In this volume we finally meet Verde, Endo’s fiancée: a blue-eyed, blond guy that has been taught, since they were little, that he will be the one to marry Endo in order to join their powerful families. But the thing is that Endo doesn’t see him as other than his childhood friend.
Meanwhile, Rikiya finally realizes that what he feels towards the blunt demon is not just friendship but love, in all its complexity. And what does Endo do? He puts it right on the table. He knows Rikiya’s feelings, even if the human says nothing. So he gives him the choice to be with him. But love, like I said, it’s more complex than just having sex.
Now, this story is getting better and better with each chapter! I love the pacing, the comedy, the character development and aesthetic too. I’m quite curious to see Endo’s true form! I must add that the side characters are entertaining to see too and Verde and Gorou deserve their own story, so I’m hoping we get to see them a bit more on the next volume!
In this volume, our MC realizes his feelings for the demon Endo and decides to just be friends with a heartbroken Gorou. However Endo’s fiancé isn’t too happy and decides to come get Endo back.
Verde is an interesting character and while I wanted to hate him, I couldn’t. His appearance brought humor to the manga and maybe a potential LI for Godou??
This manga was entertaining and delightful. I like the fact that we learn more about Endo, his abilities and family life. Endo and Hiriki also grow closer and Mark( our favorite talking bird) is amazing.
Overall I’m really enjoying this manga. I think the relationship between Endo & Hiriki is growing stronger by the minute and the introduction to both Gorou & Verde makes the plotline all the more interesting.
This ended on a cliffhanger so I’m off to read volume 3

I've started reading Yamamoto's series' in early December 2013, and I've fallen in love with all of them. Konya mo Nemurenai started off slower than the others for me, but the second volume definitely made me want for more. Waiting for the third tankobon isn't as hard as waiting for the next Honto Yajuu (or even Omairi Desu Yo), but it's harsh enough.
Somehow, Endo is a mind-reader. He's supposed to know the hidden desire or his contractor so it's probably a given. Endo is already cute in human form but the author still wouldn't show his face in the demon world. It's short and sweet. End with a cliffhanger.
This was great. I love the story line. I can't wait to read more by this author. The art was precise and the characters are adorable. I love the strengths and weaknesses of the characters.
In this volume, the cuteness continues. I like where it starts off because in the last volume we started getting some scenes of Hiriki and Endo getting closer but now it's even more apparent that it's moving into the BL realm (vs. before it was mainly a contract sort of thing). And if you know about Endo's abilities (revealed before the end of the volume), this volume actually gains a tone of hilarity. Like, wow, I would be super embarrassed!
We also get to meet a new character named Verde (aka. Endo's fiance) and he is not happy about being dumped on the wedding day. I know, Endo is such a douche! But introducing Verde also means finally getting to dive into the world of the demons a bit more, and just learning more about Endo in general, which I really enjoyed. We get to see how their relationship was in the demon world and even though Verde is on a vengeance spree, he is super cute and imo, the prettiest Kotetsuko Yamamoto character. It's easy to get attached to him, especially when all the action calms down. But ofc, he isn't the only character that our lovebirds need to worry about, as we come to see by the end of the volume
