I had such a great time reading this debut romantasy! The writing is vivid and immersive, painting each scene with such clarity that it feels like stepping into another world. The world-building is awesome, and the magic system is both unique and layered. I also enjoyed how the characters grew over the course of the story; they felt real and dimensional in a way that kept me hooked.

If you know me, you know I love a slow burn. There’s so much tension and chemistry, plus just the right amount of humor to balance things out—I laughed out loud several times! I’m already excited for the next book. Can’t wait to see where this story goes next!

I loved this from start to finish. I stayed up until late and then got up early to finish. I’d definitely recommended.

I found the story to be captivating. I wanted to know what was going to happen next, who the characters are and where they’d end up. There were parts I realised I’d been holding my breath in anticipation of what was happening on the pages. I truly can’t wait for what happens next.

If you're looking for your next read add this one to the top of your TBR list. I could not put it down between the world building, the character development and the twist and turns every which way I was hooked
from the first page the YEARNING had me swoooooooning
One of my favorite quotes and I promise there are many more but I can't spoil to much
"Even if you were weak, if you didn't fit someone else's definition of strength, that does not mean you are less than. You can still make a difference. You only have to believe it!"
I felt all of the emotions laughing, crying and kicking my feet. If you want a fantasy to grab you shake you and never let go then be prepared on September 16th when the world is blessed with this book

Secondly, what the holy fuck was that?? It was amazing? The twists and turns, the character development and the magic system was so good. The world building and explanations of the magic system really hooked my attention and I loved that you explained this throughout the story to not confuse instantly with too much world building.

The way you built up characters was fab I felt genuine hatred and suspicion for some characters but absolutely loved others and I find that the best form of writing to make you genuinely despise a fictional character yano?!

I guessed a few things that happened but I wasn’t disappointed in by guessing these correctly I just felt victorious in understanding your mind so well 😂

I need you to hook me up with Fyom’s magical tea blend because a girl is missing this concoction in her life.. please?

“prove what?” ““That you’re someone that doesn’t need saving. That you’re someone I can pridefully bow before. Get on my knees for.” Kicking my feet giggling at this 🥵😍

This debut hooked me from page one with action, humor, banter, sisterhood, friendship, and a clever magic system. And the slow burn… pure perfection. 👌🏻 I swear this book has taken up permanent space in my head and I’m definitely not mad about it. 🤭

I’ve always rooted for the underdog, and this story is such a reminder that being different doesn’t mean strange. It means powerful in your own way. It means carving out your path, finding your confidence, and stepping into your strength. L.P. Brooks nails that message and makes it stick long after you close the book.

Some twists unfolded as I expected, but they were so satisfying that it felt rewarding rather than predictable.

I can’t wait to see what's next!

Okay, she’s a thicc girl 📖 (511 pages), so it took me a minute to get through it. However, those pages are filled with captivating world 🌎 and scene setting, complex characters and plot development, legend, foreboding, and the most unique magical system ✨that I have read in quite some time. Full of light vs dark, political intrigue and warring factions, hidden truths, action/adventure, slow burn, a chosen one, royal lines 👑, forbidden romance ❤️, found family, and a bit of spice 🌶️. This one pulls you into the story from the start where Princesses Ophelia & Aurora lose their parents and are thrust into the role of rulers. You easily forget that this is a debut indie author’s first book! The character development is strong - you cannot help but root for the FMC, although I will admit to a love/hate relationship with the MMC. I’m excited to see where this goes next! This would be amazing as an audiobook too!! Definitely a strong 4.5-⭐️ for me. Thanks so much to L.P. Brooks for the opportunity to review this e-ARC. I received a gifted advance review copy for free and am leaving my honest review voluntarily.

I really enjoyed this book! It had a very unique magic system that I’d never seen before and while you have to wait a beat for the MMC to appear, he’s absolutely worth it! Swoon. Yes please teach me how to use a sword and kiss my neck 😍 The cliffhanger had me dying to know when book #2 is coming out!
