Peach-Pit (ピーチ・ピット Pīchi Pitto) is a female manga artist duo in Japan, made up of Banri Sendo (千道 万里 Sendō Banri) and Shibuko Ebara (えばら 渋子 Ebara Shibuko). Their group name derives from the diner hangout Peach-Pit from the TV show Beverly Hills, 90210. Although both have similar styles, with some artwork it is possible to identify which artist drew it. Both are known for their bishōjo styled works. As noted in their books, they are both Geminis and have "Almost flushed our phones down the toilet...twice."
The two of them grew up together and went to the same elementary school and have been best friends ever since. Both started as doujinshi manga artists, but not as Peach-Pit. Then they were scouted by Dengeki Comic Gao!. In 2008, one of their manga, Shugo Chara!, was awarded the Kodansha Manga Award for best children's manga. Shugo Chara was also turned later into an Anime television series.
Ohh, such a good story! At times it felt things were resolved and we could get some rest (with Kun-Kun and snacks) but then dangerous things would happen (like that boy from Jun's school, or Megu appearing). I really had fun with this one and I am oh so curious how to continue. On that note Suiseiseki is just such a deredere cutie. Poor her though, Jun is just not going to get what you want with him girl, he doesn't know your fantasies. XD Oh, and I am hoping that Unwound Jun finds his path! I loved seeing what happened to him afterwards and I was so proud that he was figuring things out.
Well, the cliff hanger from the previous volume is "resolved" in the first quarter. So I spent most of my reading of this one waiting for another shoe to drop
Which was my loss--as it had me unable to appreciate various adorable cute and lovely parts of this book. As well as interfered with my ability to appreciate some of the heartfelt moments that occurred
I reread the previous four volumes leading up to this one to allow myself to be more familiar with the events and happenings of this volume. Also because I find them enj0yable--but I must remember to always lie about liking things winky face emoji
I can reread this one (and the others) when volume 6 or 7 comes out, I suppose to properly enjoy the events that happened after the previous volume's conflict is "resolved"
Honestly, I wonder if the writer was being cruel and mocking the audience with Jun talking about feeling paranoid, by having this be a bunch of fun happy times fully knowing the audience would be waiting for something new to happen
Most of this being heartwarming happy stuff (including the "resolution") is honestly well earned. The characters have already been through so much--and there is still some stuff to come
I might have to change my rating upon my next reading of this
This was probably my least favorite volume, alot of stuff happening in this. However it feels like the middle of the story, alot of new things are set up. Sou joins the team! Woo I love them. But importantly the unwound arc is over and Jun is finally in school. This volume seems like a break from the chaos of the last arc, as there's alot of slice of lifey stuff but also alot of arc and plot set ups. I still love the series so much but this was probably the volume I enjoyed the least. I wish there was more dev of Shinku and Jun's relationship however there is some building on the twin's realtionship with eachother and Jun. Bonus points for Wacdonald's.
