Sometimes the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and in the case of Caesar Di Rozé and his son, Zephyr, it couldn’t be more true.
I didn’t intend for my one-night stand with Zeph to lead me back to his father’s place, but the moment it did, it was over for me. Caesar Di Rozé is a silver fox with the most delicious dark stare I’ve ever seen. After spending the night with his son, he meets me in the kitchen and proves once and for all that Daddy indeed does it better.
One glance, and I was addicted. But after one touch, I was ruined.
That night changed it all, and when he murmured into the darkness as his son slept in the next room, daring me to return for more, I couldn’t resist. Only it came with one simple caveat—a sacred vow that must be kept—under no circumstances can I fall in love with him.
Easy, right?
Wrong.
Sacred Vow is a Dark Daddy Age Gap Romance. It contains explicit content, detailed violence, high spice, and coarse language. It is recommended for mature readers.
“one glance, and i was addicted. but after one touch, i was ruined.”
i fear sheridan anne can do NO WRONG !!! and i’m here for it every step of the way
thank you so much sheridan for allowing me to arc read and be a part of this book’s journey 💋 always a banger after banger and i simply can’t get enough !!
this is a dark romance, rom com, taboo / forbidden, boyfriend’s dad, stalker vibes, age gap, one night stand goes wrong … or very right, daddy kink, violence, duo pov, standalone 🖤
falling for her boyfriend’s father was something tilly never thought would ever happen to her. but after a one night stand that completely change her life, she indeed gets proven that daddy always does it better 🥰
this is also set in the same world as “haunted love” and that just made it even more enjoyable 🤩
THE SPICE ?!!? good god i think my brain is mush and my legs have turned into jelly 😭 got me walking like bambi after reading this book omg !!
i love a good fmc who is confident in her sexuality, demanding, knows her worth, yet can also be submissive 😍 tilly is just THAT BITCH !! she can make men weak in their knees yet also play the role of a perfect submissive for her daddy dom 🤭 she didn’t lose her spark either !! miss girl’s personality grew twice as much and she bit back harder. i absolutely love her 🫶🏼
This book is yummy 🥵. Tilly knows who is she, what she wants and isn’t afraid to get it. She meets Zeph and it leads to going to his father’s house. While there Caesar shows up and Tilly realizes this is the silver fox she seen at Vixen. And proves that daddy does it better.
Tilly meets Zeph and what starts as a one-night stand quickly spirals into something much more when he takes her to his father’s house. That’s where she meets Caesar - Zeph’s father - and realizes he’s the same man she saw at Vixen. One forbidden touch later, they make a vow to never tell anyone. The only rule? She can’t fall for him…until she does.
This is my second book by this author, and wow - she jumped straight into the story and never slowed down. It held my attention from the very first page to the last. The writing is sharp, the pacing is perfect, and the character development is so well done. This was an easy 5-star read, and I highly recommend it if you enjoy the tropes listed below!
✨ T r o p e s ✨ Silver Fox | Daddy Age Gap High Spice Comedic Emotional Kidnapping One-Night Stand Turned Complicated
Book Cover ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would I recommend this book to you? Yes
I love other books but this author and I love their writing style but this one felt off. The banter felt almost juvenile in certain spots. The story was there but it just fell short for me. I felt as though the build up to the moment Z finds out about Tilly and his dad was anticlimactic. I enjoyed the dad in the spicy moments but everywhere else it sort of fell short for me.
Sacred Vow is such an entertaining and easy read. Kept me engaged and laughing throughout. It's well written, the characters are believable, with Tilly (fmc) and her bff relatable. Ok maybe not totally!!!!
Not only is Sacred Vow a dark romance, it's also a rom com, with a stalker element that is not at all a hot one, an age gap with the most delicious daddy, a couple of entitled delulus who cause some real damage, a bff everyone should have in the form of Chloe who just about rivals Tilly, our main girl, on hilarity. They both come across as sarcastic with a sense of humour that is highly amusing and a habit of getting themselves into highly embarrassing but funny situations. And then there is Zeph.... sigh..... swoon. All round great guy, bit of a puppy dog, great sense of humour, adonis like his daddy. mmmm dreamy.
Tilly's love for ironic slogan shirts is down right hilarious. She is a force that knows what she wants, what she likes, she is unpredictable and a little chaotic. Trouble seems to find her, no matter where she is. Caeser is just delicious, dark, intense, emotionally stunted for good reason, but of course our Tilly totally demolishes his carefully structured walls. Even with their age gap and life experiences being drastically different, Tilly and Caeser still got each other. They were on the same page the whole way through, they just didn't realise it. Their chemistry was off the charts and absolute fire.
It was so good coming back to Vixen, from Haunted Love, and seeing Aspen and Izaac again. Would have loved to see Austin and Becs but I'm still holding out for a book of their own one day. Maybe even just a little novella????
Three words — I LOVED IT!!! Sacred Vow is a delicious blend of dark romance, wicked spice, and laugh-out-loud humor that had me glued to the pages The spice & banter is off the charts. The tropes? Chef’s kiss. If you love daddy kink (and daddy really does it better 😉), age gap, touch-her-and-die, and stalker vibes with comedic relief—this one’s a 5-star ride.
Enter Caesar Di Rozé the ultimate silver fox daddy— commanding, sinful, & oh-so-dangerous. Then comes Tilly— smart, confident and everything Caesar didn’t know he needed. In his eyes, she’s not just captivating—she is a sex goddess. The chemistry between them is electric & will make you want to fan yourself between chapters.
But beyond the steam, what lingers is the story of a man who thinks he’s too ruined to deserve happiness. And a woman who proves she’s not afraid of his shadows & is his match in every way. If you love your romances dark, funny, and scorching hot. This is the book is most definitely for you.
Thank you Sheridan Anne for the arc. It was such an honor to receive & absolute amazing read.
When I say you need to read this book, I mean you need to drop whatever you're doing and read it NOW!
It was hilarious. Tilly's banter had me howling! Her T-shirts? Oh, and her grandma? Absolutely iconic 😂
And the spice? Phew. This is the first book I’ve given a full 5🌶 this year — and when I say steamy, I mean “call the fire brigade” levels of hot. Did someone say masked men? As in 3 of them? 👀🔥
I genuinely kicked, squealed, and cackled my way through this story. Not quote as unhinged as some of the things Caeser and Tilly did though 🫣 iykyk.
There's definitely dark elements to this story so make sure you check your triggers.
Took me a while to finish this one, as I read ARCs in between which kind of gives you the knowledge that this one didn’t hold my attention as all the other Sheridan Anne books I’ve read.
Our FMC Tilly, goes to Vixen a s3x club regularly, I suppose it doesn’t hurt that it’s her cousins boyfriend who owns it. Whilst in the VIP section she is watching a couple, but the man keeps his eyes on her all the time. She can’t get him out of her mind but ends up with a guy from her class, who takes her home. His Dad walks in and Tilly realises it’s the same man from the club. Let’s just say there’s a lot of spice, her comical banter and feistiness comes through. It’s not all spice though as someone lurks behind the scenes.
I just didn’t enjoy this one, like others have said it’s hard to explain why but it was very predictable, which is not something I usually associate with Sheridan’s books. It’s an age gap, obsessive romance with spice and a little bit of jealous mayhem thrown in.
I consumed this book like air to breathe, I knew being a stand alone Sheridan Anne it would be fantastic but I really loved that it was set in the same world as haunted love as I LOVED that stand alone also. I wasn’t sure how I would go with this a trope but I 100% loved it and will read again. The Vixen club is where dreams come true.
Wow! Amazing read! Like... off the charts! Phenomenal! Tilly is hilarious. I love her attitude, her take no crap personality, knowing what she wants and going after it! Zeph may be my most favoritist character ever. And don't forget Daddy Caesar! The book is hot, spicy, had me ROTFL. It's a dark romance with so much comedy that it could be a rom-com, if not for the darkness. It's connected to Haunted Love but you won't be confused without reading first. Highly recommend (both books really)!
5 phenomenal stars. These characters were top tier! this was a delicious age gap romance with a splash of darkness (check your triggers), banter, spicy scenes, and so many one liners I need to write down. I am OBSESSED with all 4 of these people. I definitely need Chloe and Zeph!
Wow! I did not think this book would be this funny. I was crying with laughter at parts of this book. Don't get me wrong, there are also some dark bits!
I had the absolute best time reading this! I loved the characters. Loved being back at Vixen, too.
I will shout from the rooftops that Sheridan is underrated. I’m obsessed with her writing. Sacred Vow was another one of my favourite reads of the year. If you love banter with your darkness add this one to the TBR immediately.
I wasn’t sure about this book as I’m not one who enjoys age gaps normally but this was amazing! The banter had me laughing so much! Overall I will be adding this to my library
Sheridan always knows how to hit when it comes to smutty goodness!
- Forbidden - Dark Romance - S*x Club - Boyfriend's Father - Age Gap - Spicy
Tilly is a 22YO college student who just wants a good "lay". She is sick of "college boys" & when her cousin gets her an in with the local Vixon s*x club - She jumps right on in with her best friend & room mate in toe! This is where she meets single dad in his 40s; Caesar.
Caesar Di Roze has had a, life. A single dad to a 21YO son & a successful business owner, he is lucky to now have the opportunity to live in the wealth he has worked hard for. But, something / someone is missing. And when he sees Tilly across the room at Club Vixon, he is memorised. But when he walks through the front door and sees her flirting with his son the next night, he is left feeling confused. Until Tilly shows the same interest back. They then enter a sacred vow - s*x with no emotion. A forbidden lustful affair not just behind Caesar's sons back, but Caesar also is hiding it from his work colleague & friends.
But as their lustful affair continues, they find the sacred vow may be harder to keep than they both once thought. Especially when they both give each other, the something they are missing. And with a 20+ year age gap & Caesar trying to move on from his dark past - Can they truly be each others person?
There is also a “thriller” sort of sub plot in this book, which honestly - made no sense to me. I won’t go into it but know it’s just not a simple age gap spicy romance, but full of unnecessary drama that made me nearly not finish the book.
Trashy book. This is only about dirty sex is not dark romance is porn, never happens a real conversation between the main characters and when they are not doing sex they are talking about it, all this book about is SEX!, I have read already a few books from this author and she is not for me, all her main female characters are too slutty a lot and never get characters development, I was wondering if this girl do not have family or job, because everything going on here is her having sex with father and son and she enjoying it, and when they fell in love I was like: when this happened? I hated everything in the vixen club, I hated a lot this club and this was the author's favorite place for their intimacy. Too many silly things happened in the story line, incoherences and idiots situations. These characters were horrible, Ceasar I never liked him neither Tilly.
The way I absolutely devoured this book should be a crime! This was one of my most anticipated releases and let me tell you it did not dissapoint!! I will say 5 stars simply doesn't do this book enough justice, it is worth INFINITE stars!!!!
I was hooked from the first couple of pages and from there I just had to keep reading, like I genuinly struggled to put this book down if I'm honest. This book is packed with some incredibly funny moments albeit some are quiet embarrassing for our FMC Tillie but that just made it so much better in my opinion. I actually cackled so hard at some of the things that happened in here I was left struggling to breathe and had tears streaming down my face because what are the fucking chances. The way chapter one kicks off had me howling with laughter but at the same time I was absolutely mortified for her! The banter in this book is also top tier! I love our FMC and her internal monologues, I love her friendship with Chloe and also with Zeph through the story. There are definitely some hilarious comments made between the three of them and I ended up loving each character even more as the story progressed. The spice was also SPICING!!! I do also love how some of the scenes in this book take place in Vixen the exclusive sex club I fell in love with during Haunted Love.
Tillie our FMC is sassy, funny, confident and loves to stir up trouble in the most delicious ways. She is easy to love as a character especially with her custom t-shirts that are literally so fitting for every situation she finds herself in. This girl definitely has a wild side which we love and after having a moment with a myseterious silver fox in Vixen she cannot get him out of her head. A hookup with Zeph leads to a friends with benefits situation and imagine her surprise when the silver fox she can't stop thinking about turns out to be his super hot and super single dad. Things were bound to get interesting that's for sure and boy did I love the ride!
Ceasar our super hot, super dominant silver fox is literally THE MAN. The way this man commands your attention was one of my favourite things in this story. He is dominant, has a dark past he doesn't discuss and he takes what he wants with no apology! This man could have literally told me to jump and I would have asked how high. The fact that he commands not only Tillie's attention but also her body pretty much instantly had me desperate for more. This girl is also the only one that can bring our Dom Daddy to his knees in the best way possible and I was OBSESSED. The lessons he teaches along the way (if you know, you know) had me feeling a certain type of way and holy crap I wanted to be Tillie so deperately. I also love that he calls her hellcat and encourages her wild side.
These two together were everything I didn't even know I needed. There is one scene in here where he says "crawl to me" and I quiet literally almost died right there because holy god damn! Someone definitely needs to burn my kindle when I die because the things I read in this book would definitely make a priest blush.
Would one million percent recommend but also check your trigger warnings as there are still a couple of darker themes and situations that take place in this book outside of our spicy encounters. Sheridan Anne is an auto buy author for me and this book just further solidified that!
This was such a fun read and I didn’t want it to end. Everything was on-point from the writing, the lovable (mostly) characters and the laugh out loud moments. Sacred Vow has the perfect blend of plot and spice. While this is considered a dark romance, I would call it more a dark rom-com. There is a stalker – so check your triggers.
Tilly is pure chaos. She’s sarcastic and hilarious. She lives her life loud and unapologetically. There is a lightness about her that you can’t help but find endearing. From the first chapter of this book, you immediately fall in love with her. I want to be her when I grow up.
Ceasar is the perfect silver fox daddy. He’s protective, broody and intense. Due to his past, he has built his walls up so high that no one can scale them. At least he thought so until a chance encounter with Tilly at Vixen. One look at Tilly and he is intrigued. Days after that encounter he still can’t get her off his mind. Imagine his surprise when he comes home and finds his Hellcat with his son, Zephyr. Yeah, what are the chances?
Zephyr is basically a younger version of Caesar. Except where Ceasar is a Doberman, Zephyr is a Golden Retriever. What starts out as just ‘scratching an itch’ with Tilly, soon turns into a deep friendship. I loved the conversations and banter between them. And I was so happy to see how things ended for him.
And then there’s Tilly’s bff, Chloe. She is just as hilarious and sarcastic as Tilly. They are each other’s ride-or-die. Everyone needs to have a Chloe in their life.
I can’t say enough good things about this book. The chemistry between Caesar and Tilly was pure fire! Even though these two are coming from different places in their lives, they just fit - they get each other. The plot was well paced and flowed well. I had a feeling I knew who the stalker was any why, but I didn’t see the twist with that coming. I loved the banter between all of the characters. Some of the things that stick out to me are Tilly’s ironic T-shirts and the hilarious text messages with her grandma. Those were priceless gems. I wonder if her grandma would adopt me?
Overall, if you’re looking for a spicy age-gap read with a dominate silver fox, then this one’s for you. You’ll laugh, you’ll swoon and you’ll probably need to break out the fan from the heat. 🔥🔥🔥
Listen, there’s a reason I crowned Sheridan Anne my “Insta-buy Queen”—this woman drops books like Beyoncé drops albums and writes plot twists that will whiplash your soul in the best way possible. Sacred Vow? Whew. I thought I was getting one thing, and then BAM—it turned into something ten times hotter, funnier, and more addictive than I imagined. Sheridan really said, “plot AND spice, babe,” and delivered.
Let’s talk Tilly. This girl is pure chaos wrapped in ironic T-shirts and sarcasm, and I want to be her when I grow up. She’s sex-positive, bold, and so unapologetically herself, she makes “main character energy” look like a personality disorder I want to catch. She struts in, makes zero apologies, and basically dropkicks shame out the window. Her vibe? Chef’s kiss.
Then there’s Caesar—Mr. Silver Fox Daddy himself. He’s broody, commanding, knows his way around a female body like he majored in it, and yet still convinced he’s “unworthy of love.” Sir, please. Tilly could bring Zeus to his knees, so good luck holding out. Their chemistry? Let’s just say I combusted so hard, my Kindle nearly needed a fire extinguisher. These are some of the hottest scenes I’ve ever read, and not once did they feel like filler spice—they’re woven seamlessly into the story.
But wait, Sheridan didn’t stop there. She threw in a supporting cast that deserves its own sitcom. Tilly’s BFF Chloe? Sarcasm with glitter—ride-or-die, hilarious, and someone we all need in our corner. Caesar’s son Zephyr? If Caesar is a Doberman, Zephyr is the golden retriever you want to take home and cuddle. Their friendship with Tilly gave me actual serotonin. Oh, and the grandma texts? Priceless gems. I’m still wondering if she’s taking applications for adoption.
And because Sheridan likes to play with our emotions, there’s a stalker plotline lurking in the background. Thought I had it pegged. I was wrong. Twist: delivered.
Bottom line? Sacred Vow is a spicy, hilarious, age-gap dark rom-com (yes, I said dark rom-com, sue me) with a silver fox who could ruin your life in the best way, a heroine you’ll want to be besties with, and banter so sharp you’ll laugh out loud while simultaneously fanning yourself. Sheridan Anne does it again. I didn’t want it to end—and now I need Tilly’s wardrobe and Caesar’s phone number.
I'm torn on this as I've enjoyed other books by the author and while I enjoyed aspects of this one it just didn't hit completly for me.
I liked the blunt and bould personality of the fmc, but at the same time I didn't adore her choices and found some of her behaviour a little too much (not in terms of any triggers, just in terms of over the top antics and general attitude).
I did like Zeph and have mixed feelings on Ceasar. I loved the silver fox sex daddy aspect and loved that he was hot and heavy in his late 40s, but I also found his behaviour when his son was direclty invovled a little cringe. On one hand he literally went to jail for his son, but he was also willing to 'shag' his sons' girl in close proximity to him... it was... eh... I know that the character explained his motivations and ultimately Zeph seemed okay with it, but I wasn't completley signed over.
The subplot was okay - I guessed Jordan pretty early on and fundamentally could accept that and get on board, the thing that threw me was the Annie connection.
Moving on from the mother/son dynamic... How on earth did she get into his house? Ceasor is a security expert? I can get she could source his address, but I needed more information on how she broke in? Did Jordan have a key? did I miss the explanation? Also why did he wait to tell Izaak? that's surely a quick phone call...
Anyway.
It was fine. It was very smutty and if you're wanting hot heavy spice then dive in.
5⭐ : couldn't put it down, lives in my brain loved the characters, the plot, completely absorbed.- will fight people to read more 4⭐: really enjoyed, struggled to it down, enjoyed the overall story and will read more by the author always 3⭐: enjoyed and finished the book happily. will probably read more but not necessarily leaping lines to get there. 2⭐: it was okay. I didn't necessarily hate it but didn't love it either. probably unlikely to read more. 1⭐: very likely hate read as I can't dnf a book.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I will accept zero criticism on this one, none, zero. This story was exactly what I wanted to it to be and then some.
Tilly Bardot you gem, I am in love. This woman knows how to stand her ground. Go after what she wants, doesn’t let people tear her down and will if they try she goes down swinging. Her interest is peaked when she spends a night at Vixen and locks eyes with Silver Fox. The energy between them is palpable it radiates off the pages.
Zephyr Di Roze the son of the silver fox. Which Tilly strikes up and mutually beneficial relationship with. They get to know each there satisfy their needs and pick on each other. It is until they have a run in with his Dad that Zeph figures out there is something going on.
Caesar Di Roze has to be everyone woman’s fantasy. Like how can he not be. He’s smart attractive wealthy and knows how to f**k. But he has been through some heavy shit in his life and has made himself believe he doesn’t deserve love or attachment.
Tilly spends time thinking she will never see this man again so when she tries to scratch the itch of wanting him, well she ends up with his son. 🤣 Caesar however wants to make a deal with her. He will also satisfy her but there is a rule that can’t be broken. She can’t fall in love with him. Tilly doesn’t fall in love so that’s a piece of cake.
There is so much banter and quick wit between all the characters. Tilly is unapologetically herself and loves to get a rise out of both Zeph and Caesar. What was supposed to be casual fun turned into so much more. There was drama and things I didn’t see coming and my jaw dropped a few times.
Not only is the spice sooo good but the plot was fantastic. The way the characters developed throughout the story made me so happy. I won’t forget this book for a very long time… and I think Caesar moved to the top of my list 🖤🖤
