A lost love, an unknown child, a curse that threatens them all …
Loki is thrilled to find his lover and her sons didn’t die horribly at Zeus’ hand thousands of years ago but were transported through time by his mentor Demeter, their memories stripped and their powers shielded by an ancient spell. That joy soon turns to ashes when he realises he can never tell Daphne who she is and what they were together unless he wants to unleash an ancient terror on them all. He can’t even claim her youngest son, Gideon, as his own child – a pain that strikes close to his damaged heart.
Until a few months ago, Daphne Edmonds never knew magic existed, let alone that Gods and Goddesses roamed the earth. But when her best friend is outed as an ancient God and his family and friends turn out to be witches, demi-Gods and Cupids, she has no choice but to accept. However, when she and her sons begin to change into creatures of myth, she can’t help but place the blame solely at the feet of one particular, very annoying and far too attractive God of Mischief.
Despite all Loki’s efforts to hide the truth, the ancient witch curse that plagues his life seems to want to make things exponentially worse. When Daphne and her sons begin to change into creatures of legend, it’s not only Zeus’ wrath he has to worry about – but the ancient evil that will seek to use them to help it destroy everything Loki has spent his life protecting.
For lovers of Sherrilyn Kenyon, Nalini Singh, Kresley Cole and Gena Showalter.

Leisl Leighton is a tall red head with an overly large imagination. As a child, she identified strongly with Anne of Green Gables, and like Anne, is a voracious reader and born performer. It came as no surprise when she went on to a career as a performer, script writer, script doctor, stage manager and musical director for cabaret and theatre restaurants.
After starting a family, Leisl stopped performing and began writing the stories plaguing her dreams. She is addicted to sci-fi and romance books and DVDs, she sometimes sings in a choir, loves to ski and horse ride, and was President of Romance Writers of Australia from 2014–2017. When she’s not writing, she helps other writers make their manuscripts shine.
You can contact Leisl through her website www.leislleighton.com or sign up to her Newsletter there and be the first to find out about new releases, appearances, special deals and exclusive giveaways.
Leisl is excited to be part of the Goodreads community and is happy to post reviews, but will only do so for books she has given 4 or more stars. 'I want to share what I love, not put negativity out into the world.'
Poor Loki, the impish God who fell in love with Callianthe and her three sons. They all need to remain hidden from Posidon who is out to remove them for the powers they yeild. They have been cloaked by Demeter and Other Gods and /semi-Gods who are Earth bound in a future unknown to Loki. He finds himself battling a Hellhound to protect Callianthe, who is now known as Daphnie, and her three sons. The Hellhound attack has not only diminished his powers, but his presence in their world seems to be breaking all protection wards around Daphnie and her sons. There is a huge war between the Gods, Demi-Gods and those who exist and are deemed dangerous. Who are they dangerous to? Well, it seems Zeus feels threatened. Will Loki win and protect his family and be able to break the curse that has him in eternal loneliness, no wife, no family? Heart racing and heart breaking book that I could not put down. I found my heart racing at certain situations.
The story continues and Loki is now at a disadvantage. The Hellsbeast attack has left him weak and unable to heal himself as he would normally. Add to that he can't tell Daphne the truth about her past, who she is and what she means to him, which is making his life very difficult. When Violetta starts to tell Daphne that she sees her magic, all hell breaks loose and slowly the truth is revealed, a truth that has the potential to destroy them all. Captivating, this story has had me gripped from the first book. The characters have real depth and I love how Loki hides behind his mischievousness, yet there is so much more to him. He is definitely a character I hope gets a happy ending. There are many twists and turns, shocks and surprises throughout and I can't wait to find out what happens next. A beautiful series by a very talented author. Thank you Leisl.
this was a strong sixth entry in the Gods Cursed series, it had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed from the previous five entries. Leisl Leighton has a strong writing style and I enjoyed getting into these characters. It uses the urban fantasy element that I was looking for and enjoyed the overall concept from this entry. It left me wanting to read more from Leisl Leighton and this world.

The story of Perses' attempt to take over the universe continues with another fated match reinvigorating from the past. New prophecy and ancient knowledge combine to show the growing team the way. Recommend reading the series in order.
