What if the clearest voice on baptism wasn’t a tradition, denomination, or preacher—but Scripture itself?
In Baptism According to Scripture, Bobby Harrington delivers a concise, deeply biblical guide to one of the most debated practices in Christianity. With decades of pastoral experience and theological training, Harrington walks readers through ten key truths from the New Testament to uncover what the Bible really teaches about baptism.
Wrestling with questions about infant baptism, salvation, or immersion? This book invites you to lay aside tradition and let Scripture speak for itself. With clarity and conviction, Harrington shows that baptism isn’t a symbol—it’s the covenant making moment, when faith in the gospel, repentance, and commitment to discipleship in Jesus come together.
This guide equips the reader to understand—and live out—biblical baptism with confidence and faithfulness.
The purpose of baptism has frequently been a point of contention among Christ-followers. But since Scripture teaches there’s “one baptism” it should be a unifying doctrine, not a divisive one. This booklet clearly illustrates the Biblical teaching that “Grace is God’s part; faith is our baptism brings the two together as an expression of concrete belief and commitment.” It couldn’t be explained better! - Bob Russell, Retired Sr. Minister, Southeast Christian Church, Louisville, Ky.
This booklet is a clear, brief, and reliable presentation of New Testament baptism. Baptism is both a confession of allegiance to Jesus the Messiah and a means by which God shares life with us in forgiveness, grace, and the Holy Spirit. -John Mark Hicks, retired professor of theology at Lipscomb University.
I just read Bobby Harringtons book on baptism. What a great job he did. How a person can be thorough and simple enough for anyone isn’t easy but he did it. He also was clear about what is normative in scripture but recognizes Gods ultimate authority to be judge. My friend Bobby knocked it out of the park and we will use it at our church. - Jim Putman, Senior Pastor, Real Life Ministries, Post Falls, Idaho.
