Immediately thrust into the role of medical parent -- it changed not only me, but every single thing. This book incorporates blog posts from pre/early conception on one site, to a dedicated daily blog update -- especially during our months of hospital living. The book encompasses the gamut of emotions, the struggles, the village -- or the lack of one, the praise of nurses as the lifeblood of the hospital, and the necessary survival skill of keeping things light when everything around you is very heavy & dark. Sometimes, laughing was the only sanity-sparing trick.
