there with the characters. And the ending? Perfection. It gave me all the closure I craved and left me breathless in the best way. If you’re craving a dark MM romance that punches you in the gut and then soothes your soul, this one’s a must-read. It's packed with emotion, sizzling chemistry, and a plot that never lets go.
Quotes: “Boy, you better get that pretty mouth on my fucking dick right now before I throw you back onto that asphalt.” “Talk dirty to me.” “I just fucking did.”
Sucks the life from me until there’s nothing left and I’m spent beneath the shadow of the crucifix. This is the closest to God I’ve ever felt. The closest I’ll ever get to him. The closest I’ll ever get to heaven.
The muscles in my arm tense as I try to hold myself upright, but it’s a difficult chore when there’s a literal God plowing me from behind.

I simply couldn't resist the premises of this one - two broken boys on the run from their pasts and endless stretches of dark, mostly empty highways? Count me in!
Noah and Seven had both been through a lot, and it was easy to feel for them. They were intriguing characters, both running from their pasts and handling their past traumas the best they could. Their pasts and reasons were very vague initially, and even if things did become clearer throughout the story, I couldn't help but wish that there would have been a little more clear and detailed from the beginning.
I enjoyed the connection between Noah and Seven, they both felt a pull towards each other but didn't want to acknowledge it at first. They had a lot in common, and even if things quickly got physical between them, the feelings were more of a slow burn. They had to fight hard for their HEA, to the point where I even had to double check that there was one coming.
It was a story full of pain and trauma, and while I was very happy and relieved to see Noah and Seven being safe and happy in the epilogue, the ending felt a little rushed. I felt like some of the events were glossed over and wrapped up just a little too quickly and neatly, and after close to 300 pages of trauma and grit, I needed a bit more happiness and answers than I got here.
Broken Highway was an intriguing read, it was raw and gritty, with an air of mystery and suspense to it. I enjoyed Noah and Seven's journey, and it was easy to get intrigued by these boys and their attempt to escape their ghosts.
- I received an advanced copy of this book, and these are my honest thoughts and opinions.
If this is Logan Rivers' debut book, I'm excited to see what's next because this was a great read. It was dark, but the trigger warnings tell you everything, so be sure to read them first.
Noah and Seven, two remarkable survivors, are fleeing the traumas of their past, seeking solace and a new beginning. When Noah offers Seven a ride on that dark and winding road, he sets the stage for a profound and life-altering encounter, where Seven's love and light will guide Noah toward a brighter tomorrow, and Seven, in turn, will find an unshakeable bond with Noah, one that will empower him to merge his life with Noah's, together rising above the ashes of their past, reborn and renewed.
This book is an incredible debut from the author. From loveable, relatable characters, to fast paced action and adventure, to heat and spice, and to a burning love that finds these characters when they need it most.
Broken Highway follows two characters, both running from the trauma of their past, both using their bodies to survive, and both searching for something that they didn’t believe they could ever hope to have.
Noah has been driving on the road in circles, aimlessly moving through the motions, one sexual encounter and nighttime drive at a time. We learn of his past, and how it has broken him and his will to survive. He’s struggling to stay afloat, and doesn’t see a future for himself, doesn’t see a point in wanting one. He finds himself with hook ups every night, chasing the demons from his mind, until it’s time to drive off again and repeat the next night.
Seven is fleeing a past in a cult, having left his sister behind, hoping to find peace one day, but ultimately knowing his time will soon be up. He is a sex worker, utilising his body for his own gain, looking after himself alone because there is nobody to do it for him. He is young, but not naive, and you can see the lust for life is there in his eyes, if only he can find a way to keep it within his grasp.
When these two meet, there is heat and it is scorching. They instantly find pleasure in each other, but know their time together is short-lived. But except maybe, what if this time, they can choose to keep it?
I found this book to be so authentic to the queer experience, and also authentic to my own experience of dealing with trauma. The author paints their trauma in such a casual lens, where you hurt for these men and the way the world has treated them, but there is humour and lightness to their interactions, showing us that these characters are more than just their histories.
There are dark subject matters in this book that I won’t go into with much detail, but check the TWs because they’re all there! But the way this book handles that darkness, instead of this being a morbid book of broken hearts and shattered souls, the author shows us that Noah and Seven have more inside of them. They have whit, and charisma, they have snarky exchanges and passion, they have attitude and anger, and they have a desire to hold onto those brief moments where maybe life isn’t so bad after all, and maybe there is more to each other that draws them together than apart.
I was instantly consumed by this book. We got characters that ate at your heartstrings, adventure that pulled you so into the story that you couldn’t bring yourself away without anxiously wondering “but what will happen next?!”, and we got a well-fought-for HEA.
I’m so excited to see where this author takes us next, with the second instalment in the Cult Boys series. This debut was thought provoking, soulful, somber and melancholic, but it was also so fun and warm, and my heart felt all of the things, and more!
** Thank you so much to Gay Romance Reviews for the ARC **
“Broken Highway” is a heart-wrenching story about Noah and Seven, both men plagued by their past and the crimes committed by others that shattered their minds and their hearts.
Noah just keeps driving without ever stopping. He’s been driving and running from his past. He stops only to rest sometimes and to have encounters with other men. Seven is running from a cult. He uses his body to make money and to pay for things.
Unlike Seven, Noah feels disgusted when a man offers him money after their encounter. He burns the bill and refuses to take money from something he has pleasure with. When Noah accidentally finds Seven on the road, the two start an odd relationship. Seven is highly sexual and Noah cannot resist him, but sex is one thing, feelings are a different subject and their past too damaged both men to feel anything good. They lust for each other, but feelings are more complicated. Especially since none of them knew any kindness from their parents. Seven was part of a cult, and Noah’s mom sold him to other men. Their relationship is toxic, it’s dangerous, but Noah treats Seven like a person, with kindness, while Seven, by being the same as Noah, understands his darkness.
“Broken Highway” has a very cute, happy ending for such dark content. It is beautiful, sometimes painful, but in the end they find a way for Noah to stop driving and for Seven to be happy.
This book broke me and then carefully, beautifully put me back together. It’s dark, heavy, and full of emotional weight, but it’s also brilliantly written and impossible to put down. I had to know if Noah and Seven would make it through, if they’d find their happy ending. (Spoiler: they do—and it’s everything.)
What starts as a one way road trip for Noah, an escape with no intention of returning, turns into something life changing when he meets Seven. Seven, with his endless questions, strange quirks, and a light so blinding it cuts straight through the darkness Noah’s been drowning in. Their connection is chaotic, raw, and magnetic. They’re messy, imperfect, and absolutely made for each other.
There are moments that hurt, deeply. The story touches on child abuse, suicidal thoughts, and the scars left by life inside a cult. But amid all of that pain, there is hope. There is healing.
This is not a book for the faint of heart, but if you can, read it. Read it for the love, for the redemption, and for the reminder that even the darkest night can still lead to sunrise. Highly, highly recommended.
I love the boys Seven & Noah but I felt like what they went through needed a little more. I felt bad for both the boys and they both deserved more but I would have liked to see more of there backstories to understand them more. They didn’t need to be fixed but they still found someone who understood them. Love the premise but it still needed a little more of something.
This is a debut novel and I’m super impressed by it ngl. I don’t really have any massive critiques about pacing or characterization or anything??
Seven and Noah are two men who have horrendous pasts at the hands of the people who were supposed to care about them the most. Picking up Seven as an accidental hitchhiker definitely wasn’t part of Noah’s plan. The two of them snark at each other more than anything at first, but slowly come to the mutual understanding that both of them are as screwed up as the other. Their HEA is definitely hard won and I can’t wait to read more from this author!
Oh, and the spice is spicing. Like… a lot 👀
• dual first person pov • small age gap (22 and 27) • so much religious and cult trauma • virgin MMC • daddy kink without age play (and it’s really only used to piss the other off)

what a debut book!! it was really good!!! 2 lost and broken men finding each other on the side of a road and building something so raw and beautiful! they go through hell but they always find their way to each other!! Logan you can be so proud about this book!!! can't wait to see what you bring out next!!! absolutely loved Seven and Noah!
I will read this book over and over again. Picked it up in the evening and finished the next morning!! Don't call me daddy!! Punk!!! I will recommend this book to everyone I see!!
Noah and Seven are definitely the definition of broken boys. My favorite type to read about. Their stories are full of trauma and pain. They definitely fought for their HEA.
I would have liked to have seen a bit more depth. You get a bare minimum explanation on things that are made out to be important. The ending felt a bit rushed and like it was missing some things.
For a debut novel it was good. I'm grateful for the opportunity to read it and help support a new author.
I did like this book. It made me laugh, it surprised me, and I even got a little teary eyed at one moment. However, it didn’t feel heavy enough for the themes that were present and I will admit I am desensitized but it still constantly felt like something was missing. It felt kind of lackluster, like it was missing an intensity that could’ve made it a truly phenomenal dark themed book.
Despite saying that, I do still 100% recommend you read this book if the synopsis intrigues you even a little bit.
Thank you Logan Rivers for the arc read and for sharing your precious characters with us.
- Grumpy x Sunshine - broken boy x broken cult boy - road trip - instalust - morally questionable - slow burn (love) - hurt/ comfort - hard earned HEA
What can I say...
This is definitely something else.
The themes in this book are heavy, but Logan Rivers managed to portray them respectful. Writing about cults, religion & abuse is always a hard topic, so if any of this triggers you - this book is not for you.
This is not a comfort read & sometimes it's gonna make you feel uneasy.
Seven ran from his cult/ religious life to finally be who he is & makes some questionable decisions to finally be free. And even when the past haunts him for months, he is still a ray of sunshine. He isn't thrown off by his past actions to survive. He knows the past will eventually catch up to him - but still tries to make the most of it.
Then there is Noah. Noah wants to die. Noah can't live on with his past haunting him. So he drives, & drives & drives some more. Always alone, but in ( some kind of) peace. Until he meets Seven on the side of a lonely road.
Noah doesn't talk much. Seven can't shut up. Seven likes to push. Noah has a short fuse & will almost always snap.
And with Seven comes drama, action & finally - a purpose back in Noah's life.
Short: Seven is what Noah needs, first doesn't want, but Seven stays regardless.
I don't want to spoiler too much - but when Noah finally acknowledges his feelings for Seven, I wanted to scream: " Finally! Took you long enough, you stupid...!" 😅
This is not your typical romance. It's hard to describe, but this story is definitely something else ( not in a bad way - I promise!!!!) It's a lot of inner monologues, trauma coping & on-the-road-fucking.
With a HEA.
Please read the triggers first, but if you are ok with them, this book is definitely worth a read.

As an official debut novel (previous author book, and first, was a short story), Logan wrote a absolutely-tremendous book.
It's raw, and intense, and heart-crashing, and overwhelming, and hard... so-so hard.
Noah and Seven, both MMCs, have such difficult pasts that trauma rules their present lives. All they search is a way out of the inferno they live in. And then they find each other. On the worst part of their existences, they save each other, even without knowing.
This book wrecked me. And my heart. It drilled a hole in my heart and will stay there forever.
Thank you to the author for this heartbreaking ARC. I will be feral about it staying in my favorites.

4.5 stars - Two guys running from some pretty big demons cross paths, and their lives are changed forever. At first glance, they don’t look like they have much in common. But that changes pretty quickly with each passing mile. Needless to say, their pasts play significant roles in their current situation/predicament, as well as their behavior and mannerisms. Noah being standoffish and not wanting any relationship, running immediately after sex, and Seven with his sex addiction tendencies and neediness, are ironically the same things that draw them to each other.
A quick hook up turns to more, and the only way to describe it is that they really just couldn’t resist each other, but not in a way that was fluffy or hokey. It just was. Seven didn’t really ever give Noah a chance, even without really trying. Noah tries to fight it, but every time, he is pulled back in for one reason or another, and each time, things get more dangerous for everyone involved.
These two have a lot of sex, down and dirty sex, and neither makes any excuses for it. Luckily, their insatiable appetites match up perfectly. I loved the interactions between these two lost souls. Their snark and banter never felt forced. As with everything in this story, it just was what it was. Their pasts are pretty tragic, but in the midst of trying to outrun them, they find each other and in doing so, end up with exactly what they were deprived of up until that point. I wanted to group hug these two in between every sweaty, messy session, but thankfully, after going through some more altercations, they were able to pull through and get it right in the end.
I really enjoyed the writing style of this debut author. I flew through this story and honestly wasn’t ready to say goodbye. Looks like the next ones will be about different characters, and while I’m a little disappointed we may not see Noah and Seven again, I’m really excited to see what comes next.
This book sounded so gritty from the description and the plot intrigued me.
The plot has two guys who are both on the run from their pasts, and both have pretty much murdered someone.
They love their lives a day at a time, only partaking in their carnal urges with strangers. No names, no kissing and no repeats. That is, of course until the two run into each other.
Their meet was pretty entertaining, I mean: would you pick up a hitchhiker who is near a car that's on fire? Would you let said stranger continue to be your passenger if they told you they set their own car on fire?
Both come from painful pasts, Seven is running from escaping a cult and Noah from an abusive relationship. They're full of jagged edges, but somehow they fit together perfectly.
Unfortunately, not all things can stay in the past and bad deeds have a way of catching up to you.
I enjoyed their story, it was well paced and I'm always a sucker when there are serial non-monogamous characters that aren't ready to accept their feelings for the other. How they're not exclusive, but both are extremely possessive and don't let anyone else touch what's theirs.
It almost felt like it was post-apocalyptic in a way, because like them, you really are able to tune out the whole outside world. Neither of them watch TV, have phones or really any tech that connects them to others. They're simply just focusing on where to go next, your car and the open world. Can I technically say that this counts as a road trip romance?
There's also a huge suspense element, because both guys are closed books. Like, glued shut and buried on a remote island somewhere. But as they spend time together, they open up and explain what they've done, and why they've done it.
It turns out that they're more alike than they thought they initially were, and as the stakes get higher, they have to have each other's back.
Thank you to Logan Rivers and Booksprout for the free ARC in exchange for my honest review!
Noah is ready for it all to end. He’s been drifting since his abusive husband “accidentally” fell down a flight of stairs and ended up in a coma — an accident Noah might’ve helped along. Now, he’s a man on the run, leaving behind one-night stands before the sheets are even cool. In his mind, he’s too broken to be saved.
Seven has been running too — ever since he escaped the cult he grew up in. He survives by selling his body, seeking touch as a poor substitute for the love he's never experienced. When he sets his car on fire (literally), Noah is the one who picks him up off the side of the road.
Neither man expects to find true love out there on the broken highway. But against all odds, that’s exactly what happens. The question is — now that they’ve found each other, can they hold on? Or will their ghosts tear them apart?
This book completely surprised me. Yes, there are spicy scenes (and they’re very spicy 🔥 and plentiful), but what really stood out was the deep emotional core. Noah and Seven are both beautifully broken, and their pain felt real.
Seven’s cult background adds a raw, disturbing layer to his character. While I’ve never experienced anything close to that (unless Bookstagram counts as a cult 😂), the themes of control, shame, and indoctrination are scarily familiar in the real world.
If you’re looking for a gritty, emotional MM romance with soulmates, trauma recovery, and heat, this one’s for you.
If Bonnie & Clyde was a story of two gay men, broken, and running from more than the law—Broken Highway would be it.
This gritty, emotionally raw debut by @loganriversauthor follows two scarred souls on a collision course. Fueled by trauma, violence, and unexpected tenderness, Logan Rivers delivers a story that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go.
Noah is a man drowning in rage and heartbreak, shaped by a mother who valued money over motherhood. His only relief comes from the road beneath his tires and the bruising, or sexual encounters that momentarily quiet the darkness inside. He isn’t chasing freedom—he’s chasing an end.
Seven, sharp-tongued and sexually unapologetic, is running from a life that he had no choice in, being born into it. With blood on his hands and secrets in his rearview mirror, he lives by his own rules. Surviving one hookup at a time, he trusts no one and always asks questions.
Thrown together by a near collision, the two embark on a sex-fueled road trip across broken highways and darker memories. What starts as physical slowly morphs into something deeper. Amid the grit and grief, they begin to find solace in one another—though not easily acknowledged.
This is not a lighthearted romance—Broken Highway is dark, violent, and full of jagged edges, but its hard-won HEA makes the journey worth it.

I won’t lie. This opened me a bit raw. Don’t be fooled by all the spice. Yeah it’s very heavy on that side - I am very indifferent when it comes to 🌶️. - it can be open wide door or shut completely but damn all these hard feelings this book gave too. I do wish their journey - connection was a bit more ventured out but I stayed for the feelings and here to stay with this author. Let’s see what’s next. I want to be ruined. No shame.

What a wild ride. Noah and Seven are both broken by their pasts and fueled by trauma, and they embark on a journey through the dark—both literally and emotionally. It’s on the open road, chasing nothing and everything all at once, that they start to find themselves… and each other.
In true Bonnie and Clyde fashion, “Daddy” and “Punk” are ready to go out in a blaze of glory, watching the world around them burn. But everything shifts the moment they admit what they feel. When they stop fighting their ghosts and start fighting for each other, that’s when the real magic happens.
> "We’re torn from the same bloody cloth. Our souls ripped, busted, and bruised."
This debut from Logan Rivers is dark, raw, and gritty—but it’s also tender in the most unexpected ways. It’s grungy and messy, but filled with so much love. The HEA is hard-won, but man, it’s so worth the ride.
You can feel the author’s heart bleeding on the page with every word. The passion Logan has for these characters is undeniable. This is a love story tangled in trauma, banter, cults, and chaos—but at its core, it’s about two broken souls daring to believe they’re still worthy of love.
By the final page, I was gutted in the best way. This story doesn’t shy away from the dark, but it shines a light through it—and that light is Noah and Seven. Their love isn't perfect, but it’s fierce, it’s earned, and it’s unforgettable.
This is the haunting story of Noah and Seven, two men with painful pasts who believe they are broken beyond repair. Noah spends his life on the road, running from regret, while Seven is escaping a dangerous cult with a dark secret in the trunk of his car. Against all odds, these two fractured souls find each other, and their connection is instant and intense.
What I loved most was how their difficult histories were handled with the utmost respect, never feeling like they were included just for the sake of angst. Their story is undeniably sad and painful, but it’s also filled with a surprising amount of hope. You can't help but root for them, even when you want to scream at some of their questionable decisions.
The world-building is fantastic, keeping you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. I’m usually good at predicting plot twists, but this book kept me guessing in the best possible way. The final chapters are absolutely gut-wrenching, echoing real-world horrors in a way that feels raw and powerful.
And did I mention the spice? The heat between Noah and Seven is insane—their scenes are pure chef’s kiss.
This is a beautifully written, intense, and hopeful story about two people finding light in the darkness. Highly recommended.
Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Well, I read the blurb and thought: maybe this is a somewhat difficult book to read, maybe a bit bizarre in places? But it would definitely be worth it. And I wasn't wrong. And as I always say with these kinds of stories, be sure to read the TWs!
These two MCs come from completely different worlds. Their upbringings were completely different, the trauma, the situations they went through, everything about them was completely opposite, and yet, those same things are what made fate, life, or that thing that attracts souls that somehow belong together, converge at some point in their lives.
What they both had to do to survive before meeting each other, what they both had to overcome, was truly hard to read. And once together, what they both do to survive and defend this new opportunity life offers them was tough, but somehow, perhaps because they were no longer alone, it was less painful.
At times, you might have to close your eyes to reality a little and focus on the fact that you're reading a fiction book. Not because what they go through doesn't happen in real life, but because it's hard to believe that they survived those situations on their own, without anyone's help and without perhaps losing their own lives along the way.
It was an interesting book, raw at times, but with two people who somehow, despite projecting a hard and jaded exterior, beneath that surface, their souls remained, somehow, pure and deserving of finding their HEA.
The story of Noah & Seven is haunting. Both are men with haunting and painful pasts. Their histories were treated with the utmost respect and I respect that. At no time did I feel like their backgrounds were written just to up the angst. Both Noah & Seven believe they’re broken in ways no one can understand. And yet somehow against all odds they manage to find each other.
Their story is both sad and painful but despite this, it’s also hopeful. Both Noah & Seven were very endearing despite both also making me want to shriek at some of their dubious decisions. The word building in this story had me hanging on to the edge of my seat and though I’m usually pretty good at guessing endings or what happens next, I was consistently wrong in the best way as I read this story.
The final chapters were honestly gut wrenching and without giving away spoilers, I was reminded so much of events that have happened in the world where places and situations like the last me Seven was running from actually exist.
Did I mention the spice yet? If not, let’s just say the beat level between Noah & Seven was insane. Their scenes were *chef kiss*.
This book was such a pleasant surprise; the way it portrays the characters journey is beautifully written. Noah and Seven are running from a terrible past that is constantly haunting their every move. These ghosts are hot on their heels, leading to an unexpected encounter, putting each other in their path to hopefully meet their fates.
Loved the way the book was told in such a poetic way that made me feel just like the characters in the story.
The way their relationship start is strange and interesting since both of them are hiding something that has broken them differently in their past. Noah is someone who treats people at arm’s length, and his actions towards Seven throw him off because he is doing things out of the rules he established. He is also emotionally dealing with heavy thoughts that prevent him from healing properly from his ghosts. Seven yearns for the closeness of another person that he often finds in quick ways that are not fulfilling him and tries to find that despite clear signs that Noah might not be the one. Their growth and development individually is phenomenal. I admire the way they were able to find their HEA in their own way, despite the tumultuous road they had to navigate. It's just a statement that there is hope at the end of the tunnel.
Noah and Seven are both broken boys with a lot of past trauma. Noah uses random hook ups as a coping mechanism but after he is finished he is left feeling just as empty and damaged as before. A chance run in with Seven on a random highway in the middle of nowhere must have been fate because Seven was hungry for Noah, quite literally. There were a few instances where I was like, is this really happening and I also may never look at butter the same way again. The use of crude phrases and imagery also left me cringing a little.
Over the course of weeks they are on the road they get to know each other better, they also get up to some shenanigans and dangerous situations that had me sweating bullets. Noah is kinda grumpy, emotionally closed off and a bit rough around the edges and Seven is very inquisitive and loves poking at Noah. I was hoping to see more emotional vulnerability and intimacy develop over time than what we got, especially given both of their past. I didn't get quite get that deep aching connection with the character and the story like I wanted.
Overall, I enjoyed the book, I flew through it and it was an interesting ride start to finish.
For a debut, this was great. Read the TWs before moving forward. It’s a beautiful story of mental health, trauma, and love. Both of the MCs Noah and Seven are survivors with extremely traumatic lives that they are both fighting to get away from. What better way than nights driving along the dark broken highway.
I ended up falling in love with the quiet & brooding Noah. (I related to him most.) A past full of trauma and abuse, he lives in his darkness as a ghost to never be seen. He thinks he likes living there while preparing for the inevitable day he knows is around the next cliff. It’s almost impossible not to like Seven. Running from a painful and hateful past, no matter what he has been through. With a love for giving BJs, he is full of questions and always tries to stay positive. Just don’t go near his No, No square unless you want a gun to your head because no means no.
You can definitely tell this is a debut, I noticed a lot of confusing jumps in the story and gaps of information that had me super confused and filling in information. Some spelling and grammar errors, but that’s to be expected with an uncorrected proof. With all of that said, there is so much to love about this book and the healing you experience with the MCs. I wanted more. I can’t wait to see what Logan does next and watch their growth as an author.
Noah and Seven are both young men running from vastly different, but equally traumatic pasts. From the moment they meet, the sexual tension is high and leads to many sexy times. But under all that, there is the spark of a genuine connection building between them. One night leads to another and another, until neither wants to let the other go, yet are too wary of saying it out loud. As they are slowly building trust, the past is catching up, and danger and violence are headed their way. Their joyrney is a difficult one, and after they do what must be done to survive, they move on to the next chapter together, stronger and determined to thrive, and they get to have their HEA. This book delves into some dark themes and should be read with caution. The darker aspects of this book are well written, the character development is well done, but I would have liked a bit more time spent showing the growing connection between Noah and Seven. Overall, I did enjoy this book and would recommend it to anyone interested in these themes.
I received an ARC from GRR, this is my honest opinion. The copy I read needed to be edited and proof read some more, and this will hopefully be done for the final edition.
Maybe is a good book but I sick of this the TW list needs to be at the beginning of the book I don't want to ho to the author web site to read the TW list

These two characters are surrounded by darkness, however most of the warnings are due to exxterior forces. The majority of these warnings are not things that happen between the two men with one notable exception; there is a scene (albeit short) of one choking the other.
