Whilst a little dated, much of this book is timeless.

People will always be people, however advanced the technological world becomes.

The end of the book contains an invaluable list of tools and techniques to use with groups and when facilitating.

this book feels dated. that said, general principles about groups might sound simplistic, yet hunter reminds you of different dynamics and emotions that team members bring to the table. the text itself is short with many "tools" at the end. some didn't feel HR appropriate with touching and even one suggesting that you give foot massages to each other!

The fact that this book is still in print 26 years after it was first published is a testament to its usefulness. I found it simple, clear and constructive. If everyone who was part of a group read this book or a book like it I can't help but think we'd be more excited by and productive when it comes to group work.

Simple reference book on facilitation. Small enough to have at hand during a session if you need some inspiration. Liked the thoughts on group synergy.
