Jill comes from a large family with six siblings, including an identical twin. She was raised in the Pacific Northwest and later relocated to Colorado for college and a successful IT career before discovering her talent for writing sweet and sexy page-turners. After Colorado, she decided to move south, living in Texas and now making her home along the Emerald Coast of Florida. You will find that the settings of several of her series are inspired by her time spent living in these areas. She has two sons and off-set the testosterone in her house by adopting three furry little ladies that provide her company while she’s locked in her writing cave. She enjoys heading to the beach, hiking, swimming, wine-tasting, and pickleball with her husband, and of course writing. If you have read any of her books, you may also notice that there is a love of food, especially sweets! She has been blamed for a few added pounds by her assistant, editor, and fans… donuts or pie anyone?
I was given this book in exchange for my honest opinion. SAVANNAH, well that was hard to get past knowing she was the lead. She has been the resident mean girl for the last 6 books. How can she have any redeeming qualities? Ms. Jill has done such a fab job of making me hate Savannah for so long, that it was really hard to get past it. People grow up. People mature. So in the end I don't hate her, but am just kinda tolerant of her. But I do love Billy and the baby.
This was very good. I never liked her in the other books but of course I just couldn't believe everything that had happened to her. She turned out to be very strong. Also Billy jeez what life he had to deal with also. So glad they both got a happy ending
Savannah Douglas went through a traumatic ordeal at the hands of her uncle in her childhood.....she never really got to deal with it like talk to a psychologist. She grew up getting everything she ever wanted and never cared about how she got things or who she'd hurt in the process.
Billy Jackson has always been a bad boy along with his friends Travis Nolan and Corey....It seemed like he was heading nowhere until he found out he was going to be a father and his priorities changed. After an altercation with one of his friends Travis Nolan, Billy realized he had to make some changes in his life.
Billy wanted Savannah to marry him because he had always loved her, he went out of his way to make sure that Savannah knew that no matter how much she pushed him away, he wasn't giving up on their child nor her. Together they brought their beautiful baby girl into the world outside her parents' house.
Despite all her protesting, Savannah found herself falling in love with Billy....the former even reconnected with her friend Lauren West and made new friends in the process. After cleaning up their acts and finally being the family they always wanted to be, Billy and Savannah got an unwanted visit from Billy's father looking to extort more money from them. They handled the situation with maturity.
Billy finally got the girl of his dreams and Savannah found her prince charming......they got their happily every after.
This is the seventh book in the series and its everything you would expect it to be. I must say the prologue is a bit disturbing but it sets up the foundation of why Savannah is the way she is.
Savannah was a different person in this book then we are use to seeing. Gone is the bitchy stuck up snob (thank goodness) and in is a kinder more sincerer woman, motherhood definitely agrees with her. Billy was always a easy to be around fun guy that enjoyed parting with the women but that too changed. We have seen these two in prior books and know how they act now we get insight to why they do the things they do. It's a beautiful thing to watch how these two lost souls work with each other to give their child the life it deserves.

I have to admit that I didn't care for Savannah before this book. However, learning her back story and watching her change in this book, I grew to love her.
This story did not have the suspense that I have felt in Ms. Sanders' other books. However, there were many problems that Savannah and Billy have to face--getting to know each other, Billy's father, overcoming self doubts and learning that independence doesn't just mean one. Little Maggie was such a cute little bonus in the book. She brought out the best in both Savannah and Billy.
This story shows that even the worst mistakes can be overcome and be made better.
Wow - I have only read Loving Lauren in this series and I absolutely loved this book. I know I need to read 2-6 of the books, but it was still smooth flowing for me. I even went back to Loving Lauren to refresh my memory of that story and the little portions that I read of Savannah, it's amazing the transformation she made in this book! The chemistry that built between she & Billy was so romantic and funny. And the love they had for Maggie was precious. Great book & can't wait to read the rest of the series. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Just got through reading Wild Bride, and as usual, Jill Sanders didn't disappoint. This book was a little different from the other West stories, but yet the same. Loved the Tracy storyline. Also how Savannah had changed but was the last to see for herself, much like real life. Jill did a great job showing how tough life can be but can also overcome life's challenges if you believe in yourself and trust others.
I hated Savannah throughout this series, but we find out why in this book... Finding out she was pregnant was a very big shock... Billy man's up and takes his responsibilities seriously.. Along the way his feeling grow for Savannah, but she's too broken to feel the same.. I totally sympathized with her.. I love this series to bits and Jill has done her self proud again!!!
I read the West Series in about two weeks this book is probably my favorite out of all 7 books. I never expected Savannah to change to drastically. I hope she writes more for the West Series I love reading about Fairplay!
Savannah really redeemed herself in this one. When you find out about her past it makes perfect sense why she was such a horrible character in the 1st 6 books. The more I got into it the more her character grew on me. Loved billy and enjoyed reading this one
Loved the last book of the series. I enjoyed how Jill turned the sarcastic Savannah into a sweet loving person and all that Billy did to help her. Great read. Hope there will be more to this series.
This is probably my favorite story of the series as it follows two of the town's misfits who are forced to grow up due to an unexpected pregnancy. We quickly learn about the events that shaped their lives and put them on their destructive paths.
Why conflicted? 1. It bothers me that many romance authors write a storyline that forces the woman to live with the man. It sends the message that they need the man to get by.
2. The H and h get by situations using manipulative tactics (although that is what they have always done).
3. At one point, the h has a tantrum and takes off on a long walk. A few pages later, she is scolding the H for not communicating with her and discussing things. It goes both ways.
4. The changes both go through is nothing short of amazing.
5. They deal with some tough subjects; however, after the h's big reveal, his comfort is to have sex?? Smh
Brief Summary: No need to expand on the author's summary.
After finding their daughter was abused by her Uncle her parents couldn't refuse her anything. Savannah grew to be a very self centered young lady.Thinking she was entitled. Then one day she found she was pregnant. Billie offered to marry her but she very rudely refused. After all he was just a bit of fun, not marriage material. With a lot of love, patience, and understanding we finally see the HE A we were looking for. Very good story. Told with love and understanding.
All of the books in this series are really good. In this one the "bad girl" and "bad boy" of this small town finally get together. She finds herself pregnant and wants nothing to do with him until her parents kick her out to make her grow up. She is forced to move in with him and he has cleaned up his act. Some hot sex, humor, and angst. Highly recommend.
The love story of Billy and Savannah. As a child, Savannah was sexually assaulted by her uncle. That how they became rich. Savannah had a baby girl and Billy has give her a house and he taking responsibility for their baby. Can Billy convince Savannah to marry him? Great story.
Billy is very attracted to Savannah. They've kinda grown up together, both selfish and up to party. Billy gets a wakeup call when Savannah tells him she's pregnant. He takes some insults from her, and her denial of his proposal. He doesn't give up though. This story brings the transformation of a spoiled rich girl, and a reckless bad boy. Lovely.
The fact that I continue to read books by Jill should say it all ! Another wonderful series by Jill ! I love the way Jill brings family and small towns together. I have read several other series by this same author and can't say enough good things.
Another wonderful series by Jill ! I love the way Jill brings family and small towns together. I have read several other series by this same author and can't say enough good things. Beautifully written !
I never dreamed that Savannah could be redeemed, but within three (slightly traumatic) pages of this book, my opinion of her changed completely. She went from awful to pretty likable, and I really didn't think that could happen. That said, I didn't like this book much.
Please remember this review is one reader's opinion.
In my opinion, there were a lot of things in this one that made it difficult to read. Although I understood Billy's desire to have Savannah and the baby in his life, the way he went about getting that was far too manipulative and controlling for my liking. I wanted to like him, but that wasn't romantic, it was frustrating and borderline abusive. Why is it that people find it 'romantic' when a man forces his will on a woman? He basically took her hostage, made her vulnerable and dependent on him...And the worst par is that she allowed it. And later, after they had bonded through their forced cohabitation, Billy's reaction to her admitting to having been molested was to immediately have sex with her? I honestly could not believe what I was reading. I get that these books ride on their many many sex scenes, but in that particular case, a snuggling scene would have been far less creepy.
Savannah, while likable, was a total disappointment. She was weak and far weaker and more pathetic than I wanted – and expected - her to be. The fact that Savannah had a baby then got super skinny right after not because she wanted to feel better, but because some teenagers whispered about her was SO disappointing. Instead of loving herself and owning the fact that her imperfect body carried a healthy baby to term, she let others shame her into making herself “skinnier than she ever was”. With all the pressures on women these days to be the perfect size for their man, even after just having had a baby, I was hoping for more from her. We'd seen how young Savannah had always made herself look perfect in order to make people like her, and I was hoping that grown up Savannah might be strong enough to buck that trend and love herself for who she was, not what she looked like. But no, there was no personal growth there at all. She was still all about making sure she could wear pretty clothes and shoes and be sexy. Of course, Billy came home and just LOVED how she was “so small, so perfect” and her “hips are not smaller than ever”. Would she still have been perfect to him if she wasn't small? Totally disappointing.
While this isn't the worst book I have ever read, and I was happy that Savannah's personality was redeemed, it was definitely my least favorite of the West series.

Savannah Douglas was completely ruined by her parents. She demanded and received whatever she wanted from them and thought she would get the same treatment from everyone else. The only one she hadnt got this from was Travis. Their on and off relationship was over and he was now with Holly, much to Savannah's annoyance.
Everyone in town thought that the baby she was carrying was with Travis, which he denied, but the truth was she had been seeing his friend Billy for a while. Billy was a good time guy who liked his beer and women, and had proven that when he'd continued his partying ways for a while after she'd told him.
Billy had a wake up call and decided to man up about the situation and much to Savannah's disgust, her parents packed up her stuff and quite happily moved her in with him! Billy knew he was in for a bumpy ride, but was determined to show her how he really felt.
A lovely book with a very sad back story of why Savannah behaved the way she did. Proof that anyone can change for the better and everyone deserves a happy ending.
Jill Sanders I freaking ADORE you! All of your series somehow have the same elements while still being 100% authentic. Your characters are some of my FAVORITE. This one blew me away because you managed to make me like someone I severely dis-liked before. Savannah was on my Sh** list for sure until you opened my eyes to her and made me feel like I knew her. You did this in Breaking Travis with Travis as well (I really didn't like him) You took a really hard task and made it seem so easy and for that, as a fellow author I applaud you! Anyway I LOVED LOVED LOVED this novel. Billy is amazing and Savannah grows on you. There story devours you and drags you in. The twists in this story keep you hooked and the writing is fantastic. Read this NOW. That is all
Another great read from Jill. Savannah and Billy wow who’d of thought but from what both had been through as children they are right for each other even though Savannah was a bitc# from what we now know about why she’s like that well forgive her she turns over a new leaf and wow what a change in her it’s brilliant to see and to read how sweet billy is to her she definitely has a good man. Can’t wait to read more from this series
