Interesting Start
This book is my introduction to Talehia. I enjoyed the story overall. I am a bit unsure if it is a novella or a complete novel.
While I enjoyed getting to know both Ignite and Mi, I found that a bit was lacking in the development of each of them for me. I also felt like parts of the story were a bit rushed. This is not a bad thing, it's just something I observed.
I quite enjoyed following the unfurling of the plot and I thought the banter was great. I found certain phrases repetitive and they didn't push the story along. I adored the similes used, mostly because they were also punchlines and I love a tongue-in-cheek author. I would definitely try another book by her.

Omg yes I love me some Ignitie he seems sooo fine... all.the savage brothers probably fine... I love they love story but MI was bout to make me mad when he was trying to get her an she was playing hard to get. A good love story!

I kept reading trying to give this book a solid chance. Even though the jokes and humor wasn't hitting and the characters seemed more like a fantasy write up than living breathing people. But this line is when I knew I was going to DNF anyway
"and the next thing, I’m hooked on crack in the back of a limo from a Diddy’s freak off from 1999"
There's nothing funny about that ish. It's 2025 and after that trial if you are still joking like it's all sweet I have nothing for you. Especially if situations and events aren't lining up right, the dialogue is stale and the MMC feels like a badly drawn caricature.

Side eye...
Spoiler alert...
So much of this book was outrageously unbelievable. I mean...i get its fiction...but one HUNDRED MILLION dollars a month from setting fires and doing crime? Ok. Then he in open court yelling at judges on the bench and no officers or other courthouse officials say anything? The only thing that helped is it had funny moments. I finished based on that. Bc Jesus and the communion cracker was hilarious.

I love Mimi and her friends and family Mimi mom made a mistake but she got it together and so proud she got the help she needed for her and her family and kids.. Mimi best friends some ride or die that’s what I like to see the never left her side as for Romari I hope he find love and bring a wife like he said you can tell he really loved Rayne it really broke his heart that the man that raised him killed her… I feel like stackez is falling in love with Mimi is best friend I love that for him she will treat him right.. but savage don’t play about Mimi he was on go anytime she needed him I wish there was a part 2 I really enjoyed this book

Chemistry: enjoyable. Our MMC is 10 years older so there is an instant attraction from his perspective with some hesitation on our FMC. Once the “connection” was made, I enjoyed it.
Spice: spicy scenes had the spice on them🥵

Ignite came in bold, dangerous, and fine with that mix of hoodlum grit and sharp intelligence that makes you double-tap a character in your mind. Add BDE with a side of crazy, and whew—he had me gripping my iPad mini like “oh yeah, he crazy… he got just the right amount of crazy 🤪.” He didn’t just walk into the fire, he popped off like it was his playground. Every move he made was hotter than the last, and I couldn’t tap through the pages fast enough.
Mianna? Babyyy, she was pressure. She knew exactly how to handle Ignite’s heat—sometimes cooling it just enough to keep control, other times throwing gas on it just to see him burn hotter. Talehia McCants you had me from beginning to end. The twists and turns with Ignite and Dove were such a journey that could've turned out a lot differently. Ignite didn't even know who or in what direction he was going. I loved how strong she was. She had a heart of gold and the ability to see things and get her needs met. She never felt she would have everything she needed but with Ignite he showed her what real love was. I can't wait to see the next brother. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Chile I don’t even know where to begin.
It gets to a point. Like yes it’s a book but dang, so much happens in this book that’s not realistic is crazy.
I would have DNF but it was a short read so I just kept going no matter how bad it kept getting. And it went from bad to worse.
The fact that this author put Tik Tok lingo in this book was the nail in the coffin that made this book a hot asss mess.
The random storyline with the daddy and long lost son was the other nail in the coffin.
So much I can say bout this, I won’t.

This book was given a four star rating because it was a good book but it lacked structure. I love the writer and her penmanship. The characters in the book were great but the storyline was fair. This was a nice quick little read
I always love a story about someone from the struggle who gets all they deserve and more. I love a real rags to riches love story. This was all that and more. Demaris or ignite was tough, but the love he had for Mianna was destined. And oooooh baby I’m so ready for Romari! I wouldn’t mind Stackz and the best friend’s love story as well.

Ignite was my type of carrying on. That man is unhinged in the best way. Mianna thought she was gonna dodge his love but that man said you’re my wife and I’m not bout to play with you. I love all of this except that Nickname. This is the second book where the nickname was Dada like why?! Anyways it was used pretty minor so that helped. I enjoyed reading. I hope Stackz & Shariyah get a book.

Perfect title
Listen I am an avid urban fiction reader so when I say "Dada" was unhinged I feel very confident in my assessment. The straw that broke the camels back was when he was SUPER confused on why she hadn't put any blood in his food. Yeah sir you are definitely in a category all your on.😂😂 shout out to Drama bcuz he was also hilarious.

a great stand alone
