I thought I could finish it, but I don’t think I can.
I am JUDGING, and I really mean JUDGING - every single person that gave 5 stars. Just for sex alone? I could see it, but for fuck’s sake, you can’t ignore everything that is happening in the background, like:
1. Starting out strong. How STUPID you have to be (and that is a rhetorical question, because you have to have an IQ of a rock) to wax your pussy on an Instagram live and not be aware of it? Just how? But she’s not like other girls. But she’s annoying like the rest of them.
2. I am all for sexual freedom for women, but the girl is simply too cheap (she fucks a random hot guy in a bathroom after he mimics having sex with her during class). I mean… I once read a quote: “A slut is a woman with morals of a man”, and yeah, this applies to her. She fucks around like a man, and I know some will find it liberating, I found her cheap. Not to mention she doesn’t have much of personality except for being horny.
3. Conversations are cringy AF. When she was having that bathroom sex, I was dying from embarrassment. I have no idea how she could find this cheesy conversation enjoyable, but okay. And then it all feels so flat. Does the author know how humans interact? I doubt that.
4. Relationships. The premise was “a one-night stand with a son leads her to fuck the dad”. I understood one-night stand as a literal one-night thing (my bad). I was wrong. Girl wanted a cookie and ate a cookie. She was fucking both at the same time. Literally. The son was way too calm about the whole ordeal, and the dad was too supportive of the “yeah, fuck my son, and I will fuck you on the side”. Or moments where he fingers her right there, showing his son how to do it. Whaaat? Everything is so underdeveloped and fucked up!!!!
5. Why is this book almost 500 pages long?! We didn’t even have that much sex with the hot daddy. We had too much sex with the son. But maybe something changes after 50%. This could have been 300 at best.
6. To add “stalker/cyber bully” drama just feels useless. So the son has a best friend who turns out to be a dick, and I’m pretty sure he’s the culprit. Why? What does it bring? Nothing, except for making me roll my eyes.

I picked it up because the reviews were so high, but y’all are blind or in heat. And I’m in the middle of my ovulation. I was here for that D and still couldn’t finish. The sex is good. Especially when Daddy is involved. But um… that’s it.

This wasn’t a personal favorite.

I love other books but this author and I love their writing style but this one felt off. The banter felt almost juvenile in certain spots. The story was there but it just fell short for me. I felt as though the build up to the moment Z finds out about Tilly and his dad was anticlimactic. I enjoyed the dad in the spicy moments but everywhere else it sort of fell short for me.

I love age gap but this just didn’t hit for me.

TILLY IS A FUCKING MENACE! But I loved every second of it!!!! Tilly Bardot knows exactly what she wants and she has absolutely no problem going after it! After a spontaneous hookup with Zephyr, she ends up at his house only to discover that the gorgeous silver fox that she can't stop thinking about is actually Zephyr's father, Caesar Di Roze! What starts as a wildly complicated and very forbidden situation turns into an arrangement between Tilly and Caesar, with one very important rule. They cannot fall in love! Because that always works out, right? The banter in this book was so freaking good!!!! Tilly's ability to ROAST everyone had me laughing constantly like whole body shaking, laughter. She was the embodiment of chaos! She was sarcastic, chaotic, bold, completely unfiltered, and honestly one of the most entertaining FMC'S I've read. This book was such a fun read but it still had some heavy shit, literally my favorite! And Caesar? Holy shit, you literally melt. He's the "crawl to me" type of melting! Silver fox, age gap, the possessiveness was everything. Morally gray vibes. The chemistry. The SPICE. Everything about them was giving melting and hot flash vibes. I loved watching their relationship evolve from something that was supposed to be purely physical into something neither of them could control. There's also the stalking from someone else who made you guessing what the hell has she done to make someone want to her harm her the entire book! There's danger, obsession, darker moments, and emotional depth woven into all the chaos! This book has it all and I was absolutely engrossed. STUCK. You've got age gap, forbidden romance, boyfriend's dad, silver fox, dark romance, morally gray MMC, daddy dom, high spice, and banter for fucking days! Like pearl clutching spice! 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!

This is my second book by this author, and wow - she jumped straight into the story and never slowed down. It held my attention from the very first page to the last. The writing is sharp, the pacing is perfect, and the character development is so well done. This was an easy 5-star read, and I highly recommend it if you enjoy the tropes listed below!

Am i obsessed with age gap dark romance now? Um, yes!

I’ve never been hugely attracted to the age gap trope but this book had me in a chokehold! This was hilariously funny and damn hot with a 6’3 silver fox.

FMC Tilly is in college studying but also has a super high sex drive, she goes to a sex club that her friends own and notices a guy that takes her breath away, they don’t talk or connect and go home with the expectation of never seeing each other again.

MMC Caesar is a wealthy man with a son who also attends the same college as Tilly. He has a dark past that we slowly uncover throughout the book, one he likes to be kept a secret.

I had no expectations going into this audio, I was worried that the spice would overtake the plot but it didn’t whatsoever. I was dying with laughter between Tilly and her best friend Chloe, it’s a friendship that can be so relatable. The audio itself is actually one of my favourites, the narrators brought the story to life and felt so immersive.

Highly recommend listening to this!

My only little gripe?

Why did we have to merge Chloe’s story into this one?! Because personally, I think Chloe could have had her own whole damn book. Just throwing that out there. 👀

Absolutely beautiful. Deliciously taboo and completely captivating.

And I am very glad I went in blind because sometimes knowing absolutely nothing is exactly how you need to experience a book like this. 🖤🔥

Funny and spicy

While some of the subject matter in this is decidedly not funny (stalking, cyberstalking, @$$@ult, attempted r@¶€) there is plenty of good banter and amusing situations to balance things out. Reading about the chemistry between Tilly and Caesar (Cesar? I already forgot how to spell if) during a heat wave was a mistake because between the hot weather and all the spicy scenes I was legit sweating. This was fun to read but now I'm trying not be sad at not having my own Caesar.

Sacred Vow is such an entertaining and easy read. Kept me engaged and laughing throughout. It's well written, the characters are believable, with Tilly (fmc) and her bff relatable. Ok maybe not totally!!!!

Not only is Sacred Vow a dark romance, it's also a rom com, with a stalker element that is not at all a hot one, an age gap with the most delicious daddy, a couple of entitled delulus who cause some real damage, a bff everyone should have in the form of Chloe who just about rivals Tilly, our main girl, on hilarity. They both come across as sarcastic with a sense of humour that is highly amusing and a habit of getting themselves into highly embarrassing but funny situations. And then there is Zeph.... sigh..... swoon. All round great guy, bit of a puppy dog, great sense of humour, adonis like his daddy. mmmm dreamy.

Tilly's love for ironic slogan shirts is down right hilarious. She is a force that knows what she wants, what she likes, she is unpredictable and a little chaotic. Trouble seems to find her, no matter where she is. Caeser is just delicious, dark, intense, emotionally stunted for good reason, but of course our Tilly totally demolishes his carefully structured walls. Even with their age gap and life experiences being drastically different, Tilly and Caeser still got each other. They were on the same page the whole way through, they just didn't realise it. Their chemistry was off the charts and absolute fire.

It was so good coming back to Vixen, from Haunted Love, and seeing Aspen and Izaac again. Would have loved to see Austin and Becs but I'm still holding out for a book of their own one day. Maybe even just a little novella????
